After seeing the great results my neighbor was getting from taking classes at They Dailey Method, I decided it was time to get over my fear of standing next to Lulu Lemon supermodels and give it a try. My first day I was greeted by a super pleasant woman and the front desk who showed me around the studio, explained the details of the childcare and introduced me to the instructor. The facility is very clean. There are lockers, changing areas and even a shower. Childcare is offered for some of the classes, and my kids LOVE it. My first class was taught by Taylor. She asked me if I had any injuries and I let her know I had a bad left knee. She was understanding and showed me modifications when it was bothering me. After going for two months now my knee is still a bit off, but I can jump and land on it and even run which I haven’t been able to do for over two years. I appreciated that she remembered my name and was quick to greet me the next day. The other instructors I had that week were great at making me feel welcome as well. I felt that they paid special attention to me to make sure I was doing the moves correctly They had to correct me A LOT, but it never made me feel stupid. In fact they still have to correct me a lot. It is not an easy thing getting this proper alignment down. The classes are challenging, but they are not kidding. ANYONE can do these classes. I have seen every body type in my short time there. The classes can be modified for anyone. Honestly. I am addicted to TDM. It is fun and energetic, the moves are killer but always changing, and the community there is supportive and welcoming. TDM has made me longer and more confident. I am feeling muscles I didn’t know existed and love being able to fit into clothes that have been in the back of the closet for far too long. I guarantee if you give this place a shot you will see and feel results. They offer a Dailey Barre Class which is the class for anyone and it is 60 mins long. It is broken down into a brisk warm up, arm work, leg work, seat work and ab work. You stretch between the sets quite often to lengthen the warmed up muscles. And holy smokes if nothing else my flexibility has totally done a 180; I couldn’t even touch my toes and can now do the splits! The other class is Dailey Interval which adds more cardio and less recovery time and stretching. It is 45 mins. I usually do Barre 3 times a week and Interval 1 time a week. Interval is a killer for me still! As for the instructors I have had– Taylor is very fun and energetic, Jill will push you to a place you didn’t know you could go and Dallas is so amazing I cannot even put into words how much I enjoy her. I have had one class from Lauren and she is awesome as well! I feel like these women know their stuff and are truly there to make their students stronger and happier. They have done that for me. I highly recommend The Dailey Method in SLC.

I was stoked to find out SLC was opening one when we were destined to move here after internship year of my husband’s residency. I started my barre journey back in 2008 when it was all the rage in Weho, and after moving to San Jose for a brief rotation, got the chance to take classes at Dailey Method in the bay area. Unfortunately, LA has still never opened one up(there are Pure Barres, Bar Methods, even Cardio Barres, but in my humble opinion, none compare to Dailey!). For those new to Dailey, you will be hooked. It transforms your body quicker than lifting weights and with the new Interval options, you can also get your cardio on too! The instructors change up the exercises from day to day, so you’ll rarely be doing exactly the same routine so your body never gets comfortable and instead is consistently being pushed to transform. The studio is small but clean, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and most importantly comfortable with the same bright franchise Dailey colors will just brighten your mood, and the instructors are all super friendly, personable, and make it a point to get to know your name and point out that you’re doing great(when in reality, you’re about to sneak a break hehehe). It is pricey, but no pricier than any other barre studio, and there are always deals on Living Social and some community classes(free classes taught by potential future instructors just learning the ropes before they’re officially a teacher). Just remember to come in socks and comfy yoga wear, and they do have free socks to borrow with gripes if you just have regular ones and don’t want to feel like an outcast with your normal white socks(hey, nothing wrong with that either — I’ve done it a ton of times!) Also — bathroom super clean, and I love the fact that there are thong liners and liners, tampons, pads, and also — mouth wash in the restroom! The locker also has an area for you to lock your stuff, a shower, and some toiletries for you to use(hair spray, hand sanitizer, lotion, facewash, etc.) I love Dailey and I am so glad they are in SL and I am too. Oh, there’s also child care but the room is a bit small so I haven’t yet ventured out with my kiddos, so can’t report back. I do wish they offered more afternoon classes but maybe when more people go, this will happen eventually. Here’s hoping!

I decided to check out Dailey method during my trip to park city, Utah! Yes I did have to drive about 30min to get to class but I’m glad I did. Lauren was teaching the class and she was awesome! She introduced herself and remembered my name during class, which I appreciated because the good job kudos helped me feel motivated! Everyone was really nice and helpful and I would visit again in a heart beat. Thanks for the challenging class and if I ever find myself in the area again I will make sure to come back and visit

This is an amazing workout whether you like barre or not. Dailey Method is dynamic and challenging and great for any fitness level. I’ve taken Dailey classes mostly on the west coast but have found a phenomenal little studio here in Salt Lake City. I couldn’t be happier! The SLC instructors are super friendly and very knowlegable. They are very involved in the class and make the time fly by. Honestly, I prefer these teachers over the ones I’ve had in San Fran and San Diego. I’m relatively familiar with barre classes: Pure Barre, Barre Method, and Barre3, Xtend Barre, Dailey Method. My two favorite barre studios are definitely Dailey Method and Pure Barre. The class is split into sections where you’re focused on toning a certain muscle groups(core, thighs, etc.) using slow, controlled and small isometric movements. After taking class recently, when I was typing at work, I found my arms shaking uncontrollably since they’d been worked to complete exhaustion… it was awesome. Overall, I’d totally recommend Dailey Method. After a handful of classes you’ll notice a difference in the shape of your arms and legs. My core is also more defined. Results are pretty much a guarantee if you take it regularly.
