Uncle Bucks closed as of December 20th so don’t waste your time with this. Story is they retired from the restaurant business.

Not a fan. Only burger option besides fast food. Went there twice and won’t return. None of the food we had is that good. Bar is fine, nice bartenders. Go for a drink. Skip the food.

Last year I was visiting Uncle Bucks regularly and my family and I loved it. We had one REALLY bad experience and instead of posting it I contacted the owner directly. He was very nice and because of the way he handled it we decided this week to go back in and give Uncle Bucks another try. After sitting for 10 minutes we had not been greeted so I found the person who sat us and let them know. Then I watched him bus two tables and sit more people while my kids cried about how thirsty they were. After another 5 minutes we left because no one had ever greeted us. 3 different waitresses walked by our table without making any effort to speak to us. Uncle Bucks has gone downhill and I would not recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for overpriced burgers, slow service and poor management. have at it.

In the biker community, you learn real fast who is what, and who is not… This is, something of an enigma. Food is decent, it is, what it is. A bar that serves food, and its basically bar food… meaning no, you wont find a 5 star rating on anything on the menu, and its not carb nor calorie friendly, but it will suit its purpose and you can have a couple of decent beers while you are at it. Its LOUD, real loud… almost too loud. We stop here when in the area, simply because its different everytime. If you are like us, hardcore bikers, who ride as long as there is no ice on the ground, and even then, sometimes you have to, then you will understand the next part… Its a wannabe biker bar, that caters to those who want to dress in HD gear, and talk about the bike that they own, back home in the garage when its 85 outside… Somedays you walk in and feel like you are the outcast, with a bunch of yuppies sitting around with $ 500 in Harley gear on, but cant tell you what engine is in a Ultra CVO… other days, you are the only HD rider in the place with a few Hondas out front, and then, there are those days you go in and its like… yea…we are gonna be a while here… hence, the enigma of the atmosphere. Ive noticed that it seems to be full normally of locals, who seem to frown on large groups of out of towners coming in, and the men seem to hold their women a little tighter when a group of Ultra riders come in… rumor has it that the Ghostriders hang out here, but I havent seen a cut, nor anyone that seemed to fit the bill of that… just alot of wannabes with women who get dizzy when they hear a real bike pull up… That said… we spend alot of time here, people watching, and talking alot of smack but so far, its just a fun stop on the way back to Charlotte or on the way to DC or wherever.

The food at Uncle Buck’s is decent. I’m not terribly impressed, the flavors are OK. However, I’m a fan of this place because the atmosphere is just so cool. I’m glad Salisbury has a place like this where people can just go drinks and be merry with decent food. It makes me feel like I’m in a bigger city.

Fantastic service! We had the grilled chicken with onions and peppers, bacon Mac cheese, fries and cheese. The Reuben on rye is killa! Not to mention the live music. Fun times…

I had lunch with my co-workers this day. When I entered, the staff was full of cute smiling faces and it was a large place that I would expect to be a lot of fun during the evening hours. For my inaugural meal, I did not use a menu. I asked my server to bring me something that she liked. She came back with a plate of rice drowning in con queso with chunks of chicken and bacon in it. Who does this? The queso was very thin and bland, the chicken had little flavor, but the bacon was crisp and bacony. Fortunately, my first impression was of the cool looking spot and the staff and not the meal, so I will give it another shot.

2 – 3 years ago I would have given Uncle Bucks a 5 star review. I loved it so much I wanted to eat there 2 – 3 times a month! Since the move I’m not sure what has happened, but the food has gone down hill and the service has taken a hit as well. There is only one server still there that was there 3 years ago and she busts her butt for her customers but the rest don’t seem to know exactly what they are doing.

The food has changed and the new menu is GREAT and the food is awesome however when a band is playing it is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too loud. When we got here the place was crowded and the opening band was AWESOME, they were acoustic and it was great… But when the main band came on and started almost the whole place cleared out bc it was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think much less eat… Absolutely HORRIBLE ace to have a live band and dinner … TONEITDOWN and I promise you can get MORE business for a Friday night.

When I come home to Salisbury for the holidays, Uncle Buck’s is number one on my list of things to revisit. The good is great and the beer is cheap. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Ok — I will give it a solid two star rating! I must rate this based on what it is — a bar that tries to serve food. We were a party of four hungry men — my steak was very good — no seasoning because that’s what I wanted, but my colleagues steak — same kind was horrible — he could barely eat it. The fries were ok, but the veggies — well they looked and tasted like they either came out of a can a few days ago or they had been picked fresh from the freezer and sauteed for a few days. The parking isn’t good, but then again — any place on the street would have the same issue. The pricing was within reason, but nothing to brag about and the mashed potatoes had flavor, but I’m not sure what that flavor really was. Cleanliness — let me repeat — it’s a bar — and as most bars are — not very clean. The bathrooms shouldn’t really be discussed while eating — unless the smell of urine with your fries is to your liking. Would I ever go back — probably not, but if I did — I’d order beer out of a bottle — no glasses. However, the ice cream, which isn’t made there is fantastic!

Very loud but the atmosphere is awesome. Great stage for live music and the food is delicious. Any burger will do the trick.

If you are a wannabe biker this place is for you. Bad food and bad beer make for an even worse combination.

The rating is based on food ordered only– service was a bit slow for hardly anyone being in there, but the waitstaff was cordial. If you love ribs, do not get them here. Also, the chipotle mac & cheese is seriously jalapeño hot… so if that’s your thing, order away. If not, beware.

My favorite stop when I’m in Salisbury. Typical sports bar; greasy food, beer & liquor, loud!

I love their fried pickles. they have a great dill flavor. I have had friend pickle other places and they don’t taste like the pickle. I also think they have good burgers and hot dogs. Love the home made chips. It can get very busy at lunch time and during the summer at dinner time. We have always had good service, especially Steven and Crystal! I wouldn’t say it is the best food in the world… salads are just icebeg lettuce. But I would recommend the wraps, burgers, dogs, fried pickles and the quesadillas. Sometimes it can be loud in there, I think it is because of the high ceilings and we have been in there at times with many kids. A fun place!

Let me just say first — that I love the extensive menu, and the character it gives Uncle Buck’s. Describing menu items using words like«maters» makes the menu more fun to read. Burgers, Wraps, Sandwiches, Appetizers, the list goes on, and they’ve got a lot of unique combinations. And though I enjoyed my ‘surf and turf’ burger-with shrimp on it, there was something lacking. Maybe it was the over use of «smoke flavor» or the over battered fried pickles. But the menu lost luster after the food arrived. I’ve been here twice and was even more disappointing the second time after a tragic run in with a BBQ Salad. Sadly I will not be returning-maybe it’s me, but I think the menu is so wide in variety that they lost the focus on quality. Sometimes, less is more.

It’s a neighborhood sports bar in historic Salisbury. Some of the food is greasy, a lot of it is fried. No kidding, it’s a sports bar! The menu is silly with some form of pirate speak, but prices are reasonable. If you want loads of veggies and gourmet digs, back away slowly. However, if you’d like some fried pickles and a burger, they’re a great choice. The stuffed quesadilla is delicious and more than enough for a meal. Sides are decent, too. Sweet potato fries with honey mustard and jalapeño hushpuppies are highlights. I will say that the best selections on the beer menu are fat tire and blue moon. And they don’t have a rack full of quality liquors. However, there are other choices in the area that make up for that if you want something a bit more high brow. Having said that, the service is great, they don’t mind shifting around tables to accommodate a group and they seem to really be interested in fostering a community spirit in the area. I’ve never had my order mixed up or experienced anything less than a positive vibe here.
