Great restaurant good food at inexpensive prices. They had the best lamb and chicken combo with rice and salad and their homemade sauce… too bad they closed for good… gonna miss this place!

Hate to kick a place when they’re down(pretty sure they’re now out of business) but I had a bad experience here. Very much wanted a gyro, thought I was ordering a gyro, and instead got a heaping plate of rice, vegetables, and ground lamb, all covered in some kind of goopy ranch dressing that didn’t thrill me. The serving was certainly generous, but it simply wasn’t what I ordered and it wasn’t particularly good. I suppose I could’ve tried again but for all I knew what I had asked for was what he gave me. The menu was difficult to navigate. I walk by all the time and it looks pretty empty, and kinda dirty.

Just went there for the first time and got a chicken gyro combo. It was delicious. Something I could eat every day. And less than $ 8 for the whole thing. And the menu is huge. Highly recommended!

Good food cooked to order at a fair price. I have five kids and a husband to please and we all find things we enjoy here. That is not always possible so I appreciate it! I will up my review to 5 stars as soon as delivery service starts:)

This is my go-to place when I want big portions for cheap. Get the«falafel rice», then load it up with all of the salads and toppings, and you will have yourself a healthy hearty meal for about 7 bucks. They give you 6 big falafel, much more than you get at most places. I’ve also had the lamb/falafel combo and it was delicious. They put some tasty white sauce over the whole dish. Good value, big portions. Good grub. 7⁄10

Fresh, quick, always ready food. This place is amazing, and the menu is fantastic. I love the prices, friendly staff, and I can’t wait for them to start delivery service. Awesome halal plates. The lamb could be better, doesn’t taste like lamb much, but everything else is amazing. Highly recommended!

This place has quickly become my go-to lunch spot in Salem. Huge portions of great food for $ 7! If you don’t know what to order, get the chicken and rice plate. You won’t regret it!

There are two guys that work there — the older one normally cooks, and the younger one is out back most of the time. Not ideal for groups, since only one person is cooking very verrrryyy slowly. I waited an hour and a half for a plate of food because he had a group of 10 people who had ordered before me. The«chef» cuts raw chicken with a pair of scissors, puts it on the grill(on a REALLY low setting, takes 20+ minutes to cook!), lets it cook for a few minutes, then CUTSTHEPARTIALLY-COOKEDCHICKENWITHTHESAMEPAIROFSCISSORS. Talk about lack of food safety!!! I let it slide until one time I got home with my food(Chicken Tikka) and took a bite into the chicken to find that the texture was really strange — looked at the piece I had bitten from, and it was TOTALLYRAW. I took it back and he cooked me another plate and gave me a pastry. Didn’t apologize or refund my money, and I had already lost my appetite. I haven’t gone back since. The guy just doesn’t know how to cook, and should not be serving food with such poor sanitation standards. Also, all of the«American» food on the menu is terrible — don’t waste your money! My boyfriend likes the lamb tikka, and the chicken tikka would be delicious if it wasn’t infested with salmonella or just totally raw.

OK… so I really wanted to like this place… but… Too much of a mash up. I love Greek food… and REALLY love Indian/Pakistani/Nepalese food… but I just can’t wrap my head around this place. Too many flavors at odds with each other. If I was an inebriated 20 year old college student and it was 1:30am, maybe. The owner is VERY nice ! I’ll give it another try, maybe @ 2am.

Pretty good food. I went there around 8PM on Wednesday, there was not a single customer. Wanted to try the chicken biryani but unfortunately it was done for the day. :( Tried the meat combo over rice and the falafel. They were really tasty. The price was good for the portion. Will go again.

Still go there at least once every week, still just as good. I noticed that one of the customers complained that they don’t start your meal when you call ahead, this is not true. I am assuming that in his circumstance they simply forgot the order that time. I’ve called ahead to have my food made before I leave multiple times(currently did so again just now for some lamb chops) and when I arrive it is set aside waiting for me. People shouldn’t write reviews of a business based on a single experience, it’s not fair to the business. Even when I’ve had a horrific experience, I always go one more time just to see if that is standard or not.

My friend ordered Chicken Tikki which was really good. I ended up going to the place next door because I didn’t want to commit to something I may not like but I will be returning and getting my own plate here! My other friend got fried shrimp and fries. The fries were okay, the shrimp was pretty good. Chicken Tikki rice plate was GREAT though. The interior is very… yellow and green. It does have a tv for you while you wait and ample amount of space to eat indoors. Okay drink choices. You can see the food being prepared and everything looks very fresh and clean, and the people who work there are nice. The food takes a little while to make(about 20 minutes) but it tastes way better, and you most likely can’t make a meal as delicious at home with that amount of time.

Food in this place is absolutely fantastic. Its fresh, cooked in a health way and with a mixture of different regional flavors from the Mediterranean to Indian and the prices are unbeatable.

The food is okay and you get a decent quantity for the price, but this place is unbelievably slow. Do not bother calling ahead because they will not make your dish until you arrive. I called ahead for a lamb tikka dish, but rather than have my meal ready when I arrived, they waited until I walked in before they even began to prepare my meal, which then took 30 minutes to complete. This is the antithesis of fast food. If you have only $ 10 and tons of time to kill, then give this place a shot. Otherwise, you are better off not wasting your time. Literally.

Awesome addition to the neighborhood, great food and great prices. The gyros are big, and the lamb is tasty. I also recommend the chicken and lamb tikka. Amazing.

I was super-excited to see that a dedicated gyro joint has opened locally! I usually end up having to get my gyros from one of the many roast beef houses of pizza(the North Shore is weird). I was surprised: I was expecting this place to be more Mediterranean, but it turned out to be a combo gyro/Pakistani food place. This is in no way, shape or form a bad thing. While traditional gyro meat is certainly offered, the chicken that is served in the rice/pitas appears to be chopped tandoori chicken. Samosas(that I intend to try next time), chapli kabob(which is 100% beef) and falafel are also offered, as well as other menu items(tilapia, burgers). I personally had the lamb rice combo; it was cheap, tasty and huge, with ample amounts of meat, tasty rice and a selection of fresh veggies that you select. You can easily get at least 2 meals out of a rice plate combo. I am delighted that this place is located near my workplace, as I’ll be back soon and regularly. BONUS: They’re open until midnight every day, which is a rarity in Salem. BONUS2: Their food is halal, which is relevant to many of the people I hang out with.
