I have been the person to take people to Gracie’s or go meet up with sometimes up to 25 people at Gracie’s for a long time. Always telling people I meet about it and encouraging them to go there. After the last two times I won’t even think about going there or recommending it again. It’s been about the last year that it has been declining, the foods gotten to where I make sure to eat before going, the staff is avoidable because they are so busy which is only good because the only good one I know of works upstairs at the bar, and now I can’t even get in. The last two times I’ve gone to Gracie’s I’ve been turned away at the door. One time being completely sober so this isn’t a lack of my judgement at all. Both times I’ve been with a group and it’s been because the same person has told me «you know the dress code, you can’t come in with long tees» both times my response has been this is a sweater or this is a button up shirt(because I’ve never been wearing a long tee). The individual goes from 1 – 10 really quick with his temper and just tells me to leave. Both times it’s been as I go to pay the cover and both times I’ve talked to more than one other security guard before this individual comes in and starts yelling. The thing is last night I even talked to his manager and the shirt I was wearing was short enough you could see my normal length undershirt where the side seems meet the bottom seem. To make matters worse I asked what the dress code is or if he could explain what his understand was of the dress code(maybe the shirt can’t go pass your fingertips which mind didn’t but like its some high school dress code or something and it’s definitely not on the webpage) so that I could make sure to be decently within his standards next time and he avoids the question. I can understand using that if I’m trashy or wearing a pro club tee but for hells sake it’s been a sweater or a button up and I’m definitely a clean cut looking guy. Usually as I’m walking to the car I can see multiple offenders of the dress code that seems to only apply to me which is frustrating. Me and my friends will never be back. And if I do I’ll make sure my shirt is so tight you can see my nips like half the roid rage ronnies you let in. Another thing is I’ve seen some messed up things from employees there. One is the sanitary issues of people either not washing their hands as they are in a bathroom with customers or eating while they are serving. The most disgusting thing I saw was a security guard about a year ago making out and groping an intoxicated woman on the back Patio while he was working. And yes he’s still working there because I saw him last night and no he isn’t the person that dress codes me. There is the many reasons I won’t be back, and neither will my friends because once inside they found that everyone one else was just as awful as security. Hope you

We went there last night and the first part of the night was a blast we sat upstairs at this side bar and had some food and a couple drinks and the bartender was really nice I believe people were calling him Doddy. Then we decided to check the rest of the place out and went down stairs to the dance floor! My best friend wanted to request a song so we went to the DJ and as soon as we got there the security guard pretty much clotheslined us and told us we couldn’t talk to the DJ we had to talk to him. Which I understand but I think there is another way to go about it so then I asked him if he could let the DJ know we wanted to listen to a certain song and if he gets around to it that would be cool and thank you. The DJ nodded and we walked away an hour later I hadn’t heard the song yet so we decided to go over again thinking maybe he forgot which is also understandable and the security guard this time was really rude and pretty much yelled in my face. I get that people get drunk and they probably get requests all night but if you can’t handle the job then don’t do it. Learn some respect and don’t yell at your guests for something so simple and innocent. So I asked for another security guard to come over, keyword«I» asked for another security guard to come over because I felt like he was very disrespectful and as soon as that security guard came over he kicked me out. He didn’t let me talk he just said this guy said you did something so your done. I just shook my head and walked toward the front. As I got up to the front I asked to talk to a manager and the guy at the front told me he was a manager and since those security guards said I did something I’m gone and he doesn’t care!!! All I did was request a song! I mean us girls not only paid a cover charge which I could have cared less about until it was wasted because god forbid we request a song! I will not return as well as tell everyone I know how big of a joke this place was!!!

Really neat place! My boss took a few of us out for a nice dinner then over to Gracie’s for drinks/dancing. Drinks were fairly priced. Service was consistently good. Restrooms were clean as was the entire establishment. There was a very nice looking and spacious outdoor patio with heaters and fireplaces that was open too. Mostly smokers were using it as it was a bit chilly out in Salt Lake last night. Around 12am the dance floor was so packed you could no longer move. The DJ was consistent and very good. We had a great time and will be back!

Love, love, love Gracie’s. Best bar food around and the atmosphere is very fun. The service takes a while and that’s why I gave it a 4 star.

First off the parking. They have a lot. They will tell you it’s free or don’t worry about it or some nonsense. Then some jackasses go out and but fake parking tickets on your car. Second the food. It’s not good. My chicken Marsala looked like it was from a college cafeteria. The mashed potatoes are terrible. My wife had some salmon salad. The salmon was terrible. Also they put these huge kale garnishment on everything. I know kale is super cool right now but don’t cover the whole plate in kale. The only reason to give 2 stars is they serve food after 10 pm.

Hello all. I hope this review finds someone who can relate or has shared a similar experience. First off, I want to say I am a human and not a paragraph on Unilocal looking to get«likes» or anything of that nature. I took my girlfriend to Gracie’s because I wanted to take her to a nice club/bar in the downtown area where we can simply enjoy our night. I was greeted by the bouncer outside who checked our ID’s and made me aware that they don’t allow jerseys. I was completely fine with that and understood their rules. We then entered so that we can pay to get inside. The guy at the counter(a caucasian male) was very rude telling me to take off my jersey immediately. Instead of asking me politely, he was telling me in a rude manner. I’m not one to bring race up as a topic, but I definitely felt like it was in a demeaning way, assuming I had something to hide under the jersey because of the color of my skin. I paid the 10 $ cover charge with a credit card for me and my date reluctantly. He was mumbling slurs under his breath because of the fact it took me so long to take off my jersey. I felt as if they were racially motivated and he wouldn’t have gotten so upset if my skin was of a lighter hue. You know that feeling you get when you know somebody is being rude deliberately? That’s the vibe I got. I asked if I needed to sign anything because at this point I was upset by the customer service of this gentlemen. He told me no which is sort of strange because I never heard of a place accepting a credit card without having you sign a reciept. We entered and me and my girlfriend didnt like the vibe inside so we decided to leave within 2 minutes of us entering. When I turned in my ticket to receive my jersey back, the same guy threw it on the counter without making eye contact or saying anything to me. And then we left and I was beyond upset. This is by far the worst service I have ever received at an establishment. I understand it’s a nightclub and they have a job to do. I have been to plenty; I get that. But for him to treat me like he did and have the tone of voice he had with me, definitely set off an alarm. I don’t know what he was saying under his breath but I was able to decipher them out as derogatory/racial remarks. I highly UNrecommend this place and I will never come here again. All I was doing was trying tp have a fun night out on the town. I hope this is helpful to somebody else reading because it aint even about the 10 $. It’s the principal and I want my voice to be heard thay discrimination is not acceptable on any level. If I could rate this less than 1 star I would, because 1 star is being highly generous.

Gracie’s, upon outward appearance, looks like a hole-in-the-wall dive. But upon entering and taking a peek at the menu, they are anything but divey! Our experience, as out-of-towners, was a memorable one and it was hard not to go back to Gracie’s for every meal while we were there! Food: THEIRBUTTERNUTSQUASHSOUPIS A MUST. It’s thick, sweet, and very rich without being crazy-heavy on the calories. We also got the quinoa wrap, which was surprisingly filling, along with a side cup of French onion soup. Their menu is surprisingly diverse, and it was hard not to want to order everything on it! Can’t wait to return for a brunch next time! Drinks: Their bloody mary’s are amazing. They’re spicy and loaded with the goods. Atmosphere: Dark and fun on the downstairs, and filled with games and fun upstairs. Gracie’s has it all! Service: The bartender was amazing. She was friendly, helpful, and super nice! Happy Hour Offerings: n/a Healthy Hack: The quinoa wrap! What a treat that fills you up without a ton of calories. Tips: n/a

This place is so slow to wait on you. They are not all that busy tonight yet. I did get hooked up with a really nice server. Not his section but he looks to be carrying the place(James is his name). With James in action I was able to order one of the best Bison Burgers I think I have ever eaten. This is a pretty cool place. They have some live jazz music going on. Pretty well mixed crowd. I give this place 4 stars. 3 of witch are based on the excellent service James/Connor gave.

This review is for the bar/dancing experience. The people that work at the entrance are always really pleasant. There is a cover charge and often a line. The crowd is an interesting mix and I’ve never had any issues or uncomfortable moments. The reason for my mediocre rating sits solely with the bar service. It takes forever to get a drink at the«main» bar areas. If you find your way to the more distant, smaller ones it is significantly better but it is very frustrating when you are hanging out near to the larger ones. The bartenders are never rude but not particularly friendly, either. The music on Saturday nights is fun and it is our go-to place for dancing! The patios are nice and you can escape the chaos of the dancing area very easily. Overall, we visit here occasionally and when I go try the food I will update this considering that experience.

I used to LOVE Gracies brunch. And I haven’t been able to visit this place since moving. The last few times I was in Utah I always suggest coming here and we finally did a girls brunch to help with the previous nights Halloween festivities. Their food has fanatically gone down hill. I used to get the salmon Benedict which I found out the removed from the menu. I was more than disappointed abs instead chose the crab cake benedict. It was soggy and left a bad after taste. The potatoes it came with were over cooked. No one else at the table enjoyed their entrees they ordered either. The best part was the nacho appetizer. We also shared wings and they were undercooked. Mimosas were okay, but can you really mess those up? I mean cmon. We ended up getting over 10 rounds of shots and our waitress was not very attentive. It took a very long time for drinks to come out. Our last round she was no where to be found got over 20 min and we ended up just ordering at the bar. The bartender inside upstairs was no better. She had an attitude and it most likely would’ve killed her to Crack a smile. Seriously Gracies, get it together. The worst part was no one else wanted to come here and I talked them all into it.

The food here was very tasty. Although the picked were a little briny for my taste I loved the crisp, tempura-like batter on the fried pickles was perfect. It comes with two dipping sauces. The fry sauce is ok. But the dill mayo… wowzer! The soup was extra thick but I loved it. As for the pork chop. I substituted the offered chipotle mashed potatoes for garlic m.p. The glazed Granny Smith apples… I could have done without. But I don’t like sweet w/my meat. So the meat… that chop was tasty and juicy. Delicious! Our waitress, Pauli was attentive and simply great! Oooohhh… if you arrive after 5pm on a weekend or anytime Friday –Sunday you must sit on the roof(weather permitting I course). It’s great up there.

Great food and atmosphere! I had the Pretzle bites and they were very good, fluffy, and flavorful. I liked the cheese sauce that came with it, however, the mustard seed sauce wasn’t good at all, it was a little shocking to my taste buds. Over all though it’s a great appetizer, just no mustard sauce, yipes! I also had the Gracie’s burger, and that was so good! One of the best in town. The beef is cooked to order, and I asked them smash my beef patty a little extra, not a fan of thick meat. The beef was seasoned well, cooked well, and tasted fresh and seasoned. I defiantly enjoyed it! I also tried the the garlic mash potatoes, and let me just say, there are the bomb!!! Literally rocked my taste buds! I like this spot so i decided to finally give it a review. I’ll be back of course to hang out on the patio and enjoy good food. The customer service was great, and super friendly, gotta love that! The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is great.

I come into SLC about 3 times a year and I hit this place every time. Mainly for the nightlife and drinks. Get there early cause the line tends to get a little out of hand but if you have any nightlife experience you’ll figure a way to bypass the lines with a friendly handshake ;). Good music, indoor and outdoor seating areas. Fun for groups or just a couple of friends.

When I’m at Gracie’s, I commit for the night. Gracie’s isn’t a place to stop by; you have to stay for the food, fun, and people. There is ample seating both inside and outside. I love the outdoor patio when the weather is warm. The space is large and I usually can find a seat quickly, despite it always being busy. The music most nights is on point and the balance between too loud and too quiet is skillfully mastered at Gracie’s. My go-to entrée is the Curry Burger with the shoestring fries. Great combination of flavors and always filling. My last burger was not as good as previously but I’m hopeful that it was an isolated event. Gracie’s Signature Nachos are out of control in the best way possible. Warning! They are HUGE. Even the small order is huge. I’ve only attended Trivia Night once, but it was a fun time. Great attendance with great mini prizes. It is definitely on my list to return for another round. Gracie’s is definitely one of my favorite places to hangout in downtown.

Gracie’s is an above the grade sports bar. Great patio and inside for watching sports or hearing a band play. Food is very good the blackened salmon sandwich is cooked to perfection. Bison and Kobe beef burgers are fan favorites. A relaxing place to eat and have fun with friends.

I normally come here for a drink late in the day, so this was the first time i came here for lunch. Contrary to popular beliefs, they actually have a pretty decent lunch food that has nothing to do with alcohol(although you still have to show your ID to get into the restaurant). Mostly are bar type foods though, like sandwiches and wraps. I had Curry Burger today. It was good. It has caramelized onions that I always like. In In-N-Out, we call this Animal Style. The cheese was thick. Despite its name, I did not taste the curry flavor. I let Edwin tried it, and he mentioned there was a tiny bit curry flavor, but I think he just wanted to prove he has a better taste buds than me. He had the Steak Wrap. I tried his and I thought it was pretty decent. It was huge though. We also had Chicken Wings because I have been craving for them, Edwin said it was all I talked about the whole week. They were no Buffalo Wild Wings but enough to satisfy my crave. I have to point out that these food although good, are not the absolute best in town. The main advantage of this place(beside the booze) is their patio seatings, especially on the second floor patio. You don’t come here for gourmet burgers especially but for the whole experience, to suck up downtown living in a nice early summer day. Probably with a glass of beer or two.

5 stars for the music(Jazz band) It was what enticed me to come here as I was walking towards my fave vegan restaurant. I thought a little detour would be fun and to check out the menu. Service was 3 stars. Not friendly. Food 3 stars. I started with glass of wine and apps. The chips I ordered were stale. I decided to not go any further. Would come back for music and simple drinks.

One of my favorites downtown! I always have a good time here. They have both outdoor and indoor seating, bar, and music which is cool. Their bars get pretty busy here so it takes a while to get drinks. Most of the time it’s so busy it’s hard to maneuver and there is always a line for the bathroom. I believe tables are also first come, first served. I heard brunch is amazing so I definitely want to try. They have amazing nachos! Don’t forget there is a $ 5.00 cover fee at the door after 9:00. meh.

Gracie’s did a find job taking care of our 14 person group. Reservations are accepted, honored, and appreciated which is becoming a thing of the past at most places. I can’t tell if this is more restaurant or bar, but it was a nice meld. It felt like this is where the older crowd(us) came for dinner and a few drinks while the younger crowd stopped in for more of a «pre game» dinner before hitting the rest of the town. Beer selection was good, mixed drinks were great(the wife had a blackberry basil concoction that was to die for) and the food was excellent. Personally I ordered the Curry burger which was a little light on the curry flavor but was still excellent. Big and juicy, just the way it should be. The seafood Mac N Cheese was tasty and nobody had leftovers which tells you the food was good.

Came in for drinks and dinner with colleagues who were in from out of town. The atmosphere is casual and fun. The top floor patio is fantastic, as is the view. I ordered the Souvlaki which has its own rich pork belly, semi-sweet and perfectly portioned. It’s topped with cabbage, onions, red onions, and a tinge of garlic. On the side, some stringy fries and a perfect alotment of ketchup with your meal. Seems like everyone at the table enjoyed themselves and the food. It’s always a little nerve-wracking showing folks around, but Gracie’s is a great balance of Salt Lake friendliness(our server was so sweet!) and«down for the party» pub. Over some cocktails, it was awesome. There’s something on the menu for everyone no matter what your taste… If your corporate card is swaying you towards a glass of Pinot, that’s quite okay too… Pricing I think is also one of the many upsides, among others. Now I need to get back here for brunch.
