Went here when it opened, after having a pizza I felt like I ate an anvil. Not impressed at all.

This place is out of business. It was good while it lasted, but then they added a bar, and the place started to go downhill soon after that.

I had wondered about this place ever since it took the place of the short-lived Hooters. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we decided to give it a try tonight. I was pleasantly surprised. Cheese fries: The Philadelphian in me(cheese wiz!) was surprised at the mozzarella, but it made sense in retrospect, considering they are a pizza place. They were cheesy and overall, pretty yummy. Could have been a bit crispier, perhaps. Buffalo wings: Juicy and the right amount of sauce, just the way I like them. Pizza: We had the Jose Fig’s, a southwestern style pizza, with avocado, bacon, red onions, and tomatoes, in addition to the mozzarella and pizza sauce. It was garnished with lime wedges. I think it could have used some more avocado, and I’m not sure that I liked the pizza sauce with those toppings. Still, it was fairly tasty, and well-prepared, and I would definitely try more of their pizzas, just perhaps not that one again. Half of the space is dedicated to the sports bar, and the other half has the dining section and two TVs with Wiis. Typical noisy sports bar atmosphere, but it wasn’t overly loud, and there were several families with children. My biggest complaint was that it is pretty drafty and chilly in this weather, especially next to the door. The waitress was friendly and mainly attentive, as was the rest of the staff. Little on the menu is good for you, but it all sounds good. I’ll definitely visit again… Maybe when the weather is warmer?

While not enough of an improvement to merit an additional star, the updated interior look has certainly improved the atmosphere! It appears that the references from the old Hooters stock have all been officially removed. And whoever decided to switch the satellite station from 80s pop trash and/or 2000s pop trash to something more palatable, I appreciate it.

I love their sandwiches – the homemade wraps are the best! My best friend and I got here often and usually we both leave with half a sandwich. Also, their breadsticks(filled with cheese) are amazing… pretty similar to the pizza, so definitely order these if you’re sticking with sandwiches/salads! Haven’t really had pizza from here – I love the wraps too much! Note: the food can come up pretty slow sometimes, but that just means they’re making it from scratch right?(just kidding, but maybe)

First time here with wife and son. My son loved this place because they have 2 Wii systems for people to play. Lots of Plasma TVs to watch sports for the adults. Had the pizza and Big Papi sandwich. Pizza is very good with a nice mild sauce. Big Papi sandwich was pretty good but not as hot as I liked. You get to choose 3 different meats and I chose steak tips, chicken tips and italaian sausage. Bread is a sesame braided roll which was very good. Saw alot of people order the wrap sandwiches which look awesome too. I would definitely go back. We were seated at the table next to the bathroom. Need to do something with the insulation as the draft near that section of the restaurant made for a very chilly lunch.

Drafts are $ 1 on Thursday nights. The salem high girls and semi crack heads who serve here can’t name what they have on tap but there’s delish magic hat, harpoon and blue moon in addition to bud coors and other grossies. The worst thing about this place? It closes at 10 pm on Thursday-Saturday. Um, excuse me, don’t you have a BAR? I just don’t understand that. If you keep drinking they’ll kind of let you hang out longer, but by 10:20 we were feeling a little awkward and peaced out. The food here is wicked… cheesy. Actually it’s really good. Not good for you, but DUH, it’s a pizza etc place, what would you expect? There are a ton of choices though. Also, Wii and a bunch of flat screens are around and I’ll be back to show off my ridiculous rock band guitar skills. Oh AND there’s a table shaped like New Hampshire. It’s sweet.

Certainly the latter, somewhat the former. Their Butcher Boy sandwich — a large sub roll piled high with steak tips, pepperoni, salami, and cheese, with about six strips of bacon thrown on top for good measure — is the most thoroughly irresponsible thing I’ve ever eaten. My cardiologist agrees(I passed my post-meal echocardiogram, but just barely). I persevered and triumphed though — perhaps if they’d thrown in the whole pig I would’ve cried Uncle. Next time, next time. Sadly, the Lady Friend conceded defeat to her sandwich, a deceptively manageable looking chicken parm/prosciutto sub. She does not generally succumb so easily. Point goes to Wicked Cheesy. We washed all this down with a huge pile of cheese and pepperoni filled bread sticks and a gallon of soda. I’m not sure how we made it out alive. Responsible eating has no place in New Hampshire. Carry on, Wicked Cheesy, in all your wickedly cheesy ways! No two ways about it, you mean business — if your business is voluntarily induced cardiac arrest.

Just to start off with, I don’t know to call this place a Restaurant or a Pub. Because of the assigned seating, it’s restauranty, but they have a lot of them being bar stools and bar tables, so I almost want to stand up and ask the bartender for a beer. My first bit of advice would be to try and make the feel more cohesive one way or another. It’s just confusing. Service– I’ve never had service that was TOO good. Until now. This was probably due to the fact that we were(literally) the only people in the restaurant. But they didn’t try to hurry us along so they could close early, they all stayed there and were very attentive to our needs. Food came out soon enough as well, considering it was their first month or so of business. On the other hand, they were a bit too chatty for that night. I was trying to talk with my friends and they were trying to get into the conversation. Don’t get me wrong, I love socializing with my servers. Sit down, chill for a bit if you’re not busy. But man, don’t interrupt me mid sentence when I’m talking with my friends. I mean, how do I react? If it was my buddy, I can tell them to piss off and they won’t mind. We’re not close enough for me to tell you to piss off, but it’d be rude of ME to ignore you and keep talking. Gah. Food– Surprisingly good. This IS a pizza joint at the end of the day, so it’s good for a pizza joint. The hotdog pizza was delicious, and the meat lover calzone WAS big for the price I paid. And I got the SMALL. Very good all around. Friends said that their spicy fries weren’t spicy at all, but still tasty at least. Drinks– A moderately decent selection of beer. Nothing TOO out there like at Deep Ellum or Sunset; but enough to keep me happy considering it was Rt. 28. Can’t remember the beers I tried though. Also, the person tending the bar needs a bit more experience with his beers. I’ll chalk that up to newness though and not mark them down. Final Decision– 3.75÷5 They’ve got great food and great service, but they’re PAINFULLY new. Maybe it’s new employees or maybe they just operate differently from where the first location for this restaurant was(This is their second location, per an employee. We had a nice little chat after dinner.) Thoughts for improvement– In case you guys working there read Unilocal: 1.) Moderate the table visits. Keep up the energy though, you guys were great and made me feel welcome! But try to hold back a little, otherwise you become overbearing. In relationship terms, you’re clingy. 2.) Different game? While Wiisports is fun and a great novel idea, you may get more bang for your buck with Guitar Hero. The college crowd you’re trying to appease to with cheap bud light nights will appreciate that more. Rock Band may be a bit too cumbersome though. 3.) Know your beers. Know what you have on tap. Know what you’ve run out of. And above all, know to bring out the beer your customer asks for. Again those, most of those will come with experience. Good and enjoyable job overall. ^_^_b

UPDATE: This Wicked Cheesy location CLOSED and the Beggar Man took over, which is now CLOSED. The Wicked Cheesy location in Tewksbury is still open for business with the Wii Gamecenter. The owners are looking in this area for a smaller location. ORIGINALREVIEW: Wicked Cheesy opened its second location in the former Hooters. I know what you’re thinking, are the servers here dressed like Hooters girls? The«undelightfully tacky» answer is NOPE! Sorry kiddies! The servers wear regular black shirts and pants. But, the place has several similarities to the former Hooters. Not many modifications done to the place. The dining area still looks like Hooters with wood walls, wood floors, plenty of TVs, and lots of stool seating & tables to the left and some regular table seating and booths on the right side, a roll of paper towels and menus are at each table. The walls are decorated with framed Red Sox themed pictures. A new pizza oven sits in the kitchen. They offer some«wicked good» New England themed pizzas such as Too Riskay for DiceK(buffalo chicken, bleu cheese, peppers & onions), Where’s Whitey?(white pizza with mozzarella, provolone, feta, romano, ricotta, & fresh garlic), Beantown(Fenway franks, Boston baked beans with honey BBQ sauce), White Mountain(grilled chicken, broccoli, penne, ricotta, & garlic), and more. The menu also offers traditional pizza, subs, wraps, salads, calzones, tips, pasta dinners, kids meals, desserts(cookies, brownies, ice cream, slushes), Coke fountain drinks, and beer. The sandwiches and wraps are ala carte, so fries are extra. See the menu at
A full wait staff is on hand in the dining room from 5PM to closing. However, you can still order at the front counter(former Hooters souvenir counter) and enjoy the meal in the dining room. There are plenty of paper menus and there are overhead menu boards are over the kitchen area. After shopping, I had a quick dinner here last night. I ordered the Chicken«Pahhm» with Pasta(I chose ravioli) served with a garden salad. The salad had fresh crunchy lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, green peppers(big pieces of greens) with a side of dressing. I needed to cut up the large greens and tough tomato wedges. The Chicken«Pahhm» had 8 cheese raviolis, thinly breaded chicken cutlets, tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese. The tomato sauce could’ve been thicker and heartier. They used the thin pizza sauce with a slight salty taste. This dish was okay, and I’d order something different hoping for a «wicked» good meal next visit. The service here was attentive with the server checking up on my table. HOURS: Sun-Wed: 11AM-10PM; Thurs-Sat: 11AM-12AM DELIVERY: 11AM to 5PM on weekdays DRINKSPECIALS: $ 2.50 Drafts during all Red Sox games.
