This place is fantastic, they are super fast and friendly! Everything tasted so fresh, my first time I did all the meat tacos, they are amazing. Second time around I tried the green chile chicken burrito. So damn delicious, perhaps too much food for one, my Husband and I probably could have split a burrito and ordered a taco each! I have been craving this place for a week, and it satisfied my craving like no other. Taco taco your my new favorite place, I hope you don’t get sick of me, I’m going to be around more!

I know I know… you say, «Daniella, you just moved to SLC, how can you already have a favorite Mexican restaurant already?» but I tell you, it’s true — Taco Taco i my favorite Mexican restaurant in SLC. It’s not a huge selection but they’ve got all the important stuff — pastor, carne asada, zucchini blossom, and chicken mole. It’s a tough choice between sitting outside or sitting inside. When you sit outside, yes there’s the sunshine but inside, you get the pleasure of enjoying the best restaurant music around. I swear this place plays the best music! After having both the tacos and burritos, I prefer tacos. I’m the annoying person who orders the tiny 2 oz samplers so I can try everything so, obviously I like getting the tacos. The burritos are you good if you’d rather have a huge portion of something you know is good through and through but someone like me gets bored easily so I go for 2 or 3 tacos depending on my mood. Also, the condiment bar is amazing! Not your average condiment bar with chopped tomatoes and bottles of Cholula… there’s lot of homemade sauces to pick from as well as fresh veggies like carrots and radishes and even pickled onions! There are also some of the prepackaged bottles of hot sauce if that floats your boat as well.

Cute little taco place just across the street from The Leonardo. I did not even notice this place before, but that’s probably me keep gawking at Les Madeleines fantasizing about their Koign Amann there. Ok let’s talk tacos. They are 2.50 to 2.75 for one. They are small, I can finish one in two to three bites, so if you are starving, get like, maybe 5 of this. The taco shell is really soft, which I really like. The Zucchini Blossom and Chicken Mole Negro that I tried were really good. Very tasty. At the small salsa bar at the back, they have this supposedly delicious green salsa in a bottle but they ran out when I was there. Bummer. The tortilla chips are alright. This place is good for a quick bite. The menu is limited — only Tacos, Quesadilla and Burrito, 5 varieties each. You order at the counter and eat your merry way. Everything is self serviced. Maybe because of this, the place isn’t the cleanest. Still, I actually can’t wait to come here again to get more tacos, if I’m in Downtown. I wish we had similar place down South.

I walked in to grab a quick taco, and then my tastebuds exploded. I think the zucchini blossom taco is the best taco I’ve ever tasted.

This place is one of my favorite lunch spots in SLC. Every type of meat is amazing. I especially love the Al Pastor, must have! Everyone is really nice and helpful for first timers. You should definitely try it out!

Taco Tuesday rules. Super cool. Super hip. Super tacos! $ 2 tacos on Tuesday. Superb flavor and salsa bar. Intimate interior but great outdoor seating options. Quick service that’s friendly too! Great downtown vibe & location. Expert tip — you can sit in the Canella’s outdoor seating as well.

Nice outdoor seating — lots of shade. Nice salsa bar. Yummy squash blossom tacos — they add some gooey cheese and some sort of chile pepper and maybe other ingredients too. Average nachos — lots of plain chips at the bottom — but you can supplement with toppings from the salsa bar.

This place is perfect. Friendly service, food is on point and the patio is lovely. The burrito salad is delish and they have a great and affordable kids menu.

Between my husband and I, we tried all the different tacos and we loved every single one. His favorite was the pork, and mine was the chicken chile verde. Great atmosphere & décor, friendly staff, and delicious food!

Taco Taco is the wind beneath my wings. I would surely parish without good tacos in my life, and Taco Taco, as it’s name so aptly suggests, it just the place for that. First of all, Tuesdays are… you guessed it… TACOTUESDAY. All tacos are $ 2. You can’t go wrong. Their salsa bar is LEGIT and filled with all kinds of tasty toppings. My personal favorites are the green tomatillo and the pico de gallo. Their guac is aaaaaahhhhmazing. Their tortillas are the real deal. The carne asada is the real life incarnation of what my dreams are made of. But seriously… they use a great cuts of all their meat that’s not fatty or gross. Everything is cooked just right and you get your food quick. Service is fast and friendly, and their house drinks(especially whatever that watermelon witch juice is) are phenomenal. Go get your taco on. I promise it won’t disappoint.

My coworker told me about this place and told me that the tacos here are really good. After craving tacos for days, I finally got to give this a try and came here after work to order some tacos to go. Parking here is mostly street parking and you’ll need to pay for it, even if you’re there for 5 mins to order the food for take out. I got three tacos(carne asada, chicken mole, and al pastor wrapped in a corn tortilla). They added some of their tortilla chips in there for you to take home with you. There is a hot sauce/sides/pica de gallo bar for you to take home. My favorite is a light green sauce in a squeeze bottle. It is a bit spicy, tangy and very delicious. As for the tacos, the carne asada was a bit disappointing because there wasn’t the char taste that is usually carne asada. The al pastor was a bit dry for me, not really recommend it. My favorite though is the chicken mole negro. It is so flavorful and juicy. Here is another reason why I didn’t give this place a 5 star review, it’s all because of the tortilla chips they gave me. The first bite of the tortilla chips I’ve gotten for free it was definitely stale. I can tell these tortillas wasn’t freshly fried that day. I usually love tortilla chips and salsa… but this really disappointed me. I don’t know how I feel about this place. But I do recommend their chicken mole negro if you do decide to come visit.

I am hesitant to share this place because it is so so good. I moved here from Tucson and have been on a hunt ever since for some really good tacos. Well I found them here. Everything here is fantastic so have whatever looks good to you because it is. The only negative is it’s really small and really busy. I would like to put a public plea on this review to please move to a bigger place! They have a salsa bar and on Tuesday’s every Taco is only $ 2.00 now that;s a great great deal. They have authentic bottled soda from Mexico and bottled beer. I can’t wait until it gets warmer so I can sit there in the summer nights eating tacos and watching the sunset set. I have found my Taco place and I’m in love and not missing the Tucson food quite as much!

It’s like going to a taco stand with restaurant amenities. SOYUMMY. Boyfriend thought the chicken chile verde burrito was better than Red Iguana’s. And that’s his favorite place to go he is super picky. Will visit again!

Small hole in the wall resturaunt, but big style and huge on flavor! Had the AL Pastor burrito, and though 11 bucks is a lot for a burrito, small side of chips, and glass bottle of coke, I will definitely be back for more. I am usually leery of just having two tacos at places like this, which is why I went with the burrito(VERY filling) but their salsa bar with a bunch of fixins makes me not so worried with choosing a cheaper option. Will definitely be back. And when friends visit I will definitely take them here; the patio seating is enough for a larger group which would be scrunched inside.

Super disappointing! The tacos were soooo dry and the chips were stale. My husband tipped them and I don’t know why because it’s self-serve everything. They just brought the basic food out. Super gross hit the $ 1 tacos down the street if you’re looking for yummy authentic tacos.

This is an itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, little-tiny place with HUGE flavors! Looks like during the warm times, they open the patio, which will double the seating capacity. They need it. We were lucky to get the last available table on the night we dined here. I had a few tacos(al pastor and carne asada) and Lisa had a chicken burrito. My tacos were fantastic and her burrito was above average, but nothing special. The meat in my tacos was perfect; well-seasoned and cooked just right. The star here is the salsa/condiment bar. It has a bit of everything! It allows you to customize your food and make it as spicy, or gringo, as you wish. We ordered chips and salsa, and they too benefited from the many salsa concoctions. Yum! We also had margaritas… bonus! Try to get those at a cart, in the freezing cold parking lot, down the street! $ 2.50 for a street taco isn’t a bad deal, especially when you can sit down, in comfort, and enjoy it with an ice cold cerveza! I’m loving this taco place so nice they named it twice!

I used to be a huge Chipotle fan, but when given the choice, I’ll stop by Taco Taco for 3 Al Pastor tacos now. Love the ambiance, the drink choices, the outdoor patio, and taco Tuesday!

Outdoor patio is great in the warmer months. Super cute area. I bring my dog and tie him by a tree nearby in the grass. Close enough to downtown to go during lunch the wait is never ridiculous. These are more gourmet tacos. And the price reflects that well but on Tuesdays all tacos are $ 2. The zucchini blossom and smoked trout(seasonal special) are standouts. You get to choose between corn or wheat for your taco. The condiment bar is fresh, generous, unique, and they give homemade tortilla chips with every order. There is a water jug to help yourself and the service is very friendly, hip, and young.

Super cute little taco spot! It reminded me a lot of my favorite bar, Bodega, with their décor and the brick wall inside. The girl at the counter was friendly and welcoming. There was only two other people there when we came in, so it was nice and quiet for my husband and I to have a quick date night without the kids. We ordered zucchini blossom, chicken mole negro, al pastor and carne asada tacos, as well as chips and guacamole and rice and beans. The rice and beans weren’t anything special. Plain black beans and white rice with corn added. But I didn’t care too much though since they were so cheap and the tacos definitely made up for it. All the tacos were great but my favorite hands down was the chicken mole negro. So delicious! I think I’m just going to get those next time. The guacamole was good and a generous portion. The salsa bar had a lot of variety and great flavors. My only complaint would be that I wish they had a little more variety of taco meats, like some carnitas or chile verde. But other than that, everything was awesome! Thanks Taco Taco! We’ll be back soon!!!

*sigh* are tacos the new cupcake craze this summer? So basically they took a taco cart and pulled the pieces apart and put them in a building. That part doesn’t bother me. What does bug me is menu board, while at first glance it may seem straightforward but you overlook what the combinations are. Sadly the tacos didn’t have any flavor and the meat was kinda mushy. They were served plain and relied on the mystery condiment cart and lots of hot sauce. Cool things about this place is the use of the pizza oven to cook the tortillas. The selection of bottle hot sauce from the market that is famous for great sandwiches and hot sauce collection. Good for people who are afraid of the street taco carts, similar experience but you pay a bit more. A bit about my philosophy of cheap food made trendy, if you’re going to take food that is low cost everyday food and decide to charge 2 – 3 times more, you better have really stepped it up.
