I went by today and they were closed in the middle of a beautiful Saturday afternoon. There was no note or any sign with their hours. I mean the least you could do is post your hours and/or leave a note on the door if you had to close I was looking forward to trying one of the falafel sandwiches. Oh well, I will not be back that way for awhile

Charged me $ 9 for a lb. of butter on Thanksgiving. Likely the guy behind the counter put it in his pocket, and not the cash register. My opinion is they are criminals that need showers.

So disappointed they closed the restaurant part of the store. Went in today to get some homemade hummus and saw the empty restaurant part. The clerk had no idea why they closed and said a Dunkin donuts was going in instead. Soooo sad! This place was a real gem.

Under new ownership who promptly closed the kitchen. No more Middle Eastern food here.

I was sad today to learn that White Dove has closed their kitchen. Apparently they may be bringing Dunkin Donuts. Sad that such a staple of the community will be be forever changed.

Actually 4 ½ stars. Place is clean and loaded with everything you need from little odds and ends to cooked food to order. Not only do they have great pizzas but their Eastern food is superb. Folks very friendly also. A gem.

This place is an absolute gem. They make amazing food at good prices and they really take care of their customers. The cashier, Fabio, is an absolute saint. Buffalo man is also somewhat of a god. I go to the white dove pretty much every day just to see them.

This little shop brings back memories, I can remember staying at the dorms in Salem State during the summer and head over to White Dove for a quick lunch. It’s just a hole in the wall, nothing special. Perfect for college students looking to grab a decent meal. The felafel is one of the best I’ve ever had, it’s very authentic, and super delish. That was my go to meal nine out of ten times. I’ll admit I may be a bit biased just because I used to go often during my college days. But I’ll tell you, every time I go visit, it’s still taste the same exact way. Just perfect. They have a pretty decent menu overall, the pizza and breakfast sandwiches are also very good.

Got a fabulous falafal sandwich, better than any I have ever had and huge! The grape leaves are yummy! This looks like a convenience store, but is so much more! Try it! You will rave, too.

great food huge servings. I am not giving it 5 stars because the language barrier makes it difficutl to place an order over the phone. But the food is well worth it.

Be careful of what you order with the non english speaking lady, and the cook over the phone, i ordered a chicken cutlet with swiss cheese on three occassions and i was given chicken parm with swiss cheese on all three occasions, so when i spoke with the person that speaks english his answer was there is alot of noise in the background and alot of orders being taken so yes he apologized and offered to make another sandwhich but im a nurse and a very busy one so i just left it as next time ill fax the order but then i will have to worry if they read english, or just try another place. good luck.

I’ve been obsessed with their pizza for years. Who knew it would be the best around?! It’s a great little convenience store if you’re living on campus and even better that they’re open late! HOWEVER, every time I’ve been in there it seems like they’re renovating AGAIN. It’s always a mess… dusty, soda crates stacked in the back of the room, and the candy isle is always CHAOS. My biggest issue with this place is the employees. The man who is usually making the food is great. He’s got a thick accent, but loves to talk and is very jolly. The older white guy who often works the register is also good to deal with. I always see him working hard. The rest of them… awful. There have been times that I’ve seen the young white guy working and was about to go in, but walked right by not in the mood to deal with him. He is constantly dropping F bombs that can be heard all over the store; his language is fowl. He rings you out while carrying on wildly inappropriate conversations with his«bros» who are constantly visiting him. Whenever I approach the register I have to ask if he’s ready for me. And when he’s not talking to his friends, he’s just plain old rude and dismissive… unless you’re a younger girl that looks/presents herself in a ‘certain way’ in which case he puts on his biggest smile and chats them up while a line builds. He’s the worst. The rest are just cold and dismissive.

Oh this is a convenience store? I never notice because i walk right past all that nonsense and go straight for what’s good. Now this is a place I can respect because the falafel is authentic. FINALLY. how many«Middle Eastern places» advertise how fantastic their food is and you go and it doesn’t remind you of your family, or isn’t what you were expecting, or just isn’t good at all. The falafel I can stand behind, the Shawarma. meh it isn’t the worst I’ve tried but still I cant find it made right anywhere. I hear their pizza is pretty good as well. Basically looking in it’s your average looking store that sells all kinds of junk, but what you dont expect is the food quality, have a visit(have a falafel) and you be the judge lol.

I had the Chicken Kebab Sandwich, which is really a Syrian bread wrap. It was very fresh and tasted authentic. The owner, who was also the cook when I visited, didn’t speak a great deal of English, but enough to take my order. My only complaint is this place just looks dirty and off-putting on the inside and out. But, if you can ignore the aesthetics, the middle eastern food is great!

I have a lot of conflict about writing a review for White Dove. On one hand, they’re very convenient and the sandwiches are great. On the other hand, I’ve had several experiences where they’ve gotten my order wrong and I LITERALLY had to go back there and return the sandwich. Although I like the food and it’s very close to where I live, I am hesitant to go there again. The last time I went there was a few weeks ago. It was late, like around 10:30 pm. I ordered a meatball sub from the lady behind the counter. I waited for what seemed an inordinate amount of time for a place that was empty(like around 10 – 15 minutes), and then the man behind the counter asked me if I was having the pulled pork sandwich he held in his hand. When I said I didn’t order that and don’t eat that, he gave me a look like I had 10 heads. When I told him I ordered the meatball sub, he seemed confused then went to the back area, not telling me what his plan was to resolve my need for a sandwich(that I had already paid for). Well, a few minutes later they came back and told me the woman who’d taken my order didn’t understand English. And, I was like, «you’re kidding me, right?» I didn’t understand why on earth someone would take an order if they didn’t understand what the person was asking for. So, I was pretty upset(and hungry on top of it). So the guy, begrudgingly, went and made the sandwich which took another few minutes. There was no apology or offer to pay for the sandwich to make up for the mix up. It gotta say that that experience was some of the worst customer service I’ve received. And, at the same time, the sandwich was good. Ugh! Anyway, if you don’t mind terrible customer service and the possibility that your order could be wrong, then go there. The food is truly top notch. Just the getting to it can be tricky.

Thank you, Tony Stark, for turning me on to the Shawarma, otherwise I never would have stopped in here. — Juggernaut’s hunger has been Avenged

The falafel is the best. I’ve never had good, authentic falafel outside of an ethnic restaurant or household other than here. Brilliant gem hidden inside a convenience store. And, when I went to Salem State, they took the clippercard.

don’t let the exterior deceive you. This place is a true diamond in the rough. The falafel is amazing. Incredibly well cooked, well seasoned. The wraps are delightful. The tahini sauce is just bitter enough. You must try the dolmas(stuffed grape leaves). They are outstanding! This place will definitely be a staple for my family esp during the Friday’s in Lent!

I love falafal… and I mean I REALLY love falafal. I had heard great thing via Unilocal about this place so i decided to try it out… and… my search for north shore falafal continues. Much to floury pita wrap, light on lettuce and tomato… a good wrap should be nice and fat and tight… this was much too thin… 3 small falafal balls… just so sad. Added distraction was the kid at the register dropping the F bomb every other word…
