This place needs some updated reviews. It was amazing! It’s just outside of Salem(maybe 10 minutes) and a perfect place for a day of wine drinking and delicious food. We went on a Sunday for brunch and it was excellent! They have turned one of the storage rooms into a great little brunch buffet. There were probably 20 or so big tables and we got seated right away. The staff came over to check on us, bring drinks, clear plates, and to chat and they were really nice and friendly! The food was excellent. It definitely had a home cooked type feel. And there was so so much! There was a huge line of veggies and meats that you could take to the omelet bar(that also did breakfast burritos and pasta). There was homemade waffles, eggs benedict, yogurts, fruits, veggies, juices, coffee, etc. Plus an entire dessert bar full of decadent treats! We were there over 2 hours visiting with family we hadn’t seen in awhile and they didn’t kick us out, kept checking on us, and just letting us hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. After we ate we took a stroll through the gift shop and enjoyed complimentary wine tasting(complimentary because we had paid for brunch). All of the wines were really great and we enjoyed them, and the INCREDIBLE view from the patio. It was a warm day and you could see for miles. It truly is a little gem just outside of Salem and worth the trip!

The only protein available is defrosted pizza bits: sausage pieces and ham bits. The idea is that you can put them in a scramble. You pay for the brunch and then you collect items and take them to a omelette making station and then you are supposed to tip them for making you the only protein available. I didn’t notice the tip jar. My husband told me later and we laughed about the absurdity of it. You pay like 15 – 16? dollars for the brunch and then you have to tip for the only protein available? The only other brunch items are sugary, dry over processed pastries. You go in a side door and walk down a hallway with odd nick knacks for sale to a warehouse with fluorescent lighting, wine boxes stacked all around the perimeter and a bunch of plastic folding card tables with plastic folding chairs and plastic picnic table cloths.

Really bad initial experience. First, the wine tasting lady asked for IDs(I’m 41, g/f is 30). Then, she wouldn’t accept a drivers license from a «foreign country»(Canada). Then called her manager because it seems she wasn’t able to figure out a simple date on an official, government issued document. So we asked the license back and walked away. She couldn’t care less about us. Please do us all a favour a put up a sign that says«U.S. Citizens Only» on your website and winery entrance. Tourists should go taste Oregon wines elsewhere. There are plenty of other wineries in the area that aren’t xenophobic.

This is one of my favorite wineries in the Salem area. I was a wee bit disappointed with their Thanksgiving open house. They had a $ 10 tasting fee which included a souvenir wine glass, wine tasting, and a bowl of soup with bread. I was stoked! Thought it was a fantastic deal until they said the soup has ham and sausage in it. I don’t eat pork or pork products so I was excluded. I asked for he vegetarian option, and they did not have one. I hope they consider making one in the future, since the soup sounded like it had a hardy mix of great vegetables. So then I asked If I could do the wine tasting for $ 5 which it normally is, and waived if you buy wine. Thought that was a deal, but the hostess said that they were only doing wine tasting for $ 10 with the special open house. Thought that was odd and disappointing for sure. Either no wine or you had to pay more. Regardless, I still love their gift shop. They have Hawaiian treats to sample. Try the wasabi chocolates, chocolate mochi, Hawaiian Carmel corn, and chocolate coffee beans. The Hawaiian lotions are great too. Lots of great gifts to buy. I love their Hawaiian whale chocolates, and if you have Sunday brunch with them on your birthday, they will give you a box for free. Their brunch is a wee bit spendy so leave it for a special occasion, but do go… it is really delicious. It even includes waffle, omelette, and pasta bars. In the summer you can have lunch on their patio. It was warm enough this last February that we ate in their enclosed patio and enjoyed a chocolate fondue. I love coming here at least a couple times every year for gift shop shopping, wine tasting, and a bite to eat. One of the fewer wineries that includes a restaurant option while roaming around wine country.

We went for Father’s Day Sunday brunch and it was great. They really have this brunch set up like clockwork and they know what they are doing. The food was delightful and the omelette bar was great. You select the ingredients and they put it together for you with the portable grills they have set up in the corner of the winery. The selections were plentiful and much more than one person could sample in one sitting which is a good excuse to go back again. After brunch we strolled out to the patio and tasted wine and enjoyed the view. The pour were nice and the tastings were complimentary. The only down side to the view and the wine was the off key guitarist/singer they had there. We exchanged glances as he sat his guitar aside and took a phone call with the microphone still on. Eventually, he realized and turned it off. They would do better to have no music at all. All in all an enjoyable get together with family. I woud definitely go back again.

I have been going to Orchard Heights for 7 years and I absolutely love everything about it! Everyone that works here is so friendly and goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. It’s amazing to sit in the warehouse where all of the wine is actually made & stored. The brunch is always so fresh & there are so many options. If you have the chance please stop by & meet the friendly staff, eat the exceptional food, & taste the amazing wine!!!

This place is truly terrible — from the environment, the wine, and the food. Walking inside one sees a really awful crowded, junky trinket shop, like you see at the beach in ticky tacky tourist towns. The so-called dining room is filled with card tables and folding chairs and plastic table cloths. The wine was so horrible we sent it back and stayed with water. The view was to a parking lot, and some cheap looking merchandise. A panini consisted of Oscar Mayer turkey, a piece of cheese on bread, grilled in grease, with the panini style grill marks. Honestly, no pesto, so tomato, no nothing. A glorified grilled cheese without any of the charm. There is no reason to ever go here, for anything.

Okay… so I give this place 4 stars but it has to do more with whole experience than food. We took my mom here recently for brunch. Upon initial arrival we were wondering if we made the drive here for nothing. Upon arriving at the brunch area we initially saw lattice and what appeared to be storage. Almost like we had walked in the wrong doors. However, upon walking a little further we were in a large room in what is I“m sure part of the warehouse. They had the area decorated nicely and had several table placed around the room. I’m sure during harvest the room we were in is in full swing but for brunch it was perfect. The food isn’t bad… they have an omelet bar where you place your desire ingredients in to a bowl and then had it to the chef and they make your omelet. The also had fresh waffles with a great berry topping and whip cream! Biscuits and Gravy 2 assortments of soup Fruit Juices and a few other things. Take note that this isn’t a gourmet meal… however, it’s a great setting for a casual brunch with a great price point! $ 14.95 for the brunch and $ 5 mimosas.

First of all, I love the location. It’s hidden away in the hills with a beautiful view. We even saw two deer grazing by the road to the winery, and it was already nearly noon. We had their Sunday brunch buffet, which was fantastic. They have fresh waffles, eggs Benedict, soup, and salad, among other things. But the best part is that they have omelette and pasta stations where the food is made-to-order. I didn’t try the omelettes, but the pasta was probably some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the alfredo sauce with cheese and wine added. The staff was very nice, although I found it a little strange that they explained to us how the buffet works. I guess they get a lot of customers that have never eaten buffet-style before.

Save your gas … don’t go! During a recent wine tour we stopped in Orchard Heights. A local had said it was beautiful and he was right. Unfortunately that was the only thing it had going for it. The wine and the service were equally horrible. What a disappointment.

We all knew as we walked in that this place was more of a overpriced trinket shop. It was just odd… We were greeted(if you can call it that) and asked«You wanna taste something?»(By a lady with an enormous amount of makeup and mascara on) After replying«Yes.» she tossed a tasting sheet at us and asked what we wanted to try. My husband asked what was her favorite here and her response was«I don’t like red wine, so one of the whites,» REALLY??? My thought was…“Oh, so you like it out of a box?“ Where was the suggestion of starting with the whites and moving down the reds? So we picked a few to try, and were not impressed. It tasted as if the wines were old and had been opened for quite some time. Needless to say, we saved a lot of money here! Bad customer service and old wine ruined the experience of such a beautifully landscaped winery.
