Diagnostic Imaging

This was my first mammogram — I needed it because my mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
After my doctor ordered the mammogram, they called me to schedule the appointment and scheduled it for the very next day. When I showed up I was treated with warmth and understanding by both the receptionist and by the radiology tech. (I wish I could remember these ladies’ names…) The place is like a spa — private dressing rooms, terry cloth robes, lotions, deoderants and fragrances for you to use when you’re finished. You can tell the mammography is a huge amount of their business because they have it perfected. The tech was young (late 20’s) and seemed just thrilled with her job — she took me aside to show me the image of my breast tissue on the screen. I love geeking out with people of like scientific minds!
This could have been a frightening experience — of course it helped that I didn’t have breast cancer — but I will go out of my way to go to Diagnostic Imaging of Salem in the future.

I am from out of town and needed emergency imaging. I was scared. The staff at this place were so kind and they squeezed me right in, did their best to soothe my nerves, and helped me through the process. Everything turned out fine. But even if it hadn’t, I know they would have been wonderful to me.
In addition, the facility was comfortable and very patient centered. The equipment seemed like it was state-​of-​the-​art.
I was so impressed and cannot recommend it more.

I cannot begin to tell you how absolutely wonderful the staff and lead tech are. Everyone treated me like a princess. The open MRI was very comforting. The lead tech is a very very caring wonderful man.
