Decent at best. Got the not so Kobe beef stroganot so good. Maybe I’m just grumpy cause I was starving. It was heavy and felt reheated. The schnitzel seemed to be pretty good. Fish and chips were a no no from my dad as expected.

We had bought a Groupon for this place and decided to try it. When checking in on Unilocal didn’t get very good reviews, and I got concerned. There wasn’t very many people in the restaurant, which also gave us concern. However, the three of us tried three different entrées. I have the beef stroganoff, another person had a schnitzel, and another had the roast to trout. All of the food was expertly prepared. All was very tasty. The service was fast and staff was very friendly. We had no problems whatsoever. I would definitely give this place a try. We would definitely return!

Schnitzel was super thin and fried too a crisp Moldy bread on a sandwich. Won’t be returning.

Ugh I bought another Groupon to this place in hopes that maybe they just had a bad day last time I visited. Everything, again, was just extremely mediocre. I honestly would have been happier going to Denny’s. I want so badly for Boulevard Bistro to be good… they have so much potential! It’s in a great location near the university and the décor is beautiful. The poor food quality just doesn’t cut it, though.

Wow, it has been a long time since I was this disappointed in a restaurant. I live out of town and had heard rave reviews from family in Salt Lake City so I was anxious to try this place out. The first indication of trouble should have been that there were only two tables occupied at 6:30 on a Friday night. On a bright side, service was excellent since hardly anyone was in the place. I reviewed the menu and was impressed with the selection. I love barbecue chicken pizza so I decided to give it a shot even though there were more interesting items available. I also ordered the Tomato Basil Soup. The soup came in a nice presentation but was luke warm. It tasted overly sweet and had the consistency of a slushy. I gave them a pass thinking maybe that is the way they do it here. After an oddly long wait, my pizza showed up. The wood fired crust was only partially done, the sauce was too sweet, the chicken… oh the chicken was rubbery and tasted like it had been defrosted and tossed on the pizza. It actually was room temperature. A few red onions and un-melted cheese topped off what I can say was the worst pizza I had ever tried in my life. No, I did not finish it.

The first time I went here it was delicious! I ordered the fish tacos and then I ordered the crème brûlée and it was amazing! But then I came back, ordered the same thing and it was very different the second time around. The crème brûlée wasn’t cooked all the way through and the presentation wasn’t good at all. When you spend an upwards of $ 20 for lunch, I would hope they would be a little more consistent.

First time I’ve submitted a review of a restaurant and wanted to save anyone out there from making the same mistake I did! Hands down the worst food I’ve had in some time. Pork Schnitzel deep fried way too long and rivaled leather. Tasteless lasagna a mush of cheese and noodles. Don’t waste your time or money, I lost a quick $ 50.

Excellent food and service. The manager, Amanda, offers great service. We love the brunch! The salmon Benedict with pesto hollandaise sauce is killer! This place is a must try! Great ambiance as well!

Had a very nice evening here. Came for a quick dinner and it is close by and not crowded. We are on the patio and our sever was extremely helpful! She Made great recommendations based on our vegetarian limitations and was familiar with the very nice wine list – I had a lovely sparkling Pinot noir. My beet salad was good but overdressed and the Parmesan truffle fries were delicious, but could have been crisper. I would come back again for sure.

Kobe beef stroganoff; pizza; salads and gnocchi are excellent! Not sure why this place is not packed every day. Service is great and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Ate here Jan 16th2015. I would give this place 6months before they are out of business. The food is grossly overpriced for the Quality. Which I assume they have to do because there isn’t anybody actually in the restaurant. The only reason we came here was because taqueria 27’s wait was like 49mins… But that was a missive mistake. Bottom line, the food is bad, the prices are high, the decour is super cheese. It’s a once and never again spot.

Service was very very good, but it didn’t make up for the bland food. Calimari appetizer was tasteless and like thick rubber. The trout was so so. The clan pasta was tasteless except for the almost inedible amount of red pepper flakes. We sent back the rubber appetizer and the pasta. They gave us the pasta without the heat, and then it was bland. Doesn’t anyone taste this food before putting it on the menu? It’s a shame that such a beautiful restaurant in a great location has such sub-par food. Won’t be going back unless they make changes in their food or chef.

I had very high hopes for this place, but left with mostly disappointment. The manager was delightful, but unfortunately our server was quite the snob. We came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon around 3:00 and the place was completely empty. I ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy and was pleased, but when I had bites of the BLTA and the pepperoni pizza, I was underwhelmed. There is also nothing special about the salad, fries, or sweet potato fries that accompany the sandwiches. This place might be for you if you want a less-than-spectacular lunch.

We stopped in at the Boulevard Bistro one night on the spur of the moment. We just happened to be driving by! It was late and we were one of only two couples in the restaurant, which meant that our service was spot on! No waiting for drinks, refills or our check. :) I had the Margherita Pizza which was good, but nothing special. I have had better, but I’ve also had worse. My husband had the Boulevard Burger which he raved about! I had a bite and had to agree, it was pretty fabulous! We will definitely give Boulevard Bistro another try!

I can only assume this place will be out of business soon. Brunch food /service /selection was poor. Only thing good was 90s slow jam music.

Anytime you’re the only table at brunch on a Sunday says a lot. Service was subpar and the food was comprable to that of a place 1⁄3 the price. Other than the smooth jams, I will not be coming back.

Boulevard Bistro is modern inside and smartly furnished. We ate here for lunch the other day and enjoyed some great good and excellent service. I ordered the turkey club and my wife had the fish and chips. Both were excellent. With my turkey club I had their french fries and the fries were delicious! Seriously. They were great fries! For desert I splurged and had the triple berry and blood orange gelato,(one scoop of each) — which was very tasty and had the perfect amount of sweetness. If you eat here please get the gelato, you will thank me! Our server was excellent as I mentioned before. He was friendly and attentive, making sure our drinks were refilled and we had everything we needed. I would love to come back to the Boulevard Bistro for brunch sometime on a weekend. I really liked this restaurant! I’m happy to have found a new favorite in Salt Lake City.

I’ve been to Boulevard Bistro for dinner a couple of times. This is a HUGE upgrade from the Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse that used to live here, but it’s still 3 stars, at best. The newly renovated décor is beautiful. The ambiance is great and the wait staff are all decked out in nice uniforms. We were greeted very politely and seated quickly on both visits. On our most recent visit we sat on the patio and it was phenomenal! That’s a huge plus. This place is not cheap for dinner, especially compared to the adjacent place within the same building. Dinner entrees will set you back anywhere from $ 13(burger and fries) to $ 25+ with the average around $ 19. The food has been somewhat hit and miss, but I guess I can give them a pass for being so new and going through some growing pains. On my first visit I had a steak and it was terrible. It was a bad cut of meat with way too much gristle and was cooked into oblivion. But when I let them know, they took it off our bill, which was a very classy move. I won’t hold the steak against them, since I didn’t eat it or pay for it. On our most recent visit, Lisa and I both had the burger. It’s delicious… one of the best burgers in town. But Lisa’s was so rare in the middle that I’m pretty sure I heard it MOO when she cut it in half. The menu is great, the décor and setting are wonderful, the patio is perfect. The chef just needs to focus and get better at executing the menu items and Boulevard Bistro will be a go-to place in the area.

There is a surprising number of 5 star reviews for this place but I’m with Hang W. Not bad but not fantastic either. I went for lunch over the weekend and I wasn’t super impressed. Between all of us, we had a Caesar salad, calamari, the steak sandwich, a couple of pizzas, a burger, and lasagna. I did like the Caesar salad. I’m a sucker for butter lettuce and the dressing was a little different than most places. A little more tart? I liked it. The calamari tasted a little frozen but I could appreciate the thinly sliced fried lemon. Yum. Everything else was pretty standard. The server talked up the lasagna because it had ground steak and said that I could tell the difference. Maybe my palate isn’t refined enough because I couldn’t tell. But it wasn’t bad. The best entrée was probably the burger. All in all, the food was decent. Nothing was terrible or even bad. But nothing stood out to me either, especially for those prices. I will say the server we had was really great. I think her name was Joy. She was helpful and really sweet.

I guess if you want a nice place without spending a whole lot, this is good enough for this area. You get really good service, nice linens and well presented food. This is a good spot to take a client out for lunch or perhaps a nice date. This isn’t the type of place I would regularly go to for lunch, a bit too fancy for me from that standpoint. The food was pretty bland. The bruschetta was flavorless but looked nice. It wasn’t terrible, but not memorable either. The fish n chips was nicely fried, it was a little bit on the oily side though. While I wasn’t disappointed nor was there anything really wrong with the fish, I probably wouldn’t order it again. For $ 13 I would have expected more but you’re paying for the whole package right? It is a bit expensive for lunch, more like a place you bring someone to where you need tablecloths and well dressed servers. It’s good mid range for this area.
