I just moved to Salem and I hadn’t seen a dentist in a while. My last visit to a dentist was a nightmare; they were awful. So I hadn’t been back to the dentist in over a year. I live on essex st, and I called this office because it’s a one minute walk from my house and they take my insurance. The secretary informed me that they require a referral to be seen there. WTF? More specifically, a referral from a current patient or a former dentist. Well, I don’t know who their patients are, and the last time I was in a dentist’s office I was only seen by the techs, and I never went back. I was very polite, but she wouldn’t make an exception. I found another dentist a few houses down from them. They were much nicer, and wondered why I asked if they require a referral.
