Dilisio Bros Golf Range

This place isn’t super fancy and they’re maybe a little grumpy but it’s pretty classic. I always hit balls there when I’m in the area. You can get lessons. Never took one so I don’t know how the pros are but this is an old time, ball beater’s driving range. Oh. And they only take cash.

Nothing special about this place. I tried going once before, but drove out there just to find out they had decided to close early for no apparent reason.
I just read another review that said they have grass tees. If that’s so, they make no effort to advertise that fact. I didn’t see any signs indicating there were grass tees anywhere. They must be located at the far end of the range. You’d think the gentleman at the counter would mention that I had the choice to hit off grass or mats.
I found the prices to be a bit inflated at $ 8 for a small bucket (about 25 – 30 balls) and $ 11 for a «large» that seems to only hold 10 – 15 more balls.
The range itself is okay. The yardage markers seem pretty accurate. There are no hoops or fun targets to aim at. The ground is pretty uneven, which makes it hard to judge the total distance of a drive since your ball could get no roll whatsoever depending on what part of the fairway it lands on.
All in all, this place is ok if you just need to hit a few balls and work on your swing. If you want a little more visual stimulation, as well as more bang for your buck, you’re better off driving up 114 to Paradise Golf or Golf Country in Middleton.

Great place. Just completely replaced all of the grass and now it is plush. They are cash only but it is the only place aside from an expensive course where I can hit balls off GRASS. Unless you want to drive far away to hit old cut up balls off mats this is your place.

This place is a total shit hole. I showed up and there’s a lovely port-​a-​potty in the parking lot. The grounds are a total mess. I had checked their website before I drove there to view their hours, etc. When I show up and pull out my debit card, the cranky old man behind the counter immediately says «Cash only!» Not in a nice way. The website said nothing about it being cash only. I had a few bucks on me, but not enough for the small bucket… so I just left. He didn’t seem very disappointed to lose the business. Pretty much just glared at me.
Nice first impression. I live close by, but I will not be back. Way to make a newcomer feel welcome…
