This place is over the top good. I love the selection and especially the fresh grill items.

The food was decent, unlike most buffet style Chinese places. The staff seemed ok. Not too intrusive, but checked to see if everything was ok from time to time. Selection was good, but the general tso’s chicken was mushy and tasted like vinegar. Many of the foods tasted overly sweet. Pepper chicken is not supposed to be sugary sweet. The fried rice was also sweet tasting, but at least it wasn’t the cheap yellow rice that so many places use as fried rice. Fried white rice is the only real type of fried rice. Seemed to be a bit pricey for the selection. The total was $ 18.00 for one person and a glass of water to drink. Still, it was a step up from the average Chinese buffet.

You would think that with 30min left of business that they would take your order, instead I got a rude response that they were closed and hung up on. The bad thing is that I was on 1min up the road and just wanted broccoli and rice. I definitely will not be patronizing a business that has horrible customer service if I will receive a rude response I will receive rude and disrespectful customer service. I’m new to this area, I really enjoy Chinese, and usually look past the saying of «the first impression is the last impression» but I in this case I will never step foot in this restaurant, guess I will continue my search else where.

Had dinner here over a year ago and it was great, went again last night with a large group and the food quality really has gone down hill. You could tell many items had been reheated from previous day’s which dried them out. Meats were very tough, deserts were poor quality, ice cream machine was broken and overall cleanliness of the restaurant was poor. I think they really need a second makeover.

When traveling, there are certain restaurants I try to patronize out of personal sentiment; but when it comes to Asian food, there are two Chinese buffets that I make it a point to visit. In Dothan, Alabama is Icheban’s, which is by far the best moderately priced restaurant in the Dothan area, especially considering that it is a Japanese/Chinese buffet with more than the normal variety of additional American offerings. However, when in the Salisbury, Maryland area I always make it a point to land at the Chinatown Buffet. The food, regardless of your choice, is always fresh and of proper temperature, well prepared and neither bland or over-seasoned. The wait staff is friendly and attentive starting with the receptionist who congenially greets you upon your arrival, and accompanies you to your table with a smile. In their recent remodel they have added large-screen TV’s, so that sports fans can keep up with the games and news fans can keep up with the latest topic of interest. I am particularly impressed with the sushi choices, both in their quality and quantity, which are exceptional for a buffet-style restaurant, and are deserving of presentation at a more elegant venue. Their coconut shrimp is one of my personal favorites. Children’s favorites such as mac & cheese, chicken tenders, nuggets, amazingly good fries, pizza, wings and other munchables are available. The desserts are abundant, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and more, as well as soft serve ice cream which is better than you should expect from a buffet. Fresh fruit choices and a hibachi grill are a fine compliment to their vast selection, whose offerings are diverse enough to surely satisfy all, except those who do not understand what a buffet truly is — a place you should be able to get really good food quickly without having to drive up to a window. Exceptionally clean, and comfortable, though obviously not truly a five-star restaurant, being a buffet, the Chinatown Buffet still deserves five stars considering its genre. Highly recommended, and one of my favorite stops on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

My friends and I decided to stop by this place on our way to Ocean City. The previous Chinese buffet along Route 50 had gone out of business so I thought maybe there wasn’t any demand for these in this area. This restaurant was a great find. I tried the various chicken recipes such as black pepper chicken, orange chicken, and barbecue chicken. I also tried pizza, fried rice, and an egg roll. Everything was fantastic. We would’ve liked to try out more food such as the Hibachi grill. Unfortunately, my stomach wasn’t big enough. Service was also good. Our server got us big cups of cold water. It tasted great. You wouldn’t even think it was tap water.

Bigger and more complete than any other Chinese buffet I’ve eaten at. It was easily a third larger than my favorite local buffet. Maybe the population just isn’t dense enough in the Midwest to support the high volume a buffet this large must require? This place does seat maybe twice what my local does. The $ 14.99 weekend buffet included crab legs, blue crabs, and several more kinds of sushi(sashimi and inarizushi, even) than I’d see locally. They even had a raw bar, which is not what I want in a buffet but I was impressed that they had one. Moreover, the food was fresh, with new pans coming out all the time, and everything I tried was good(even the stuffed mushrooms, which are usually a disappointment.) We considered another buffet in a storefront in central Salisbury and walked out after looking at the small and withered-looking selection, I’m so glad we came here instead!

Terrible service. Drink refills were far and few between. Dishes stacked up before they bussed away. Waitress stood over my husband while he was signing the credit card receipt. Informed him that he did not leave a tip. Really??? Offensive and awkward. we have been long time customers. Not going back.

I used to love this place. I just went with my daughter for the first time since they remodeled. I think maybe they spent all of their money on the décor because the food is now terrible. I could not finish anything I tried. My daughter now hates stuffed shrimp. I do not know what to saw except stay away. They made me give one star i wish they would go negative

VERYDISAPPOINTED!!! My husband and I used to love this place. We used to go at least once or twice a week. We have not been in a while because a new AYCE Chinese/American Buffet opened up right around the corner,(Flaming Grill Buffet) which has so much more to offer than China Town and they are also cheaper. We decided to go back to China Town today because we have not been in a while. I noticed that they have taken some things off the buffet that they had previously like the green beans and a couple of other things, no big deal, change«can» be good. However, the service was HORRIBLE which is a problem we have NEVER had here. In the past they have been right on top of their«game» and immediately refilled drinks even before they were completely empty and dirty dishes were immediately cleared off the tables. Not today, I waited for over 15 minutes for a drink refill while several servers walked by the table and saw the glass at the end of the table. Dirty dishes just sitting at the edge of the table again while several servers walked by them. When we went to check out there was a guy behind the counter who acted like we interrupted whatever he was doing. He took our check and credit card, processed the transaction and never once spoke or even looked at us!!! You would think that with the new competition that they would be on their game, NOTSOMUCH!!!

I must have said something wrong in my earlier review because Unilocal made it disappear. I love the eggplant in garlic sauce, which is only served at lunch for some reason. Everything is tasty. There is a large selection. Service is prompt. One of my favorite places to dine.

Has limited vegan options, but good in a pinch. Their veggie lo mein is vegan, and obviously the fresh fruits and veggies are. If you have to go here, you will not starve!

You get what you pay for. Overall, good quality and enough to satisfy. It is definitely the best Chinese food in the Salisbury area.

Every time I’ve gone to the East Coast to visit my mother, I’ve insisted that we go to Salisbury to have lunch at the buffet. I love this place. It’s the best selection of food I’ve seen at a buffet and it all tastes very good.

Very limited selection of Americanized Chinese food. Drinks are not included. Food tastes… well, like any other Chinese joint. Nothing special. Just a stomach filler.

Nice, quick and cheep for lunch. The dinner price runs about $ 12 or so… but very cheap for young children. The food isn’t always consistant. The background music is from the movie titanic and is annoying!!! They are very quick to take dirty plates and get you refills. The desserts aren’t always the most flavorful, but… My family enjoys going there…

Fairly standard Chinese buffet… plenty of normal Americanized Chinese favorites along with kiddie-type buffet fare like fried mozzarella sticks. The sauce on the General Tso’s Chicken was a little bit thin, but everything else was pretty good for a buffet. My main complaint is that this place was an absolute zoo. Kids running around and VERY loud, but what else do you expect from a large buffet during peak hours?
