Sweet little neighborhood library. It’s compact, cute, quiet and well-kept. There is a gorgeous little courtyard out front with tons of shade and the library itself is set way back, making it feel like a secret clubhouse. There isn’t a huge selection of books, but those they have on hand seem designed to catch the essence of their respective categories. There are thousands of DVDs, way more than I’d expect. Most of these are… Less than watchable B-movies… but there’s always the online reservation system between libraries. Even at 9th in line for a TV series I still got it in just a few weeks. There is a very small play area for kids and tons of kids books. There’s also a teen room, study room and conference room. The men’s bathroom is of the single serve variety and there’s a changing station in there. Love this little library. I look forward to making it a regular stop on walks through the neighborhood, and taking in shows like magic, story-time and puppetry for Jr.

This sweet little library lives up to its name. It was our refuge when we first moved to the Avenues and didn’t have internet service yet. It provides us with books, movies and a place that is just enough uphill to walk to without getting too sweaty. A gem.
