I found this store to be even more friendly and helpful than my usual Marshalls store. Every staff member that I came in contact with was helpful and very friendly. Their selection is OK, but the place was fairly clean and organized.

This Marshall would have to be the worst Marshall I have ever been to in my life or maybe is the fact that is in salinas. I went in 30 min before they closed worst time I know but I was going in to look at the shoes real quick. I found a pair of coach shoes on sale with several sizes. The shoes my size looked worn and I looked at the others to see why were they on clearance but they all looked good inside their boxes. I went to the register asking if there was a way they can at least give me a 10% off bc they look worn out from the bottom. The manager said no bc they were already on sale n that it looks like someone worn them inside the store that ppl do that but that she couldn’t do anything about it. Seriously?! She even said they’ve been worn around so why not give a 10% or 5% discount bc the other shoes look in perfect condition and these looked bad from the bottom like they were worn in for more than an hour. The store was pretty messy too and the lady at the fitting room was pretty rude. I will never step foot at this Marshall’s whenever I’m visiting family in salinas. It seriously reminded me of a ghetto Ross.

I am sooooo addicted to Q’s tonic water and their KOLA. This is the only place in salinas that has those. I’m telling you… if you’re a big gin & tonic person or even a crown & coke person — - Go to Marshall’s food isle and pick up one of Brooklyn’s finest Q brand products. sometimes they’re even on sale for only $ 1!!! yumazing!

Marshals in Salinas is really dirty, over-crowded and noisy. It hard to shop because of the congestion, however, the clothes prices are worth it. I would have given this a higher rating but because of the compactness and the lack of staff assistance, I gave it 3 stars. Other than that, its a nice place to shop and to get some quality clothing for cheap, especially if your on a budget. The other thing lacking about this store is the styles, they are a couple seasons back and this can be a problem especially if you’re into fashion such as myself. Head over if you want girl clothes though, they never go out of style.

When shopping in Salinas, I like going to Marshalls. However in comparison to the Ross in Salinas(check out my Ross review), there are some factors why I prefer Marshalls. When I shop at Marshalls, I have not had to endure screaming kids running through the store that I have to be careful not to hit with my shopping cart like I have at the Ross. Marshalls is a safer and quieter store. Still, this Marshalls as all Marshalls I have been to, no longer carry jewelry like their sister store, TJ. Maxx still does. I miss the sterling silver jewelry that they sold in the 1990s — early 2000s. Ross on the other hand, especially the one in Salinas, has lots of nice jewelry for sale. Another thing, this Marshalls like the other Marshalls, have a low selection of large women’s clothing. I would like to see more gym clothes and underwear especially in large women’s sizes. Ross often has a larger selection of both. Pros: –is a franchise that includes Home Goods and T.J. Maxx –has a large selection of name brand merchandise and bargain prices –gets novelty items like a Pac Man Arcade –great clearances –huge store that is pretty clean –great seasonal items –safer and quieter store then Ross and others –has credit card rewards program and a general non-credit card one-however lousy Cons: –has a low selection of large women’s clothing esp. athletic wear and underwear –the general rewards program is lousy –rarely gets costume and sterling silver jewelry

first of all, the store is super messy like nobody cleans the place. the dressing rooms are just as filthy and people just congregate in there like it’s another department. all the clothes are misplaced everywhere not organized at all. they could also do better with the brands, they have FAKE hollister. it’s obvious that it’s fake too. and customer service is sooo poor. the employees make you feel like an idiot and they seem angry all the time. i love marshall’s but i would ditch this one for the Great Mall one anytime.
