Super mom & poppy. Go back to junior/high and reminisce about going over to your girl friend’s house for dinner. Mom is in her tiny, humble kitchen, pouring her love into the foods she’s cooking. Curry Fried Chicken is exactly like this — home cooking. I loved it, especially for its homey, cultural character. I got the curry friend chicken plate and it was delicious. The chicken was small, but it was juicy and flavorful. The sides that accompanied were good, but I’m not a big fan of carbs on carbs(the plate came with rice and pita), so I think I’ll just get the chicken next time. I would definitely recommend. The only thing that’s keeping me from giving this place a 5 is that there was only 1 person working, so she was taking the orders and preparing the food. Luckily, we we’re the first party to arrive before the wave, so we were able to get our food pretty quick.

We came early and were the first customers for lunch, and the one guy there was nice and helpful. The food took a little longer to get to us, perhaps because we came so early, but while we were waiting he brought out some naan bread and hummus that was fantastic. I was excited to try the super rice with the lentils, but that day they did some kind of black eyed pea instead. I was fine, but I imagine with the lentils is better. The shwarma wrap I got was also tasty. The price was decent, but I guess I would have liked to see a little more food for the price or maybe a little lower price. If you like middle eastern food, you should check this place out!

Twice in two weeks. We went the first time and then we couldn’t wait too long before hitting it again. What a great little restaurant! And I’m not just talking about the highly mesmerizing Bollywood trailers that are guaranteed entertainment on their TV while you eat. We have had both the fried chicken and the shwarma. Portions are big. Food has been excellent both times. I think that what we liked most was the level of freshness. I’m pretty sure everything is made from scratch(with maybe the exception of the pita bread?) which makes the level of freshness and taste very commendable. It’s small and quaint and I love the feeling I get while I eat of a family dining room with the random dining tables and chairs. We feel good about the food, the people who run the place and the restaurant as a whole making for the perfect eating experience. We will keep coming back.
