We have ordered several times since and been very happy with the quality of the food and the delivery times have been reasonable. We even ordered on New’s Eve and had food delivered in a timely fashion. No more stories about the«new girl» and food already on it’s way when it wasn’t even prepared. Our favorite from here is their Crab Rangoon. This traditional take-out dish from Chinese style restaurants is easy to do right, but often done poorly. They do it right! Their egg rolls are better than most and I recommend the General Tso and Kung Pao chicken. Yang Ming is now our Chinese take-out of choice when we are at her house in Methuen. If you are in Salem NH or the North side of Methuen Ma I recommend it. I am upgrading my rating to five stars.(Also, please tips the delivery drivers well from this place. They are friendly and quick. It is clear that past delivery issues where not with the drivers. But with production in the restaurant.)

This place is AMAZING! The food(especially the sushi) was fresh and delicious & there was little waiting time between dishes. The scallion pancakes & crab ragoons were crispy, the General Gaus chicken had the perfect amount of spice and the tuna in the Tuna Rolls practically melted in your mouth. My boyfriend & I ordered our usual Chinese favorites and the portions were more than enough for two people. There was even a moment our waiter came near our table and we were panicking thinking we’d ordered more! We wanted to keep eating, but we were SO full! This place is definitely going to be our go-to Chinese Restaurant!

This is the best Chinese food in the Salem NH area. They always use very fresh ingredients and are friendly. I have been ordering since Yang Ming took over from the last place that was there. Guests from out of town usually have positive comments about Yang Ming’s menu selection and food.

Apparently this is my favorite place to review… Ordered again tonight and everything was fantastic! Picture perfect and delicious!!! You can see with my reviews that it’s not very consistent, but I will say that the majority of the time it’s great. I’m still not positive on the best day or time to order to ensure that the food will be at its best… to be determined.

Update: The Fact they reached out to express concern goes a long with me. I will be happy to give it another try. Second try with thee guys. Got a steak bento box and the steak was dry, precooked, over done and dry. It also took like 45 minutes for it to be ready and they were doing repairs while I was waiting and it was loud with hammering at the bar. Not a good experience at all.

Hands down the best Chinese food around. Any reviewers that say anything different don’t really know good Chinese food when they eat it. House Mai Tai’s are amazing. Owners and staff are friendly and attentive.

I realize it was New Year’s Eve, but I waited 2 hours for my order when we were promised 30 minutes. Needless to say I never got it and left since we were too hungry to wait any longer. There must have been more than 50 people in the same situation. It was senseless on their part to treat customers like this.

Decided to order the day before New Year’s Eve for a pick up at 7:00 pm on New Year’s Eve. Being a busy night I didn’t expect it to be ready when I got there and it wasn’t. No big deal! There had to be over a 100 people waiting and ordering. They told me it would be 20 min for mr order which I didn’t believe but I just went to the bar which was crazy busy with a girl and another guy making drinks as fast as they could and was amazed at the precision and poise they had to handle a full bar with at least 3 deep and take care of the waiters and waitresses for the restaurant patrons also. kudos to the bartenders and bar backs!!! Anyway I waited a total of an hour and half for my order and had an amazing house Mi tie ! Got my order at 8:30 and headed home to find the order perfectly correct and FRESH!!! Evan the rice! Everything was excellent! I will definitely return

Better than the average chinese food! Everything came out nice and hot, great scorpion bowl, and the food didn’t leave me dying for a gallon of water after the meal! The service was very friendly as well. We’ll go back for sure :)

We tried Yang Ming after reading it was the highest rated Chinese food place in NH. DISCLAIMER: That isn’t saying much. Now, that aside, I have to say the food is pretty darn good for a typical Chinese take out place. Our first visit was a dine-in affair and I was thrilled. Since then we have gotten take out 5 or 6 times and it has always been decent. I give them credit for that as I have been disappointed by many, many places that can’t seem to provide even the basics on a quality level. I mean, c’mon, what world do we live in when pork fried rice is hit and miss or when chicken fingers are dried out and lousy(looking at YOU Peking Garden of Andover). Anyway, until I am convinced otherwise this is my new go-to Chinese take out spot. Pass

Ok food at its best Fried rice was not good didn’t taste good the mall has better fried rice n there’s suck The portions r ok not big not small The servers and employees in general r great This place is more for the eyes than the pallet It’s very beautiful from décor to the food presentation/plating But food is to be eaten not jus for the eyes It’s seems to be a place for mixed drinks not really for«Chinese food»

This was a very nice surprise to find out in a not-exactly-international New Hampshire small town: decent quality(not as good as Boston’s Chinatown, of course) at reasonable prices and, perhaps most surprisingly and pleasantly, excellent service!(Friendly, attentive servers who can speak more than 20 words of English are rare in Chinatown, I usually find.) We stopped here on the way back from doing some tax-free shopping, wanted to avoid the usual Sunday-night traffic jam inbound to Boston. Nothing fancy but nothing shabby either, nice cozy place inside. It turns out their menu includes Japanese dishes(sushi) as well as the Chinese that we were expecting due to their name, and even a smattering of Thai dishes! We decided to play it safe and stick to the Chinese dishes, and were pretty happy with what we got(an appetizer plate and the house special duck). My only small gripe is that their beer menu is full of the usual mass market crap but that’s pretty much a given for every Asian restaurant I’ve ever been to outside of the beer-utopia that is the Pacific Northwest. They do have a «bar lounge» as well as two restaurant dining areas. I’m guessing a large part of their revenue comes from alcohol sales, to compensate for probably not that many customers given the location. All in all, this was a nice find.

BEST Chinese place!!! I’ve been coming here for years and have never once been disappointed. The service is always good and the owners are always around and interacting with their guests. They’re great! Food comes out incredibly fast and the portions are HUGE, especially for the awesome low prices. The lounge is a fun vibe and gets very busy on nights and weekends. Many of their lunch specials are under $ 10(the ones I usually get are around $ 7.95) and it includes the main course, rice, an appetizer sample and your choice of soup. Definitely a great deal for all that food! The variety of sushi and sashimi is also a plus and it is always fresh and beautifully presented. They’ve expanded and added a whole new room with lots more seating which will accommodate for their busy weekends. Glad to see them doing well!

I probably come here around 50 times a year. when my family goes out to eat, this is our spot for sure. The staff is really friendly, and the more you come, they remember you and make conversation. They’d surprise us with deserts or meals«on the house» completely unexpected sometimes, I have no complaints and my favorite snack is the California rolls. Always recommend for an inexpensive date or family gathering. A+

I’ve only been here once with family while on vacation, so if I ever go back I may adjust the star rating, but based on my one experience it deserves all 5. The service is fast and friendly. The staff make sure you are comfortable, satisfied with your experience, and are very attentive. The waitstaff also help each other out with their tables, so anytime a glass was almost full or dirty dishes had piled up, whoever walked by would stop and offer assistance. The restaurant is clean, well-lit, moderately decorated so it’s not over stimulating but not boring or drab either. We all tried a cocktail and each of us(4) tried a different one. The planters punch, Cosmo, Mai tai, and Pearl Harbor were all delicious and had quite the kick to them. A second one may have had me tipsy! The food was delicious. We all ordered a bunch of different plates and shared. We had fried rice, lo mein, hu nan chicken, general guao’s chicken, sushi, maki rolls, coconut shrimp, beef teriyaki, crab rangoons, and everything was freshly made, flavorful, and prepared and brought out very quickly. We didn’t have to wait for long when we asked for another plate or napkins. They also allow special orders, so my dad could leave off his broccoli from his chicken dish. I highly recommend this his place for Asian cuisine including sushi. There’s a sushi bar you can sit at. If I’m in the area again I will definitely be back!

From Pelham, we’ve been looking for a go to Chinese Restaurant in our area for quite a while since our favorite in Dracut, MA closed almost two years ago. Yang Ming, although not on par with our closed favorite, or others in Nashua or Manchester, it is better than others in the Salem area. It is immediately next door to The Lucky Dragon take out restaurant on Rt 28, which seems odd. I’ve had take out from The Lucky Dragon and was very disappointed. My thought was the two were related somehow so I wrote off Yang Ming. But after reading some reviews, mainly positive, we gave it a shot. Since it was our first time, we went with just the Pu Pu Platter and an order of Chicken Pad Thai. Oh, I also had a small Won Ton Soup to kick it off. The soup was nice, full of shredded veggies and slivers of pork, plus 4 or 5 small dumplings. The broth was a little weak, but not terribly so. It was satisfying. The Pu Pu platter for two came out so quick, I was afraid that it was full of pre-cooked appetizers. To my surprise everything was hot and tasted fresh. I should note here that it was not terribly busy for a Saturday evening. The winners were the chicken wings, chicken fingers, boneless spare ribs, steak and chicken teriyaki, and fried shrimp. The crab Rangoon were full of flavor, but we couldn’t find much crab. The egg rolls were the very disappointing. They appeared to be little more than very finely chopped up veggies. I would almost use the word minced. All in all, we were happy. The Pad Thai took us by surprise. I never cared for Pad Thai myself, but my wife enjoys it. The menu notes the rice noodle stir fry comes in a spicy sweet sour sauce. But they understate the spice level. It is by far the hottest, spice wise, Pad Thai we’ve ever had. I didn’t mind it, but my wife, the Pad Thai lover, didn’t care for the added heat. The big negative of Yang Ming is the atmosphere. In a word or two, it was loud. The piped in music was very loud and I think it is set as such to help drown out the neighboring lounge noise which could still be heard. Service was attentive yet also strange as we had at least four servers wait on us over the course of the meal. I don’t think we will visit Yang Ming to dine in, but will order take out.

really great food! probably the best you’ll find in the area! service was a little odd, only because we weren’t really sure who was our server because 2 – 3 people were at our table at different times helping us… but that’s not really a bad thing! sushi was great! soup delicious! drinks yummy! get the pot of tea — it’s delicious! will go again!

It was the first time I’ve been here, and given the quality of Chinese food in Salem, NH that I had come to expect, I was pleasantly surprised. Their lunch bento box was well-rounded, their tempura crisp and sushi rice sweet. And I have to say, their tea impressed.

Yang Ming has got better, WAYBETTER and it may be now the best Asian restaurant in Salem. We returned in August and also got take out several times and it was very fresh and good. Not too greasy or overly salty. Some very nice non American Chinese and Japanese dishes. We really like the shredded beef with scallion pancake(our pancakes were missing) and the house Ho Foon. The crab rangoons are so fresh and super stuffed! Not 5 stars yet, but may get there in time. Who knows.
