Lucero’s

I was seriously driving on a bald tire with wires poking out on the sides a couple weeks ago. I had a limited amount of cash but HAD to get a new tire. The young man who helped me gave me 2 options. A set of 2 tires for a little over $ 50, used but in decent condition. He also showed me a full set of used tires (as in, it looked like the previous owner drove on them for about a day) for $ 160. I had exactly $ 160 so I asked if they could let them go for $ 145 so I can afford tax and have $ 5 until payday. He said he’d have to ask his boss. He came back and said the boss said if I have cash he’ll do it for 150 including labor. It was a done deal and I was back on the road in 15 minutes with new tires (the set still had the rubber nubs on the sides) and $ 10 left in my pocket. The young men in the shop were super nice, professional, and quick. The owner is an older gentleman, a Vietnam veteran I believe, with a down to earth personality and signs around his counter that remind folks that are full of themselves to tone it down a notch. I won’t ever go anywhere else for tires again.

i stopped at luceros tire on my way through SLC because i needed two new tires before driving home to Louisiana. Lucero’s sold me two new tires, fixed a tire i had «fixed» with fixaflat, and magically made my steering wheel stop shaking, all for 60 bux. seriously 60 bux? that’s incredible. plus they were sweet and genuinely concerned for my safety. i couldn’t be happier.
Also they sell beer and there’s a sign that says «lucero’s pretty worms» that leads me to believe they may also sell worms.

I needed a couple tires for a used trailer I recently bought. These guys were great! Did the job fast and actually charged me less than quoted. Tell me the last time that has happened to you (probably never). Anyway, I will return for future needs.
