I was not impressed with Happy’s. The fried dough was $ 4.50 which I consider to be a total rip off but I bought one for my son because he was looking forward to it. Yes, it was a really good size but it was semi uncooked and sticky in the middle. I was going to get fries until I saw they were $ 6.00. I am not cheap but I do not like to be ripped off. Finally, if the miserable old guy behind the counter was Happy, I think he should change his name. He was rude and unpleasant. He literally tossed the fried dough on the counter and walked away. I thanked him and he ignored me. I would NEVER patronize him again. There are too many other spots to get fried dough.

The food I ordered here today was inedible. I ordered a corndog, and they didn’t fry it, they MICROWAVED it– it was a soggy disgusting mess! I couldn’t believe that. They even had like 3 fryers going, so why not drop a corndog in? I also ordered corn on the cob and I took about 3 bites and had to throw it away. It tasted exactly like wax.

Been going here since I was little. We specifically drive an hour just for the German fries which are absolutely amazing! Also got a lemonade here today and it was really good.

Fried DOUGH! Yummy! It’s nice to be able to come back to this area to visit family and make a quick run to the beach year round and be able to have a piping hot fried dough! By far, Happy’s makes the best, uses the best ‘grease’…errrr. OIL. LOL, but seriously, it tastes great, and not super greasy. There may be some in Hampton that might be a bit fatter, but for Salisbury, Happy’s is best.
