Delicious. The bread on one of the bocata sandwiches(Israeli pita?)is really good. Had a side of the Israeli cous cous too which was tasty. Portions are big and filling. Prices reasonable. They should add a whole wheat option for the bocata bread… give customers more healthy options please.

I work in downtown SLC and this place is my FAVORITE lunch spot– I eat here at least 1 – 2 times per week. I seem to share the same enthusiasm as other workers in the downtown SLC area, as the line for this place is always the longest one in the City Creek food court. And for good reason too! Great fresh, delicious, healthy, flavorful food that is prepared right in front of you and FAST too. The fresh baked bocata bread is baked right in front of you in the restaurant’s stone hearth brick oven(same kind of oven used to bake pizzas– its sister restaurant is Settebello’s Pizzeria a few blocks over, which I also highly recommend) and it is to die for. And they have a rewards program! LOVETHISPLACE.

Love the food at Bocata. So many delicious sandwiches I can’t pick a favorite. Used to work in the mall and ate there every day. Now I make a point of going there at least once a week. Yummy

Disappointing. Ordered cuban bocata. The bread was partially either very dry or soaked and soggy with the juices from the pickled red onions and jalapeños(no attempts to allow the juices to drain before placing them on the sandwich). Sandwich was made in a messy fashion with poor distribution of ingredients. Meat also lukewarm/cold. Had such high hopes with all the favorable reviews.

This place is really good. We enjoyed the food we got. Pricing is good and the food is well seasoned and delicious. Will keep in mind if we are ever at City Creek again.

This was my first time here. I ordered half a lamb bocata(sandwich) with the tomato soup. Both were delicious with rich flavor. I’m glad I only got the half-bocata because it was huge! I could barely finish it(but did, because it was so good) so there’s no way I would have been able to eat a whole one. The service was good as well, and fast.

I was doubtful because it’s In a food court. I’m confused now as to why it is. There is nothing about this that doesn’t belong in a stand alone store. Fresh baked bread, wonderful toppings… Wow.

Bocata is definitely not your typical mall food court eatery. they bake fresh bread and use the freshest of ingredients making for some top notch flavors. And though the sandwiches look thin, they’re pretty filling with a drink. Their Cuban pork is my favorite so far and one of the best I’ve had. a real flavor explosion. I’ve been eating here literally since day one, and the line has gotten longer here since then. But the wait is worth it, and they always greet you with a smile.

OMG! Wonderful Cuban sandwich! Very very delicious on fresh baked bread. I did not expect such deliciousness from a «food court» diner. Highly recommend this place! The sides such a s salad were ok, stick with the sandwiches and you’ll be in heaven!

Found a new favorite the turkey and Havarti and the Italian market. The lamb was a bit dry maybe because we came 15 minutes before closing. Can’t wait to come back and try some different sandwiches. Can’t get over the fresh cooked bread, really changes the whole sandwich.

This is not your typical food court grub. Located in City Creek Center in the heart of Salt Lake City is a delicious sandwich shop. Bocata offers artisan sandwiches made with fresh baked bread. Everything is made from scratch here. The meats are brined, roasted and sliced in-house, and even the sauces and condiments are housemade. I was hesitant about eating at a sandwich place in a food court but Bocata is the real deal. The line here was the longest out of all the restaurants(always an excellent sign). You order your sandwich, soup, or salad and it’s made fresh right in front of your eyes(imagine Subway but with a Latin spin). The employees hand knead and toss the dough, and then the breads are baked in the storefront brick oven. I had my eyes set on the Cuban Pork sandwich based on the impressive reviews. My boyfriend opted for the BBQ chicken sandwich. Cuban Pork — citrus braised pork shoulder, pickled red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, aioli. The Cuban Pork is rubbed with cumin and orange zest before a long roast with citrus and sherry vinegar. BBQ Chicken — beer marinated chicken breast, housemade BBQ sauce, beehive cheddar, crispy shallots Our sandwiches were hot and the meats were juicy and tasty. The bread resembled baguettes with a crisp exterior and a soft, chewy interior. My Cuban Pork was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned – sweet, savory, and smoky. Although we were eating at a food court in a shopping mall, my sandwich transported me to a rustic patio somewhere in rural Spain. Portions are filling and for $ 8 a sandwich, Bocata is stellar!

Had a terrific meal here. Tomato soup was tangy and bursting with vegies, beet salad was spot on and perfectly balanced. Bread was hot and tasty and the service was simple and quick. The new standard in food court fare.

How have I never eaten here before? Oh that’s right! Because it’s in a food court. If you find yourself near City Creek, do yourself a solid and pick up a sandwich at Bocata. Caprese so tasty you’d never believe it was prepared in between a Sbarro and McDonald’s…sigh.

Flavors were good. Really good. Sandwich was not as hot as I would have liked. After a day walking around Salt Lake City, I stumbled into Bocata. Yes, it was in a Food Court, but apparently in Salt Lake around Temple Square, this isn’t your typical mall food court. It’s really nice, and all the places are good. This one may have been the best. The flavors were fantastic. I had the cuban sandwich. The bread is the real deal. The pork could have had more flavor, but the pickled beets and jalapenos were spot on. Filled me up right.

Not bad food court food. We had the $ 8 pulled Cuban pork sandwich and $ 7.50 beet salad, both were great tasting. Other food are priced around the same, definitely much better choice than the McDonalds next to it.

i’m working in salt lake city and found this because my coworker wanted to go to the Microsoft store. didn’t even realize there is a food court in the area and found this little gem of a spot. I was disappointed at first because the cashier couldn’t round out my pennies to give me back a nickel. she stupidly said sorry I already rang it up. i was going to say something but i just held my breath. and then my unsweetened ice tea was sweetened so I got to add another 200 calories to my diet. but my roasted pork bocata made up for the bad start. what drew me in was the fantastic brick oven baked bread stuff with a pesto sauce and slow roasted pork that just melted in my mouth. we’re coming back again tomorrow. I’m going to try the Cuban

The half bocata and soup or salad is such a great meal for lunch. I have been here several times and they are always good. The bocata bread is so good and freshly made in the wood fired over on premises. Thin so kind of like a flatbread but better. I have always loved Settebello Pizza and just realized they are sister restaurants. Makes sense why I like them so much.

First timer! The food court almost scared us away but decided to go for it after reading the menu. We ordered the drunken chicken, it was super good! Wishing the chicken was flavored a bit more but we scarfed it down. The grilled chicken, was phenomenal! I switched up the cheese to mozzarella, and it was perfect! Staff was super friendly. Have no idea why McDonald’s had a longer line… Have an open mind and try delicious food.

Oh god. This place surprised the hell out of me. No pictures on the menu, no customers standing in line– I was definitely hesitant to check it out but I am SO glad I did. I ordered the lamb bocata and the white bean soup. The bread had a lightly salted golden crust that was soft and airy when bitten into. The white bean soup was filled with bacon and kale. It wasn’t overly salted which is an issue I have with a lot of soups. It tasted comforting but also let me feel healthy because kale. The lamb bocata was delicious and by the time I finished my soup I could only finish half of the sandwich. They didn’t skimp on the meat at all and the yogurt sauce with cilantro on top made it taste crisp and fresh. I saved the rest for lunch the next day and it tasted even better than when the bread was fresh out of the oven. It didn’t get a bit soggy or wilted which is an issue I have with left over sandwiches. Delicious, addicting, and definitely going back for more.

Seriously the best sandwiches ever. If you haven’t tried it, you must. Everything tastes so fresh for«fast food». Which I hate to categorize it that way. They bake their own bread daily in a brick oven. The salads always taste very fresh as well. Just think fresh. They make the best BLT in town and probably one of my favorites ever. Did I forget to mention there’s a fried egg in it? So much flavor going on! Their Cuban pork sandwich is my second favorite. That one is just sinfully delicious. Everything else is great too. You can’t go wrong. Although I wish they would warm the peppers in the turkey havarti. The chicken salad is great and huge. I usually have to save it for later. Also try the half side and Bocata with the pear salad. Ask for the citrus dressing. The best one. I work in the same building and this place is my favorite in the food court. I’m addicted! The people are great too!
