We attempted to stay here. The owners were pleasant. We paid for our room and when we inspected the room there was a fast food container in the fridge. The shower had a used bar of soap and the sink area was not clean. We had set our bag on the bed and when we picked it up it was covered in pet hair. The owner offered another room but we decided to find somewhere else to stay. She refunded us our money and we left. The décor was quirky and quite cute just needed to be cleaned properly.

VERY charming! Loved the cabin(#4). I was surprised to find everything from pots, pans, silverware, dishes to an old fashion egg beater! Location is good and quiet. Owners were great as were their kids. Will definitely go back again.

It’s clean and the location is good. But the rooms in the cabin section could use some updating, at the very least wash or replace the throw rugs. Pretty high rate for the condition, but the beds were comfy.

We(family of four) stayed for two nights in the older«cabin» section(#2). I love older properties, especially ones this old, as they tend to have a lot more charm than other hotel/motel choices. It was great having three beds in a single room. However, the room was dark, and the carpet felt like it needed to be replaced. These old 1940s cabins have everything you need, but are rather cramped and cluttered. Dealing with the manager was… interesting. He did have something going on in his personal life, but left over the weekend, meaning I had to give my credit card information to the cleaning staff for him to «charge later». I would probably look elsewhere if I were to stay in Salida again in the future.

A good place turned great by a new owner. By far the best place in Salida.

small motel on the east side of Salida as you enter the city. Motel has two sections. Older cabins and newer motel rooms built in 1990’s. we stayed in the newer section. rooms are large, with micowave, small frig. beds and pillow are hard. Big bathroom. a clean and neat place to stay with parking at your door. we have a dog and our room had a back patio with grassy area for the dog. nice when you are traveling with a dog. at this time, the motel is under contract for sale. our room was $ 50 a night including pet.
