When they say(okay, when Rod says) there is nothing like this in the area, he means it. There is nothing like this in Salisbury, and there is really nothing like this in Charlotte since Rock & Roll Emporium shut their doors — but even that wasn’t close. Us older folk may look back fondly on what Spencer Gifts used to be, but even that isn’t quite the same thing. Think of this like a farm-to-table version of the old Spencer Gifts, before it turned into a goth version of Claire’s and you’re getting closer. What you have here is a bunch of black. There are black clothes, there are black accessories, and you can even find black artwork. Staff is friendly too — at least as friendly as someone stocking this sort of merchandise should be. Don’t be scared. The only downside is that there is a fairly limited selection, even for such a small shop. Partially due to the limited clientele, partially(I am sure) due to the fact that they don’t want to hold much stock. But it means that you have to get a bit lucky on what is in stock when you stop in. Put another way: Shop more and I’m sure they will carry more!

I know all the Scene Kids did not move to Charlotte and the few in Cooleemee and Masses in Mocksville need to check this place out! Black Jeans in only the coolest cut like the Band wears and the skaters and ME! Clown Shoes, other Cool Footwear and more clothes! Opened April 1, 2011 — That’s right this guy and his wife had their opening day be April Fools Day! Fantastic! Original Artwork for a New Orleans Artist — Nice touch! Cool stuff for the Dead too!
