The staff at GameStop are very helpful! I shop here for my gamer daughter and they always know what’s new, what’s good, and what’s popular.

My friend had a game to trade in for her daughter but she didn’t have a photo id which is required for trade in’s. I went with her and gave them my id for her to trade it in. I was already annoyed by the fact that they require a photo id to trade in a stupid $ 5 game but I gave him my id and after he copied the info I took my id and left. My friend was still finishing up the transaction and the guy working at the counter told her they had to take her picture and submit it to the Salem police department as required by law. After she was finished she told me he took her photo and pointed to the notice taped to the counter indicating he was required to do so. I went back in the store and the notice taped to the counter stated that the Salem PD required them to photograph the merchandise, not the person trading it in. I strongly suggest not going to this GameStop because God only knows what this weird-o was doing with these photographs. Find another location to trade in your games.

The manager at this specific location(sorry dude, I forgot your name!) is a superstar. I came in here thinking I would get sent away like I did at all the other places. We moved from Iowa, where I had a preorder for a CE game, but that store closed, we moved to the area, and no place was willing to track things down(why on earth they don’t have a centralized way of searching this as a company is beyond me). The manager apologized multiple times, made a few phone calls, and had me good to go with $ 50 credit emailed to me within half an hour. This may seem like a long time, but they guy did have to do a bunch of tracking, and after assuming I wouldn’t ever see the money I put down($ 50, by the way) I was happy to finally even have someone looking into it.

They’ve got a pretty good selection of games, from used to new, and for relatively better prices than the Gamestops in MA. What i have noticed at Gamestops across the board, though, is that they all tend to have little store space. Even the teenaged cashiers knew how to handle game sell-backs from tough customers(like those without any photo ID whatsoever), and showed enough courtesy to their customers.
