Staples the Office Superstore

Worst store in NC never go if you see the review. Very rude attitude and really bad service.

Surprised by the fact that Salisbury has such a nice Staples. Typically, in smaller towns, you’ll find limited selections of certain items… not at this location. They pretty much have everything you need and a good selection to boot… check out their tablet accessories, they’ve got quite a few.

It was an experience.
Perhaps he was a fill in. Obviously he didn’t know his new software. I asked what format is required to make this easy. Yes, jpeg is fine. Color business cards, printed better than I can do at home. That was the goal. I am familiar with my page layout software and I was assured that they could gang them for output with no problem. I finally got what I came for but oh my, was it a struggle. He didn’t know that positioning could be adjusted by typing in directly. He only knew the jog buttons that were set too coarsely. I finally got behind the counter to play around while he waited on another customer that needed lamination that he apparently knew how to do and we didn’t know just how much longer it was going to take to get the results I was looking for. It was easy once I understood the problem. No discount though. So If you have an original idea you could try printing at Staples store #0881, but you may have to help them set up their equipment. Good final output.

Unless my English language is getting worse by the minute, I thought when I said no I mean «NO». And what part of «NO» do you not understand? This all started just the other day when I visited the Staples in nearby Salisbury NC.
My printer had basically bit the dust so it was time to get a new one. Since Unilocal as far as I know does not have product reports on printers I went to Consumer Report I have had pretty good luck using them from time to time they tell how good a «What ever «is and how much it costs, it seems that in many cases you do not have to pay top dollar to get good quality.
Ok your basic printer I am not publishing a book nor am I trying to forge dollar bills. Just a basic 3 in 1 OK got it HP they even had a $ 50.00 instant rebate bringing it lower than the Walmart (Which I would never go back in anyway after my last experience)
So off we go to Staples get the printer one of the associates that was working that department asked me if I wanted the service contract I said no very politely .Even the BBB will tell you they are a rip off so he says again «the service contract is only $$» I said No again I was getting very annoyed and all the while thinking they must get a huge bonus for selling these.
I walked to the next aisle looking at the price on the cartridges I turn around and here is Mr «Do you know what the Hel. No means?» And you got it he says again «you would be better off getting the service contract» I looked at him and (I really am a patient person) said «did you not hear me?» he said nothing so I turned the volume up in my voice about 3 notches to make sure that customers nearby could hear and said «Did you not hear me tell you that I did not want your service contract 4 times ago when you asked me?»
He said very quietly and walked away «I guess not» So now my new printer works great without the Service contract that he was so insistent on so he could get his bonus on…
