This is a one woman show-Lee runs the place on her own! As a result, turn around time might be slower than other businesses, so if you’re in a rush this might not be the place for you. Lee has met all of my deadlines/given times, but I haven’t needed anything right away. She’s affordable and very accommodating(she will stay after hours if you tell her in advance). She closes 1 hour earlier in the winter than summer. Overall, I was satisfied and would come back. Tip: bring cash!

I just tried on my shirt after having Lee fit it for my body. I have to say that I am very impressed! She even offered to stitch my thick, ripped leather jacket together and I couldn’t even tell which side was ripped when I got it back. If you still have doubts, don’t! She’s been here for over 30 years with numerous loyal clients and had much more professional experience before that as well. Her joyful persona and incredible tailoring skills have gotten her a loyal customer. You won’t be displeased!

My wife went to this place 2 weeks ago to get an alteration done for a wedding we are going to this weekend. She went to pick up the item yesterday(the day it was scheduled to be done) and it had not been touched. My wife now has to go shopping the day before we are traveling for a wedding when we have a million other things to do. Thanks for Nothing! This is the worst kind of business person in the world, one that does not follow through on what they say they are going to do. I highly recommend you find someone else to do your alterations.

Lee does a great job, got a bridesmaid dress hemmed here and she did it for half the price another nearby tailor quoted me. You do need to be patient and I would recommend calling her before you pick up She is very sweet and is reasonably priced!

Ms. Sook, the wonderful seamstress/expert in all things clothing in Lee’s, is AMAZING!!! I moved to the area not long ago and had no idea where to go to get some last minute emergency alterations for some clothes I had to have before traveling the next week. I was a little worried about my time constraint because she had so much work to do already but she came thru and I am now prepared to travel tomorrow with beautifully altered clothing!!! I have nEVER had a better alterationist and I will be bringing ALL of my clothes to her, Lee’s does phenomenal work! Not only that but I checked everywhere and hands down Lee’s prices are also the best… I wish I could give more than 5 stars…

Lee is AMAZING! With little hope, I took her my too-large, ill-fitting blah wedding dress, and she turned it into my dream dress. I have no idea how, but she completely worked her magic… and for so little money. I will never use another seamstress, and will forever send people her way and sing her praises. Thank you, Lee!!!

Lee did a great job and had it done before the time frame she gave me. She altered my $ 500 bridesmaid dress and it was perfect! The bust was too big, but she fitted it nicely. I would go to her again.

Did a search for alterations because i was headed down to Salinas from Hollister. I’m sure glad the first place didn’t answer and I found Ms. Lee! She was GREAT! Open early, very sweet. I took a pair of designer jeans to have them hemmed and the original hem placed back on. Hard to find a seamstress who does that. She did awesome job you can’t even tell anything was done to them other than the fact that the length is now perfect for me. She did same day! Dropped them off alittle before 9am and picked them up at noon for only $ 20! You can’t beat her professional job, time and prices! When i picked up my jeans she was helping one of her first costumers who said he had been coming to her for 28years!

Lee’s does a great job, if you’re willing to be patient and are not in a rush. I’ve probably been there 6 – 10 times in the last two or three years. The lady always does a great job, but I’d say at least three times I went to pick up clothes on the day they were promised and they weren’t ready. At least once, I went back a second time and they still weren’t ready. That being said– I don’t know how the poor woman keeps up with all the work she has. But I continue to go to her because she is friendly, does a great job, and is cheap. If you’re in a rush– go to Julian’s on Main Street, but be prepared to pay a lot more.
