Michael Berry Gallery and Frame Shop

I first discovered Michael Berry when looking for art to buy in SLC. I had had a piece framed before but in another city. Most of the galleries I strolled had outrageous prices on their works and I knew they were well beyond my pocket book. Michael had a good selection of art, average size gallery, or even a little on the smaller size. The prices were reasonable as well. Only a few hundred bucks for the same quality oils and graphites that were running thousands at other places.
Michael himself is a wonderful man. I’ve been going there three years or so and he’s always friendly, attentive, funny, quirky and sporting a semi 5 oclock shadow!
His work is framing is top of the line. He has a whole wall. He’ll go through any piece with you, suggest frames, let you pick, measure it out and give you a price. I’ve had four pieces framed by him and I am always stunned at how perfect they turn out! The frames always match the pieces perfectly, they come with a line of wire in the back to hang instead of the dreaded teeth that are on the top of the frames you can get at Walmart, his store sticker and usually some other screws if you want to mount the piece.
I can’t recommend this place enough!
