Gosh… I’ve been renting for over 10 years now. And I just ended my 3 year tenancy renting from the Maurmanns. Why one star? Think of the Maurmann’s in this light: Mr. Burns without a heart at all. You see, the Maurmann’s are only in it for themselves. So in regards to them being landlords, this means that they don’t want to repair anything. Even mold. Mold for 2 years. And then they only get around to getting rid of the mold once they decide to put the home that you are renting up for sale without warning. Coincidence, right? «Us fixing the mold has nothing to do with us putting the home for sale.» They even waited a week before they notified us that they were putting it for sale. So what kind of excuses do such landlords as Mr. Burns give to their tenants? «I’m sorry, I’m just going through a very tough time right now. I’m even considering divorcing my husband!» This actually happened. And this«husband» is the other Maurmann! You may ask why we continued to live in a house with mold overtaking the bathroom… but we hate moving and we learned to live with our ever-growing moldy friend. When I finally pushed them to fix the moldy bathroom, they had the audacity to complain about our«bad» lawn maintenance. Like I would give a rip after inhaling mold for 2 years. Also, our washer/dryer room leaked water from the wall for the entire 3 years. That also was never fixed until they wanted to sell the house. The evil landlords knew the plumbing was bad the entire time, but they were too cheap to fix the issue. Yeah. And then on top of everything, they hire a drunken repair guy. When we first moved into the house, he actually came out, left, and 30 minutes came back drunk. Our evil landlord even admitted he’s a drunk. Who hires drunks to enter people’s homes? After we finally decided to escape the landlord’s grasp, of course it took them EXACTLY31 days to refund our deposit. And after they put the house for sale and we gave out notice to vacate, they suddenly changed their minds and decided to offer us a lower rental price to stay, because their financial advisor advised them it wasn’t best to sell the home after all. «We’re not doing good financially» the Maurmann’s told us. Oh, poor them! Boo hoo hoo. We still decided to get the freak out of there. They do everything by the book, when it helps their interest and not their tenants. I would say that the Maurmann’s are evil landlords, but that just doesn’t do them justice. They are beyond evil. Mr. Burns would be a saint landlord compared to them. DONOTRENTFROMTHEM. Got it?
