Virgil T Golden Funeral Service & Oakleaf Crematory

When faced with loosing a loved one, it’s a hard chore picking a funeral service. We visited 3 of them months prior to the death, and Virgil T was by far the best in terms of environment and price paid. And in the end, we were SOOOOO happy to have chosen Virgil. The viewing and graveside service went off without a hitch, and Tom Golden oversaw everything professionally and personally.

No one ever wants to experience a death in their family. Let alone being an only child who has never undertook the task of taking care of final arrangements for a parent.
To say I was clueless, numb to shock, and a walking zombie when I arrived last week to take care of my Dad’s final plans would be an understatement.
The staff at Goldens helped me navigate all the things I needed to do, answered questions on the phone, and held me hand along the way. I know it’s a business and I know they have things to sell. I didn’t feel judged when I told them I didn’t have a lot of money and couldn’t afford a big urn. All I felt was compassion and empathy for what was going on. They were professional and ethical through and through.
I really can’t express my gratitude and appreciation enough for this place. They truly made things easier when it was a tough situation to begin with.
