I was only there for 1 week and I already know how to sail a boat alone. The instructors are really professional and nice :-) To take a swim test for the kids introduction class you can go to the YMCA in Salem(it’s free), and you need to print out the forms on the Sail Salem website. Adults do not need the swim test. I recommend this place as a summer camp, which you can also sign up for.

Wonderful! Great program! The kids had a blast. They learned how to rig a boat the first day. They were out sailing on their own by the third day! I took the adult program and learned so much. Parts of the boat, and how to sail all in four days. I am looking forward to the advanced course! Thanks to all!

What an incredible program! There are few places out there that invite people to participate in a sport that would otherwise cost a fortune. Plus, the confidence a child can gain from learning how to sail is priceless.

Laura B. may be the greatest thing to happen to sailing since the invention of the sail itself. She knows what she is doing, and you’d be damn lucky to have her on your boat.
