I was greeted with friendly service, and a very clean restaurant with a peaceful ambiance. I ordered from the lunch special menu for take out, which was $ 6.50 for large portions, and it came out quickly. Food was authentic and flavorful.

Living in the Bay Area where good food and restaurants are of abundance, I had very little expectations with this place. Service was a bit slow, but to my surprise the food was amazingly very good! You can really see and taste the freshness. No wonder they were awarded top 100 best chinese restaurant in the USA! I will definitely be coming back when in the area again.

Had lunch at Golden China recently and was very pleased with the meal. The two of us ordered wor won ton soup and the serving was huge. The large bowl, more than enough for 2, contained a generous njmber of tasty meat stuffed won ton, vegetables, bbq pork and shrimps. We also ordered one dish of «gnow nom» beef served over a bed of lettuce(my favorite). It is basically tendon beef sauteed in a nicely flavored gravy. The entire lunch including tea and rice ended up costing on average $ 20 per person.

Excellent food. Total hole in the wall and minimal environment. Tables are 50+ years old. BUTWOW!!! The food was incredible!!! Huge plates of food. I think I weigh 5 lbs more right now… Worth a stop. Kids enjoyed too. We are introducing new foods and they enjoyed it all. Very rare for them.

We came in for dinner last night before our last softball game. This place is very close to the Storm Stadium. We both decided to get their #1 dinner special, it’s a minimum 2 person special which includes: Soup of the day~Egg flower 2 Fried Prawns 2 Fried Egg rolls BBQ pork Fried Rice Sweet and Sour Pork and House Chow Mein They serve this family style. Everything was very good. The egg rolls and prawns were nice and crispy. The sweet and sour pork is just right. I only wish they would change up the soup of the day. Every time I’ve been here it’s been egg flower soup. We like this place alot and we’ll be back.

Nothing really amazing here. Except the rice, there was something different about it. A very good flavor indeed. The service was excellent but the place was too quiet for my taste. The décor is way out of date and the place just seems dated. Time for some improvements.

The rice noodle soup is delicious. Vegetables are delivered daily, and noodles are cooked to perfection. Service is ok, has room for improvement. Staff is friendly, and they had a smile the whole time I was there. If your ever in town, I would recommend you try this place.

Best Chinese cuisine in Salinas. I had lunch there and it was great. Last night there was a large dinner party there with numerous guests. Each and every entrée was excellent. Best homemade Wonton soup around.

This is the second time we have eaten here since the new owners took over two years ago. We only stop there when traveling through at dinner time. The food is excellent. All ingredients are very fresh and flavorful. The Wor Wonton Soup is loaded with shrimp, wontons, broccoli, BBQ pork slices, other veggies all in a chicken broth. It’s a meal in itself. We also had cashew chicken and found it great. The new owners are even better than the old owners. Wish we lived closer to this restaurant.

I love this place! We eat here almost every week. Reading the other reviews, I feel don’t give this place justice. I find the food to be refreshing and soo good!!! The staff is so great and friendly!!! I LOVE the Sizzling Rice Seafood Soup – its different and ooh so good(this one has tofu)!

Try to avoid eating here. It’s the worst tasting Chinese food I’ve had. The food tasted stale & I got sick after eating here

If you are looking for great tasting authentic Chinese food… stay away from this place. Food is bland and not served at the right temperature. Gave it three stars for the free tea and great customer service.

New owners and we had a great meal last night. Party of 6 and more food than we could eat. The pot-stickers were wonderful and others raved about their Lemon Chicken and Mongolian Beef. I had a precious tofu clay pot which was wonderful. As many of the Chinese restaurants in town have gone down in quality this was a nice improvement
