I love this bar! It is definitely a diamond in the rough. They have amazing karaōke on Fridays and its never so full you can’t get a song in.(You can get 5 or 6 songs in if you’re feeling frisky) plus the guy that runs the karaōke is an awesome dude. He has a barcode for you to scan with your barcode app on your phone for a list of all the current songs that aren’t in the book(and you don’t have to share one book with the entire bar because you each have your own list on your phone)! They have a huge selection of songs too! The lady working the door is a sweet heart and is very diligent on warning you about a slight ramp in the floor on the way to the bathrooms so you don’t trip and break your neck. The drinks are moderately priced and the waitresses are super sweet! The place is huge and since its never full there’s enough room to cut a rug if you want to! I will definitely be frequenting this bar on Fridays!

LOVE Wendy, Brett and Cinda! GINO’s is a place when you’re looking for a good time and get away they make you feel part of their gino’s family! They want you to have a fun night and get home safe so you can come back again! The best part of karaōke is getting to hear the good bad & ugly!!! Makes it entertaining!

Oh goodness, what a night I had at Gino’s this past weekend. I was invited to attend a birthday celebration with my brother for his coworkers, and it was an experience for sure. First off, I should say I don’t drink often and when I do, its over a nice dinner in a relaxing environment. My ex is a bartender and during our 4 year stint, I was forced to occupy the dive-y-est of bars and at one point we even worked together at a sports bar. So being around drunk people in bars has no appeal to me, but my brother wanted me to be there so I agreed. It was a busy Saturday night, and there was no parking whatsoever in their«lot» so we parked on State Street and walked around to the back door our ears being delighted by the sounds of someone singing an old 80’s rock tune off key. The older lady at the door was very sweet and warned us about the slope to the bathroom. We navigated our way across the room, past the dance floor to our party near the back wall and took in our surroundings. The chairs are old school fake leather, the booths running behind us were the same sort of material. The ceiling is painted black, and the carpet is pretty gross looking. I had to pee several times and was treated to the delights of having your stall door not being over shoulder height so you look people directly in the face as you go in and stand up after doing your deed. Also the locks to the flimsy doors have a slide lock that goes directly into a hole in the cement wall. The cobwebs dangle threateningly overhead as you pee, teasing you with the idea of falling into your hair as you sit on a wobbly toilet trying to keep your balance. The drinks were fair in price, and they came to us pretty quickly. My husband had 4 blue moons, I had a tequila sunrise, and 2 red headed sluts, it was around $ 20 so it wasn’t a totally bad experience. I had a good time cheering on the people singing, some good some awesomely bad. Plus I got to dazzle the room with my musical talents and feel like a rock star.

Oh the sweet, sweet sound of singing patrons over a PA system. Sounds like a goat being slaughtered as Cranberries blast from the speaker, almost as horrible as the original. This place is huge, which makes the lack of people even more apparent. I don’t know if this place is ever popping, but this night it was not. It was pretty lonely honestly. Nothing worse than an empty bar with people singing karaōke and not even have anyone to face the performer and listen. I’m going to go slit my wrists. I also loved the dark, wet, safe alleyway that you get to park in behind this joint.

Ohh Gino’s. Only one review and a bad one at that but I think you’re a diamond in the rough. You share a parking lot with the Dawg Pound and it’s all kind of sketch but sometimes sketch is what we want. The door lady is hilarious and quick to tell you about the serious slope in the floor on the way to the bathroom. The blond waitress isn’t entirely on top of it but she’s got enough personality to make up for it. Clearly most of the people who go to Gino’s are regulars. Small crowd but a lot of fun. Drinks aren’t the cheapest; I would expect cheaper at a dive bar. But all in all, we had a grand time!

The first thing I fell in love with was the gal checking IDs at the door. So sweet, and she made sure that we didn’t injure ourselves on the way to the bathroom. Don’t tell anybody, but even after she mentioned the slope in the floor, I was still somewhat unprepared and may or may not have almost tripped anyway, but this is not their fault, so I’m including it only an a charming anecdote and I did not dock them a star for it. Um, actually the real first thing I fell in love with was the address on state street. Then the fact that you park in a field. Then the fact that there is not a front door. THEN the sweet lady at the door. Then the fact that the Diet Coke that got mixed with my Jack came from a two-liter bottle. Maybe that’s why the drinks aren’t very cheap? Each one is expertly hand crafted? Like Vi mentioned, Blondie the waitress wasn’t the quickest or the most tuned in, but holy hell, she is entertaining. She can rock out like nobody’s business and I would be lying if I said I didn’t tip her extra for being kind of magical. I think this place is for the serious karaōke enthusiast who doesn’t want his or her friends to really know they are into karaōke so hard core. I decided this mostly based on the Jersey Shore cast member who performed a lot the night we were there and seemed like a regular, however out of place my judgmentalist mind wanted to perceive him to be at a karaōke bar. I will for sure be back. I mean, I hope I will. We had lots of fun and there is a nicely sized dance floor in front of the stage. And that’s important. Like really, really important.
