They have an extensive breakfast menu and also offer lunch or dinner items. This Korean owned café have some really good charbroiled/grilled burgers at really cheap price points. I would even say they do burgers a tiny bit better than B & D. The char flavor on their meat is just THAT good. «Yay! I’m a fan».

Great breakfast burrito! The wife loved her croissant sandwich and the kids loved their chocolate pancakes. Good customer service as well! Definitely coming back.

I am visiting from out of town and trusted Unilocal for my first breakfast in SLC. What a mistake! NOT good, folks — not good. I mean, it’s not going to kill you. And, the bread was actually quite lovely. But, the eggs were cooked with so much grease, and on too high a heat.(Hey — I was a short order cook for several years, so I do know.) And the has browns were all white and gooey and not at all crispy. Also, the«fresh squeezed» orange juice was watered down. And, the place is more of a cafeteria in feel than a restaurant; you are served on plastic plates, with plastic silverware, and on a dining hall tray. Finally, the single restroom has this ginormous air duct in the wall, immediately next to the toilet. Swear to God, the duct is large enough for a small adult to crawl into and watch people all day long. Y’know, if they were into that. Creepy. Anyway — not a classy place. Maybe efficient. Maybe convenient for folks who work nearby. But, not quality.

Absolutely delightful! From the lovely owner taking our order, to the breakfast burrito and bagel sandwich. We sat outside and enjoyed a nice break from the day and enjoyed the change of pace. I cannot comment on lunch but will most certainly come back for an AM delight.

Come here for the burgers or breakfast burritos, the other menu items are hit and miss. The staff are always friendly and the prices are good.

Great for breakfast. It’s always hot and freshly made with real ingredients. 100 times better than fast food breakfasts, with the same speed and price. I’m less impressed with their lunches. The bulgogi is delicious if you’re in the mood for that. Their waffle fries are amazing. However their burgers are cooked to death and are really thin and the one time I got chicken strips they were under cooked. Still if you avoid the chicken strips its a great place to pick up a quick lunch. Especially for the price.

I like the breakfast items at Smile Café. They are quick, inexpensive, and pretty good for the value. The location is great, but there are sometimes strange people hanging out front asking for change or weird questions and that’s a downside of this place.

I had the spicy burger, and while it was incredibly juicy, it was also incredibly messy. Not a fan of messy burgers. It also wasn’t nearly as spicy as I would have liked, and the flavor was just okay. As for the sweet potato fries, they were just okay too. Certainly not the Bayou’s caliber. I must admit though, the prices are great, and I’m tempted to return to try the Bulgogi.

I’ve been going here for a few months to grab a delicious breakfast burrito when I didn’t have time to cook breakfast. I’ve been waiting to write a review until I tried their lunch. The breakfast burritos are great tasting and coming in under 5 bucks I feel like they are worth the $. The rest of the breakfast menu is just ok. I was disappointed with lunch, the burger was only a step above fast food. For 4 bucks I guess I can’t complain too much though. I’d still rather grab a burger here than from the burger king across the street. One thing that is a bit awkward is how the guy(asian guy that owns the place) takes your order, rings you up, then stands with his hands on his hips and stares in your general direction while the gal in the kitchen makes the food. For hells sake — don’t just stand there staring, bus some of these dirty tables, or help in the kitchen, creeper: p

Really good place. Items I’ve had: Burgers — They are all good, really good. Roast beef sandwich — like it came from your mom’s crockpot. good. Breakfast burrito — really good and cheap. Philly cheesesteak — not great but passable. Fries — really good. Sweet potato fries — really good.

I stopped in here for a muffin and hot cocoa before I went to work. The hot cocoa was sweet, and rich– just the way I like it. The muffin was homemade, not-too-sweet– it relied on the blueberries for the sweetness. I’ll definitely try this place for the breakfast sandwiches and lunch soon. The owners are really friendly as well! With a place like this, I can’t figure out why anyone would go to the lousy Burger King across the street.

This place has good quick food that is pretty inexensive. I have had the croissant b-fast sandwiches and they are very good. Larg too, for about $ 2 – 3. I have also had the simple egg, potato, and bacon b-fast which is also cheap. For lunch I’ve had the rueky and avocado sandiwch and the bulgogi — a Koren dish. The owner is Asian and so has a decent amount of Asian style(more Korean) offerings on the menu. They also have a wide variety of snacks like homemade cookies, brownies, fruit cups, etc. The offer b-fast burritos, salads, sandwiches, great burgers, hot lunches. etc. For the price and quality, you can’t beat it. UPDATE: tried the Smile burger for the first time with their homemade fries. PLEASANTLYSURPRISED! The meat was very flavorful, like a good homemade burger and the bacon and mushroom was nice, not all gooey and messy and runny like other chain burger places. the Homemade cross-cut fried were tender, homefried and not greasy. Purtyydaggumgood. UPDATE2: The owners are Korean and today they had an outdoor concert and sold Korean bibimpap. First time trying it. Was great! Got the beef with grilled chunks of steak and chili sauce. The sauce was smoky/earthy sweet chili sauce. Just the right amount of heat. Mix everything really well with the sauce and its very nice.
