Amazing fudge(especially the chocolate walnut) and caramels. Probably the best fudge I have had in this area. Inexpensive. And they ship.

We stopped by Turtle Alley after visiting the Peabody Essex Museum and having lunch at nearby Life Alive. Our group tried the dark chocolate almond ginger turtle, the dark chocolate aloha turtle(macadamia nuts), the milk chocolate pecan turtle, and two milk chocolate peanut butter cups. Everyone loved their chocolate treats and it was a perfect sweet touch to a nice day. The shop is very cute; love the purple doors and polka dot designs. The salesperson was very friendly and knowledgeable, and there were a wide variety of chocolates and other candy treats available for purchase. Stop by if you’re in the area!

Absolutely wonderful chocolate shop. Stopped in on a recent trip to Salem and was greeted warmly, and all questions were answered kindly. The chocolate was delicious and well priced! All three of us ordered different things, but among the favorites were the turtles(try the bacon one!) and the caramel chews!

I was pleasantly surprised by the turtle I had here. I had a dark chocolate macadamia nut turtle. Based on previous experience from other locations I was expecting it to be hard and very chewy. Not so! I was soft and not chewy like a stick of gum. All the parts of it were in appropriate proportions, and the tiny amount of sea salt on the base was a wonderful touch. Prices are very reasonable, I look forward to returning and trying other turtles!

I was lucky enough to get some of these delicious treats for my birthday. So yummy. Loved each one but I have to say the dark chocolate with bacon holds a special place in my heart. Can’t wait to try them all.

I love the Gloucester Turtle Alley, and of course this one is just as good! Plus, they get HUGE thumbs up from me for having given my 3-year-old a free nonpareil yesterday when I came in, ordered, got my bag of candies, and realized I’d forgotten my wallet at home. I was mortified and expecting my kid to start crying(he’d been so excited for his chocolate), but the woman behind the counter’s generosity saved the day. I was already a huge fan but now I’m REALLY impressed. Thank you!
