Always great service and the menu has some yummy food! The salads are hugs and fresh. Such an improvement than in the past with the new owners.

Absolutely LOVE so many things on their menu. Perfect mixed drinks, not super strong but not so blah that you can’t taste the alcohol. Everyone in there(people working and customers) are always super friendly and fun. The turkey jalapeño melt is probably my absolute favorite with some tater tots. Food is always fresh and eats out to you quickly.

With this amazing weather Stone Front has a great outdoor patio. Thought Commercial St. would be too noisy but was pleasantly surprised ! Had great service and food was tasty. Arrived after a ballgame & just wanted to split a burger and they were very obliging.

The new décor is better! It does not seem like a dive bar as it used to! The food was amazing and super inexpensive! Local beer and wine on tap! The truck stop burger is amazing!!! Took two people to finish it off! Real meat burger!!! No frozen hockey pucks here! For real burger! Best burger ever eaten per my spouse! Definitely gonna try it again!

Great place in south Salem. Understated, lots of tv’s, pool table and lottery. Good food from such a tiny kitchen. Solid cocktails and the service is great. Friendly and fast. Prime rib on Fri & Sat night is fantastic. A great local place! Get here!

Drove all the way across town from Keizer to give the burgers a try. With great reviews had high expectations. I really like the modifications they have added onto the building. Loved the Christmas décor! Beer is a great price! $ 3.25 for a pint of Lagunitas IPA. I ordered the black and bleu Angus burger with their creamy potato soup. Soft and fluffy sesame seed bun… 2⁄3 lb Angus patty, apparently… Blue cheese crumbles. The beef patty was terrible! :-(you could detect it’s frozen-ness immediately. Also what totally ruined this one was the spice mix on top of the bleu cheese crumbles. Thyme and seasoning salt? It was so wrong! I’m really sorry Stone Front — I’ll return for beers and fries maybe next time. I was wishing for a delicious, juicy burger that was out of this world. : — /service was really pretty good. One better than the other — but that’s life!

Nice local bar. I was apprehensive about the change, but so far I’m liking what I see. Sure has changed the past 30+ years I’ve been coming here.

Love love love the stonefront! The new clam chowder is amazing and service is awesome! Was sad to see the old staff go but love the changes being made! Burgers aren’t the worlds best but the service makes it great!

The Stonefront is back — or at least well on its way after years of a dark period. The new owners remember how it used to be and are striving to bring it back with great burgers and service. The burgers are great right now and require 4 napkins like they used to. The interior has been repainted and cleaned up, and future plans include windows(!). Its nice to have a good place for a sandwich and drink in the south end again!

Best prime rib in Salem. Went a couple of weeks ago with a friend and my gosh it was so good. The cut was huge and it was a perfect medium. Drool. The server was super sweet and attentive and that combo keeps me going back when I need a meat fix.

We used to love Stone Front! Super cheap, and their burgers are delicious(which is still true despite this review). Tonight however, they only had one server on, and they were pretty busy. Our food was completely mediocre. We got an app sampler, which was obviously all frozen stuff… the fried mushrooms are disgusting, couldn’t eat them at all. I got a large dinner salad with chicken added. There was half a breast of chicken, and the salad cost $ 10. The wrong dressing was put on it, but it took 30 minutes just to get the food, and the server never came back to check on us anyway, so there wasn’t an opportunity to say anything. Mostly it was frustrating, and we won’t return unless the parking lot is empty.

I love Stonefront. The only issue is that its so far out south! They always have a really good selection of beer on tap. One of my favorite things to order is the Chicken Malibu Sandwhich. It’s loaded with your typical bar décor with neon lights and beer posters, poker machines and pool tables. Its always been clean and the crowd isn’t too rowdy, which is nice. I love sitting at the bar when the owner is there. Super friendly.

When we first arrived at 11:15am they were not open. So we called and they said they open at noon. So we ran a few errands and came back at noon to find the doors still locked. We finally called again at 12:10 and they said it would be another 15 mins. Around 12:20 a car pulled up with a couple of ladies in it who proceeded to enter the building and then opened the doors for several customers and us who were waiting in the parking lot. We first walked in and the tables where shoved all over to the side and the place was in disarray. Apparently we were told they were having a concert that night which they normally don’t do. We found a spot to sit and looked over the menus. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with a double patty with fries and a Diet Coke. The burger came out and looked great. The bun was nicely toasted and the bacon was crisp and tasty. The patties I think we’re just frozen patties but was cooked just right. The fries looked a lot like McDonald’s type of thin fries. They were definitely frozen. They tasted fine but since they were so thin and so many of them they got cold quickly. Next time I think I will try the tater tots or onion rings. The waitress/bartender was extremely nice and comped us our drinks because they opened late and we had to wait. Overall I would give it another try sometime. The prices were quite reasonable with most all items under $ 8 and the sodas were cheap at $ 1.50.

I just had a wonderful Rib Eye, rare with a local dark IPA and the fries weren’t bad at all. I read the reviews, narrowed to three and started at the farthest place. I was put off when I first walked in, the place was sterile, bright lights and a lot of blue hairs hanging at the tables. The placed seemed too clean and lit too well. I almost walked but I thought a look at the menu was warranted, it made me stay, your choice of New York or Rib Eye. I took to the Rib Eye, Rare. Needless to say I could write you into the place, but if you live in Salem you already know of this place. If you don’t know about it, it isn’t for you. The food was great the bar better and the group wonderful. If you find yourself in Salem, make an effort of find this place. Enjoy!

If you haven’t tried a burger from the Stone Front, do yourself a favor and scoot your money-maker out to South Salem and give one a try. If you’re looking for black tie, keep on driving, but if you want a good old fashioned diner meal and friendly staff, the Stone Front fits the bill amicably!

Great little sports bar to hang out at and shoot some pool while having some good eats and drinks. I ordered this grape daquari thing and MAN was it delicious! I had 3 more, PLUS hub and I ordered nachos, fries, and 2 burger plates and our bill came out to only $ 25! The service was excellent; everyone working there were very freindly and attentive. They have lottery machines on one side of the wall; pool table on other. It’s not a huge place like Half Penny but hey it’s cozy and does the job well. I will definitely return!

I’m not much of a bar person, but I really like this place. It is a bar, so don’t expect super elegant fare — but do expect really good food at a good price and friendly service. My wife and I got chicken nachos(they use Doritos) and a cheeseburger to share and I got some sweet potato fries(served with melted butter mixed with brown sugar). All was good. We were really there to hang out with friends and shoot some pool and, based on the looks from the outside, didn’t expect much. Turned out to be a great place!

The seating I do not care for; The noise level a bit high and the food was not good. Had a chicken sandwich and received one with a TON of mayo and lettuce on it. There was so much mayo on it the chicken slid right out. Very messy to boot. Save your $$ and try somewhere else. Service took a while but they appeared to be short handed.

The burgers and sandwiches here are awesome. They have a good selection of beers, and the service has always been stellar for me. Prices are way cheaper than most anywhere in Portland. I try to work in a visit here everytime I’m in Salem.
