You can watch your food being made & then enjoy it in this cute bakery. The owner & staff are incredibly friendly. Honestly the most delicious cupcakes my sister & I have ever had.

It’s so awesome someone is catering to the vegan and vegetarian needs of this city and on top of that the food is really good and not overpriced so I’ll give it a try I loved it and have gone back several times they’re very consistent.

I never write reviews, but this place is so good I’m inspired to make an exceprion. I’m sitting in Jodi Bee Bakery right now enjoying a French press coffee and a slice of their potato, egg, spinach slab pie. The pastry is light, flaky and not at all greasy. The filling is well balanced. I had them heat it up for me, and I am regretting that because now it’s too hot for me to eat as quickly as I would like to. The coffee is strong, earthy, and is free of bitterness.

I wish I could say I adore this place because of the fair tade/vegan/grown close to home/unrefined/gluten free focus of the Bakery. And for people that are into that, its an awesome option. But this is just an awesome bakery period! If that adds something to your experience then I think that great! So many great options here for baked goods. And they look spectacular in the case lol I couldn’t choose one. The soup was good! Coffee excellent. You can see them whipping up the cakes on the side room which was a cool touch. The staff was super sweet and helpful. I had all of my cute but ever savage children and the cashier brought over our food for us. Reasonably priced especially for the high quality ingredients! I probably will get criticized for writing so many 4 and 5 star reviews. But I review what I like and this place is worth it! Adorable and high quality!

Amazing baked goods and other products that cater to anyone with or without dietary restrictions. Was very impressed with the vegan quiche. A friend with no dietary restrictions told me the vegan cupcakes here are the«best cupcake [they] ever tasted,» and it’s definitely some of the best in the area. If you are, for whatever reason, turned off by vegan /gluten free foods, you are missing out big time.

Phenomenal. My favorite part besides having gluten free items galore? She uses fair trade UNrefined, UNbleached sugar. So I can go in there and know that although I will be indulging in sugar, it will not be the super-high-on-drug feeling of that intense rush of junk through your system and then the inevitable crash.(I’m sure for frostings and stuff she has confectioner’s sugar, but otherwise …) MEM teas is what she stocks and I have loved them for years and am so glad she uses them(they are a local importer of teas from Watertown, I believe). She pays attention to steeping them the correct time, as well. To sweeten your drinks she makes a simple syrup out of the aforementioned sugar(there are other options as well). Brown butter sea salt topped chocolate chunk freaking cookies! Gluten free always. The brownie bites are to die for and addictive and her macaroons are delicious and often chocolate dipped. I am so looking forward to going there one day when she has the gluten free WHOOPIEPIES available! Her vegan and vegetarian options are great, with savory choices like soups/stews and quiches/oatmeal bars(but more like cakes, really, they are so thick). And of course you can grab a cuppa Joe if you are hankerin’ for that side of the caffeine spectrum. Friendly service, educated on what they are doing and what you can and can’t have based on your allergies/food sensitivities, and seem to really put a lot of love and tender care into the business.

Every time I go to the Peabody Essex Museum, I stop here with my kids for a sweet treat afterward. The desserts are fresh and homemade. What makes this bakery special is that they offer absolutely delicious gluten free and vegan desserts. My family has no GF issues, nor are we vegan, but we’ve tried the offerings thinking that they wouldn’t measure up to the baked goods with butter. We were wrong — very wrong. We just had a moist, scrumptious lemon lavender cupcake that was heavenly. And it was vegan. My kids love the GF whoopee pies. The chocolate cake is chocolate-y but not cloyingly sweet(nothing here is too sweet), the cream filling tastes like vanilla cream. It’s a good thing I don’t live closer to this bakery, or 1. I’d overspend, and 2. we’d be portly(even as active as we are). HIGHLY recommend you try it ASAP.

The only thing I don’t like about Jodi Bee are the price-to-quantity ratio of their pastries. Other than that, this is a lovely bakery to stop by in the area whether you have to eat gluten/vegan or not. Their logo is adorable, shop large with plenty of seating, and their staff friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve tried a few of their muffins/cupcakes and they have all been delicious. They make particularly wonderful icing. I had a pumpkin spice icing the other day that still has me salivating for more now!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This is THE place to get awesome gluten-free & vegan treats on the North Shore. My son & I stop in weekly before heading over to the museum to play for a quick treat– the pastries are always fresh, moist, and soooo good. We love Jodi Bee’s!

Hoping to find a lot more options and specifically, vegan choices. Have stopped by a few times and have come out with nothing which is rather disappointing.

Stopped in this AM for a coffee and… Coffee was excellent and the ‘and’ part of it consisted of a chocolate dipped coconut macaroon and a dark chocolate and sea salt brownie bite. Couldn’t decide between the two, so ordered both. Just so so good. Both of those are gluten free and again… fantastic! Nice selection of savory offerings as well. Great addition to downtown Salem!

Stopped by the tent at the farmers market after seeing the list of desserts as we walked by… so glad we did! Fantastic tasting desserts, great ingredients, friendly service! Love the bee theme as well :) We will most definitely be checking out the store.

Fantastic!!! Owners are SO nice. Go beyond the call of duty with helping carry products. The food is so interesting, and tasty! How can they possibly make a quiche without eggs and dairy, with the flakiest crust ever, and have it be simply delectable tasting. The owner also makes gorgeous, delicious cakes. I have bought a few birthday cakes, and they have all been outstanding. The chocolate is to die for, and the lemon blueberry cake is absolutely scrumptious. Everyone who attends my little birthday parties oohs and aahs over Jodi Bees cakes! She has so much talent! Thanks to Jodi and her husband for running an outstanding business in my new neighborhood! Wishing them the best with their new business! Oh, great coffee too, with almond milk available, which I love. There are pretty tables outside now! I sat at a table once outside so far, it was very pleasant.

I stopped by her storefront in the Essex Street mall with a friend who enjoys the gluten-free things in life. We got quiches and breakfast slabs and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff couldn’t be friendlier. This is a wonderful new alternative to the other breakfast places in town that more of the«greasy spoon» variety. I can’t wait to come back and try all of the cupcakes!

As always Jodi does not disappoint. Her flavors are absolutely delectable and deserve way more than 5 stars. Her quiche is moist, fresh and more scrumptious than any non-vegan quiche around. I can’t even describe in words as to how delicious her cookies are as well. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is simple yet inviting. Whether your taking a stroll on a beautiful Sunday afternoon or craving a sinful snack, Jodi Bee Bakes will fill every craving you have! Go to Jodi’s now! You will thank yourself every time making that decision.

Jodi Bees has awesome gluten free baked goods as well as a great selection of vegan and vegetarian food. The frosting on the gluten free strawberry cupcake was so yummy and I LOVED the gluten free scone! I will definitely return every time I’m in Salem!

Bought Jodi Bees cupcakes and macaroons at Shubies in Marblehead. Both exceptional and raved by vegans and non-vegans alike.

As if Salem couldn’t get any cooler, Jodi Bee NOWHASHEROWNSHOP. Hear-ye! Hear-ye! As of June 2015(such a wonderful month in an incredible year) Jodi Bee is now at 7 Church St. in Salem in a cute shop. My mom, a friend and I went to have some breakfast there today and we were not disappointed! We all chose the gluten free vegan carrot cake. I know, I know what you are thinking. I lost some of you at «gluten free vegan», but trust me. I am «free» of nothing when it comes to food. All delicious food is more than welcome on my plate. I just took a look at the carrot cake and said, «Must have.» I was so right. It was crazy good! The coffee was REALLY good, and you get a free refill. The shop feels welcoming and comfortable, and everyone is so friendly and kind. We felt free to linger over our two coffees for almost an hour. A lovely spot to relax after a day of witch hunting if you are a tourist, but I predict that the locals will flock to Jodi Bee.
