Went in today to get some keys made, obviously lol. I just purchased an old 83′ Honda motorcycle and have been having lots of trouble finding someone that has the blank.
The staff at Smokey was very helpful, and determined to try to find a key that fit my Honda. They initially cut me a key that didn’t work, but they were able to look up the code and find another key to try.
Luckily and thankfully the key worked perfectly and they were sure to make sure I was satisfied before I left. Great staff, family owned, and all so helpful and welcoming.

Smo-​Key Key Service is among the last of a dying breed of great specialty retail service stores. Our non-​profit agency has been doing business with them since they opened. Friday (that’s her name!) is awesome. Need a key for a file cabinet? No problem. Just call and give them the serial # on the front of the lock and manufacturer (Hon, Steelcase, etc.) and they will have the key ready when you stop by! They make house, business and car calls as well.

I called the local Schlage distributor after a few false locksmith starts, and asked them for a recommendation. «Call Smokey,» I thought I heard (punchline spoiled.)
Ronnie came out and did it all, no problems. Even made some extra keys for me on the spot; he had what he needed at the ready.
Fantastic service, professionalism, very reasonably priced, and quick as well.
I just wish I knew of companies this good in other specialties.
Start with Smo Key, and save all the time we wasted.

Recently, I had the pleasure of dealing with the «new generation» of locksmiths at
Smo-​Key Service in Salinas. Mr. Ronnie Rehn assisted me in making some decisions about safes and offered expert advice in a very pleasant and friendly way.
Also, whenever I need keys for my office building or rental houses, I get them made at Smo-​Key because they always work and they have really fun styles.
