This places uses REAL Chinese reflexology. They pinpoint actual pressure points and use heavy pressure. Its AWESOME if that’s what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a light massage that just feels nice then this isn’t for you.

I had THEWORST massage ever here. And I’ve had plenty and not always great. I showed up with some friends. They put me(a female) into a room with my male friend to wait. Then when they walked in, they asked us why we weren’t naked and under the sheets already. Because I was close with my friend and didn’t feel uncomfortable about it, we just giggled and didn’t anyway. Well, we had asked for a one hour massage. But they said that everyone else could have one, but they could only offer me half an hour? That’s rude. Already, they have two strikes. Well, in comes this guy. He must have been such an amateur, because the way he was rubbing me felt horrible. On top of that, he was chewing his gum so loudly. Then he also had his phone NOT on silent. On top of that, it rang once. very loudly. Then he silenced it. Then it rang again so he answered while massaging me. Then he hung up and put the phone right next to my ear so that the next time it rang, it was right in my ear. I was horrified. Seriously, worst service I have ever received.

Is it the best place. Of course not. But for the value, it ranks very high. 25 for an hour usually means some non English speaking person manhandles you, smacks your back and neck, twist and turns your feet, grabs your neck like they are trying to break it. Not the case here. Very friendly, easy to communicate with and professional. I went in for the reflexology and was happy with the experience. Any comments on the quality of the services has to be done in context of the price. Hey, I have had 200 an hour massage be less impressive. So a very solid choice if you are in the Monterey Ca area. Only a block away from the Marriott.

I go for foot massages all the time in Los Angeles. I was in Monterey for two days, found this place on Unilocal.Clean place and very good therapist(since I don’t live in a town I didn’t ask lady’s name). They just took over the place and going to change name. Hope you could still find them, they are good!

Worst full body massage of my life, my two girlfriends and I decided to have a group massage together, I called ahead to make sure they could accommodate all 3 in the same room, once we arrived they wanted us in separate room, then the head piece smelled like an old dirty moldy towel. The massage itself was awful, I’m not sure if the guy even knew what he was doing! His hand slipped touching my private areas more than once! my friends said the same thing! I left feeling violated and left with no tension relieved from my muscles, needless to say my feet were not happy. My friends felt the same way. Then they insisted we pay cash and told us to walk down the street to the ATM after they initially said we could pay by debit card! I will never return!

Get ready to be man-handled here, LOL. I just went to this place this afternoon and my experience was great and a little awkward. I have never went to a reflexology spa in my life. I’m used to the slow, relaxing massages that I receive at Elysium, but I really wanted a foot massage, so I decided to come here. I chose the 30 min. foot massage and the receptionist lead me to the back, large sitting room. Other customers were already getting a massage, and it was so quiet and peaceful with relaxing jazz music playing in the background. She informed me that I needed to take off my pants(wha?), so she handed me a body towel and said I could change in one of the empty rooms. I came back and sat down(with a towel wrapped around my waist), and she had a large, round wooden basket lined with a large plastic bag filled with warm water and placed my feet in to soak for several minutes. She then asked if I wanted a deep tissue massage so I said, «Sure.» Then she placed another large white towel over me and reclined my chair back. A few minutes later, a man comes over and starts to do a facial massage and hits all of the pressure points, then down to my neck and shoulders. Then he proceeded to my arms and hands, and then down to my calves and feet. Yes, it got a little rough at several times but it’s bearable. A lot of punching, slapping and really get-down-in-there deep tissue massage. Here are some tips: 1. If you have any joint issues, I would not recommend coming here. Several times I heard my toes popping as the guy pulled on them at one point. If you have any hand injuries, this is probably not the best place for you since they do a lot of rotating and twirling of your hands and wrists. 2. If you wear a lot of facial makeup or at least draw your eyebrows in(like I do), try to wear minimal makeup or bring your makeup bag because they will rub lotion all over your face and tada! Your eyebrows have magically disappeared. Thank God I had my eyebrow pencil with me! 3. Wear underwear! You may be asked to take off your pants(for the foot massage at least). They do give you a towel, but what happens if your towel accidentally falls off?! Not a pretty sight. After you’re done, they give you a small water bottle on your way out. And I only paid $ 20.00! You can’t beat the price! And their facility is clean and well kept. Parking can be a pain because everything is metered. I went on a Sunday where parking is not enforced and parked in the lot behind Lallapalooza’s and walked about a block. I am definitely coming back here.

Went here for the first time tonight. I had been going once a month to the Happy Foot Spa on Washington, but I found this place to be more organized, cleaner, and overall a more pleasant experience. The staff was attentive and asked several times if the pressure was too weak or strong, so they could customize it to my liking. After a long week of working out and a weekend of outdoor activities, you can’t beat a $ 25/hour massage that includes foot and whole body. Lisa and Allen were the two that worked out our kinks. They were both friendly and attentive; even the manager was very happy to have us and seemed like she cared about her clients and her business. Some people might be turned off by the fact that they’re Chinese and may expect something shady, but that’s not what you’ll find here. Very professional and I will definitely come here again!

Unbelievable. Worth $ 100 easily, but only cost $ 25! Wish I lived here so I could take advantage of this amazing and affordable place more frequently. The perfect end to a long day on your feet.

My two co-workers and I had a great one hour massage here. They are brand new and have a really nice, relaxing setting. We were all completely satisfied with our treatments. The woman running the place was very friendly and spoke English really well. I would highly recommend Happy Feet Express!

I have visited all of the foot reflexology spas in Monterey and Happy Feet Express is definitely my favorite! The ambiance is beautiful and nurturing and everything is spotlessly clean and well-maintained including the rest rooms. The staff is gracious, welcoming, and extremely generous with their time and talent. My only complaint(which I can’t even complain about) is that they try too hard and, for my tastes, the massage is too rigorous. So if you like a gentler massage please be sure and let them know ahead of time so they can accommodate your preference. But if you just love a truly deep massage – then you’re in luck! Also the location could not be more convenient for the downtown motels. If you are a local or a tourist, do yourself a favor and pamper yourself with Happy Feet Express.
