A solid Smith’s experience with a fourth star for the super convenient location and quick access. Use your Smith’s card for cheap gas and pop in for better than average gas station donuts; better than smith’s own Supermarket donuts in point of fact because they’re outsourced. Soda fountain has a limited selection, but it’s nice to have at all in such a little building. Staff were friendly and made nice small talk with our two year old.

I like this location because its right off south temple, smiths is almost always 20 cents cheaper than Chevron a few blocks away, and smiths also gives further discounts on top of that(rewards points). It’s not a super nice gas station(like the ones in Park City, and it can be frustrating getting around if the place is busy bc the lanes are narrow. Okay place to get gas.

What I love about this place is how fast the dude does the transactions for you. Like literally, you will go in, take your sweet time getting stuff, and without realizing all your stuff is already paid and you are ready to go. Legit. What sucks? super tiny, kinda cold, and the space to move around pumps it’s quite skinny and scarrrry to drive your carro around. What’s cool though, it was nice parking spots, its cheap gas, takes smith’s rewards, and its in the neighborhood.

Everytime I get gas anywhere I try to use my gasbuddy app to find the nearest gas station with the lowest price. This gas station is the lowest in like 10 miles around(surprising for downtown). Definitely worth the eastbound drive for cheaper gas.

I know its hard to believe but even hip urbanites like myself have to gas up their Fiat, moped or gas guzzling SUV. The problem with needing gas while you’re in the downtown area is its usually expensive. The solution? Smith’s Express! This is a small gas station, its part of the whole Smiths/Kroger empire but its unique in that its not connected to a grocery store. The gas station has 4 dual sided pumps on two islands. One of the islands isn’t covered so you might catch a little weather while gassing up. The pumps are new, they have all 3 grades and diesel available. The best part is… cheap gas! This has to be the cheapest gas north of Sandy. They always have the best price in the area. Need a snack? They have a nice convenience store to fill up on snacks and sodas. There’s a large soda fountain to make you’re favorite beverage. The fountain drinks were as cheap as the gas. The lot the station is on is small so it can get crowded with people jockeying for pumps. The station is older so the two bathrooms are on the outside of the building. I’ve never been in them so good luck on that. And of course you can use your Smith’s Rewards grocery loyalty card here too. And you’ll get all the great discounts to make that cheap gas even cheaper!
