A place to go to find tons of items at a low price. I have a furry animal and she loves herself some treats and lots of food. I also like to make sure she eats healthy or at least food that isn’t full of «bad» ingredients. Those that have animals know what I mean. I tend to have good luck in finding her all-natural and good food here, at a fraction of the price. This location isn’t my local spot, but since I was in town I had to check it out.

I don’t like the location, especially how the poor Building looks rundown. But they have great deals on there furniture and always have very cute holiday items. The staff is actually nice, especially a certain male that works in the furniture department.. He’s so nice, great customer service. I think he’s waisting his time there, but we all need a job. !

We came in here specifically for a spindle of DVD’s a 50 pack for 14.00 and a case of 25 slim jewel DVD’s cases for 5 bucks I guess you can’t beat that price anywhere. We left with alot of other stuff too. Hard not to with their good prices. Yea the store looks disheveled, oh well, what do you want when looking for bargains.

This store is definitely not my first store of choice however they do have some really good deals. I bought my fake christmas tree here two years ago and I got an amazing deal on it. When I have parties for my kids I go here to find things for cheaper prices. I love big lots!

As a broke college student, this place saves my ass every time I move into a new apartment. Cheap cooking supplies, shower heads, rugs, & necessaries like toilet paper & paper towels. Then of course there’s the massive collection of on-sale Christmas lights that seem to be there year round(I can never get enough of those things). The employees are really nice and know their inventory well, despite how massive the store is. Even if I’m checking out as the store is closing, they’re always friendly and provide good conversation. It looks like they’re also expanding this location into the building next door, so I’m excited for that!

I like shopping at Big Lots for the bargains. They get popular brand items and sell them at discount prices. As all Big Lots stores, they have all kinds of merchandise such as bath supplies, auto supplies, clothing, electronics, grocery food, furniture, bedding and more. They carry name brands such as Rubbermaid, Hanes, Ed Hardy, Post, Crystal Geyser, Disney, and travelocity. But the stock keeps on changing. They also sell seasonal items. Mainly, the items that they sell come from overstocks. Some of the items are mildly defective and are marked as such. Big Lots Stores have an interesting history. Their store name has been changed three times. In the 1980s, they were called Pic n’ Save and in the 1990s, they were called McFrugals. I grew up shopping at these stores. I never really understood why they changed the name of the store three times. I wonder if they continue with the pattern that some time between now and 2020 the name will be changed again. There are a few negative things I do not like about this particular Big Lots. First, the fact that there are signs throughout the store on tables stating everything at these tables are discounted from sometimes 30% to 90% off the original price. Today, I noticed many 2012 calenders at a discount table with a sign that stated everything there was 90% off. The calender I have been using this year fell apart so I thought I would get another one to replace it. A clerk told me that no the calender was not discounted. Come on now! The year is more then half way through! I could not believe that!!! Who would pay regular price for a 2012 calender at this time of the year?!? I am pretty sure it was in the right place as there were several there. That was dumb! Maybe I could have successful argued it but I was tired so I did not bother. Also I saw a paper taped on a shelf that showed that certain phone chargers were buy one get one for half off. Cool! But then when I got to the counter, the clerk said that they were not part of that sale. I found the paper that stated that these indeed were the exact chargers that were on sale and got the deal. Another aggravating incident was when I found a pack of socks on a sale table that read that all accessories there were 90% off. But no, apparently they were not on sale even though there were mostly socks displayed at this table! I was frustrated to the max! Seriously, two things need to happen. The items that are discounted should be shown up on the computers as discounted. If certain items are not discounted then they should be taken off the discount tables to reduce anymore customer/clerk confusion. This is the main reason why I had to rate this store with just three stars instead of five. Another thing though is that in the back where there is a desk where I guess clerks use to check on items online for customers, is out in the open. What worries me is that they leave tools around. Today I saw a small boy sitting at the desk and playing with a power drill. It did not appear that any of his parents were around! I told a clerk who apparently took care of the situation right away. I registered for the Big Lots discount card at this Big Lots about a year ago. When I tried to use it, the card would not work. So I have not been able to get any discounts. I contacted Big Lots Online but did not get a reply. Oh well… sigh. Big Lots sells most regular DVDs for $ 3. But hardly anyone buys regular DVDs nowadays. Blu ray DVDS are the big thing now. I never see any Blu ray DVDs for sale at any Big Lots stores. I wish they would carry these. It appears to me that they still have pretty much the same DVD stock as they always have. I doubt too many customers purchase DVDs at Big Lots. If anything, they would profit more if they sold the regular DVDs for only $ 1. Anyhow, if you want bargains this store has great bargains. But if you see items at discount tables and hope to get the discount price, do not count on it. Pros: –great bargains on name brand merchandise –nice friendly staff –has a rewards card(that is… if you can easily register for it) Cons: –deceptive pricing –registering rewards card was a total screw up for me –staff leave tools unattended –this can be dangerous –make up section gets messy with opened packages and makeup used — gross! –always check food items for their expiration date as items may be expired or close to expired

What can I say I’ve grown up here. I used to come when it was named Mc Frugals and before that Pic n Save. You can find some real good deals on scrapbooking supplies. You can also get good bargains on canned foods, snacks and they even have a Mexican food section. They carry Paula Deen cookware and if you sign up they will send you emails on upcoming sales. Plenty of parking and although not the best neighborhood during the day it’s safe.

I big fat heart YOU Big Lots! Thank you for: my husband’s cuddler chair(it is a double recliner), my couch that I sit on every day, my kitchen table with chairs & bench that is kick ass, my guest bed that is a Serta thanks to your prices, oh I could go on and on about the money you have saved me so I can buy more sunglasses, I mean save – but I could never tell how much much of a gem you truly are!

I love Big lots, this one has great deals on just about everything. I have picked up tons of good stuff here. Groceries, curtains, socks, electronic gadgets. Plus that have remodeled it here recently so it has been much cleaner then in the past. With the remodel they added furniture. Some of it is cute but I haven’t bought any of it. All in all big lots rocks my socks off.
