Called them to report a pronblem with spamming from their company, over 500 popup windows per day on my computer, and the person who answered the phone, Melanie, thought it was funny and started laffing at me. Why would I give money to a company that is so pathetic and desperaet that they treat people like this?

I ordered the Inspire Q Huntington Trestle Baluster 7 piece extending dining set on 5⁄30. It shipped on 6⁄16 and I received delivery 6÷27÷15 almost a month after placing the order. When my table arrived, it arrived without the chairs. I mentioned this to the delivery folks and they said they didn’t have any chairs. I marked on the manifest that I did not receive the chairs. I have been calling overstock, a company who prides themselves on their award winning customer service, everyday for almost a full two weeks about my missing chairs! Someone always promises to follow up with me the«next» day but it’s always me who makes the call at the end of the business day after not hearing back from the person who says they will call me. I am frustrated because I have a brand new house and in my dining room sits a beautiful table without the chairs!!! In addition to not having my chairs, I am also plagued with what seems to me as outrageously poor customer service handling processes by overstock. I’m without chairs for 6 weeks and have to do my own follow up and am repeatedly told something about a dock search and a parts replacement. Certainly overstock you must have better relationships with your warehouse vendors that enable you to perform such tasks as dock searches in less than 72 hours as promised to me every day for 2 weeks! That’s three 72 hour rotations and definitely ample time to have gotten a response. I heard the customer service fellow mention today when I called the specific chairs I ordered are now out of stock… What exactly does that mean for me as a consumer who is growing weary of your internal process overload? Will my family continue to eat meals on the sofa? Will we be waiting to see if we are going to eat Indian style in the dining room for Thanksgiving and Christmas? I do not know what to think at this point but what I can tell you is this… Through this process you have definitely not earned the right to have my repeat business in the future and I will not recommend you to any friends or family who are thinking about purchasing from you. I am just that unhappy with my experience.

My hubby and I really like this store. It’s like a new DI. They won’t always have what you’re looking for, but what they do have is at bargain pricing. I’ve seen built in fireplaces here, rugs, vacuums, shoes, jewelry, coAts, barstools, chairs, and so much more. The only downside is sometimes some things are damaged because I believe all the product is returned or damaged and that’s how they offer it at a discount. But overall, we like shopping here, got some rustic barstools and other little things, so win win.
