What a nice pharmacy! While visiting my son from Florida refilled some prescriptions and after picking them up realized I was missing one. When I called due, to the New Years holiday and our travel plans, Tiffany was so super nice and helpful to transfer it to their Beverly store. Really went the extra step and very much appreciated it!

This pharmacy didn’t give me all my script. The said the double counted & that should be a circle around the quantity, but there wasn’t. And because it is a controlled substance wouldn’t refill it when I ran out. I suggest that you count every pill before you pay for the script.

There are no words to convey just how much I hate this Walgreens. It’s achieved a level of customer non-service that I’ve never experienced elsewhere. And I really tried. It’s extremely convenient to where I live, so I took time writing to Walgreens corporate and then speaking to one of the store managers. They were very professional and receptive to the input but nothing changed. Since then, I go well out of my way to go anyplace other than here. BTW, I’m extremely uncomfortable with some reviewers use of terms like«ghetto» in their descriptions. But it’s irrelevant in that this store ASPIRES to «sketchy customers» being the biggest issue. Fill the place with naked super models riding unicorns and it’s still a horrible place to shop.

First off, I will verify what a couple of the other reviews say about the parking lot. It’s small, arranged poorly, and other drivers always use it to cut between the streets at each end. It’s a nightmare, and I never park in the lot if I don’t have to. As far as other people’s claims about the cops being here constantly, well, my experience with this store differs. Maybe I just have good timing. Maybe the other reviewers have bad timing. I don’t know, but in several years of coming here for one thing or another a couple of times a week, I have personally only seen the police in here once. As far as the«scary people» and panhandlers are concerned, there’s an MBTA bus stop right outside the store, and a homeless shelter within a 5-minute walk. You do the math and decide whether or not you think that’s «scary». I don’t. Overall, the store is fairly clean and organized. I generally only have trouble finding what I’m looking for if they’ve recently moved things around. Admittedly, the staff doesn’t always bother me with a greeting, but I’ve never experienced a flat-out rude employee here, either. I have to say, Melissa M.‘s review is absolutely nothing like my typical experience at this store. I’d say that maybe it’s the difference 5 years can make, but I was coming here regularly back then, too, and don’t remember the store being anything like the way she describes it. And as far as Jenna M.‘s review is concerned, the only times it has ever taken longer than a couple of minutes to pay for something, in my experience, it was because one of the customers in line ahead of me was arguing over the price of something, or trying to use a coupon on something other than what the coupon was for, or some other such nonsense, and the cashier invariably called another employee over to help with the line in the meantime. I certainly can’t blame the store for that.

This Walgreen’s is supposedly in the hood. But its really a fine joint. I went to Starbucks to get a coffee, it was closed, and a light bulb went off in my dome, they sell Starbucks cans next door at walgreens. I felt completely safe the whole time, unlike the other reviewers. But its a walgreens, so it can’t be «as good as it gets». There’s some people kickin’ it outside. I had shorts on, with a pile of change in my pocket. I was dying for someone to ask for it, just to get rid of it. Nobody did. I was stuck with it. I even tried putting it in the parking meters, both to rape the city of Salem of parking tickets, and to empty my pockets. But since it was night time, the parking was«on the house» anyway. So, in conclusion, this Walgreens was fine. I’m not in the area often, but if I were, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

down the street from the bodega cvs is the bodega walgreens, with the holy-shitballs-just-let-me-get-out-alive parking lot and the… colorful bus stop. p. s. i’m not hating on the bus! the people who work here are nice, and they were especially kind the time the danvers state escapee wrapped a new pink scarf from the sale display around her neck at christmastime and nonchalantly peaced out. twas the season of giving, and she decided to treat herself with a li’l theft. those damn attentive employees and their wily ways! i can walk in and find something i need 8 times out of 10. i am a spoiled, rich jackhole who appreciates the finer things in life, like large drug stores.

Ok it is a Walgreens and you can buy things you need here, that’s how I’ll start my review. As I have said they sell the must haves like every Walgreens does, good luck with the panhandlers outside. Hide your purse and your kids. Once inside don’t spend too much time in any given isle alone, hang with the cops that are always in the store. Good Luck with that deodorant purchase!

It takes an hour to pay for one thing, scary people hang around the doors and it seems that every other day the police are there. It’s dirty and gives the feeling of needing a tetnus shop upon entering and leaving! Melissa M, you are so right in your description!

Ghettogreens is more like it. This is the WORST convenience store/pharmacy ever. The store is always crawling with creepy people and/or police supervising them. The store is completely filthy, the merchandise looks like it’s been sitting on the shelf for decades, and the service is either way too«busy» to be bothered with common courtesies(such as a greeting, or stating how much your purchase total is, etc.) or completely unhelpful(especially in the pharmacy). The pharmacy could have one customer or ten customers and the wait time is always unusually and ridiculiously long. It feels like they are having a computer malfunction everytime you go to pick something up because there is always a series of questions and sometimes you even have to answer them a few times before they get taken down properly and you get what you came for. If you have a choice, drive a little further to the CVS on Essex and Highland! PS, the parking lot is always equally as nightmarish as the store!
