WHAT A RIPOFF!
Inquired via their webpage for an estimate for the replacement of screen material in two window screens (28×48″). After a few days I received a call in which the person wanted to set up an appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate. I asked to be given an estimate over the phone (figuring it was such a small job). Response: $ 343.00! (no, that’s not a typo) for two window screens!!! I was floored; really? To replace the screen material? Found a local guy who did the job for $ 20.00 each.
Trust me; go elsewhere. You’ll save yourself a bunch of money and frustration!

I set up an appointment with the Glass Guru then called the day before the appointment to confirm with them. Nobody answered my call so I left a message asking them to please call me back to confirm our appointment. Our appointment was set for between 3−4pm. I never received a call back. I went home the day of the appointment and found a business card on my front door. I was there 3 minutes before 3pm but the Glass Guru had already been there and left. Very upsetting. They surely won’t be getting my business or any recommendations from me.

We had an unfortunate experience with this company. We had three windows replaced but they didn’t replace them with glass that matched the existing tinted windows, but clear glass. Seemed pretty obvious that we expected the glass replaced to match what was thereTodd was rude to me for no apparent reason. Several attempts were made to fix the windows with several emails back and forth. Ultimately we paid for the labor of the wrong glass plus that to re-​install the correct glass.
I hope our experience was just a fluke and they are better to others.

If I could, I would give them negative stars. Made an appointment for the pacific grove area and Rubie said she didn’t even have me on the books. Waited all day for nothing. Spoke with her yesterday and she specifically stated someone would be here to give me a quote between 1 pm and 2 pm… Called because no one showed and she said someone called me yesterday after I called and that was a lie. Poor customer service.

After initially giving a 1 star review on Unilocal,I am revising my review as the company has since made things right. After complaining that the majority of water staining was not removed from my shower doors, the Glass Guru came out at no extra charge and did a really good job on my shower door. So, although it took some time, some complaining and a couple of appointments– I now feel that I got what I paid for and am satisfied with the service I received.

I rarely give a business a bad review but, after spending thousands of dollars, I’m looking at the poorly installed window panes w smudges all over the insides and chipped mullions and wondering how much more it will cost me to fix it.

So I called this place at around 9 am and they finally get around to returning my call at 2:30 pm. I return their call and speak to a woman named Michell to set up an appointment for an estimate. She then tells me that they don’t go to Hollister. Really, Salinas is about 20 min. away. She said they are too busy to go AAALLL the way out to Hollister. Guess they don’t need anymore business.
