Finding a trustworthy mechanic is like winning the lottery and my numbers just came up., Mr. Higgins has a wealth of experience in Subaru repair, and he and his staff fixed my ten-year-old Outback for a fraction of what the dealer here in Charlotte would charge. Don’t expect a fancy lounge or anything like that. Just expect professional, honest service. Pro tip: there is a train from Salisbury to Charlotte and back which you can take if your car needs to be dropped off.

Did a clutch job on my WRX. They ran into some problems with some of the parts being stubborn on my car but they finished it and their labor is fairly cheap. Great guys that know their Subarus for sure. Only complaints I have is they didn’t use fender mats while working so my fenders were pretty greasy and dirty when I got it back and it took a couple extra days because they were busy it seemed. They should definitely expand/clean up the shop but hey, he’s been there for ~30 years so he’s definitely doing something right.

Higgins knows Subaru. Dealership wanted $ 95 an hour, JUST to find out what was wrong with our 2000 Outback. Jimmie diagnosed and repaired it., INCLUDING the parts for $ 60. He has a LARGE collection of Salvage vehicles for parts if you need them. Not all mechanics get better the longer they are in business… I believe Jimmie has.

This is the best Subaru repair shop in Piedmont NC. Hands down. The owner and operator, Jimmie, has tons of experience with Subarus and can diagnose any problems your car may be having. Service is always outstanding and his prices are excellent. I have been going to Jimmie with all four of my Subarus, two of which I bought from him, for over ten years now. A greater mechanic cannot be found anywhere. I highly recommend him and his staff.
