I really enjoyed my visit here at this store. I don’t usually write reviews but these guys deserve 5 stars for service and friendliness. I was greeted right away with a smile and then when I needed help they were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I will be back for sure.

This West Salem store is great — well stocked; helpful, knowledgeable, friendly employees; and free delivery in West Salem. I just bought 42 bags of Scotts NatureScape bark mulch and it looks great. I shopped Lowe’s and Home Depot and they were $.50 per bag cheaper, but wanted $ 75 to deliver. I am now a fan of Ace Hardware. Also, just bought my driveway sealer at this store — top name brand, and the same price as Lowe’s and Home Depot. I will be buying at Ace Hardware from now on!

I had a not-​so-​fantastic experience a few weeks ago with the paint department at this location, and wrote a review about it. The owner promptly contacted me and told me that she is taking steps to rectify the situation, and apologized for the experience. She also gave me an store credit to make sure I come back and give them another chance.
People make mistakes, and I get that. Owning up to it and making the situation right goes a long way with me. I was still planning on going back anyway, but I really appreciated that elevated level of customer service. I know that I would NEVER get that kind of service from a big-​box home improvement store.
I know where I will be heading for my next project!

Always come here for the forgotten odds and ends for around the house. I like to look through the ACE adds at home when we get them for those special buys as well.

I love this little hardware store. Local owners, very helpful, great service, and great deals often. Sure it isn’t a Home Depot but that’s okay as I would not want one over in this area. Frankly, when I need random things for around the house or a quick repair, I go here first. West Salem is lucky to have a good little hardware store like this.
Staff has been helpful with returns, suggestions for garden items, and just downright friendly. I have purchased paint, a lawnmower, plumbing supplies, snow saucers, and lots of gardening items here and I will be back again.

Great staff, great service, good prices. Everyone that works there has always been extremely helpful. Thanks guys. I will add that they carry the best carpet cleaners there to rent. I am so tired of the crappy rug doctor cleaners that everyone else rents. They carry a carpet express machine that is way way better and cheaper too!
