Leif came to my home last week and tuned up an old piano I got free year nearly a year ago. It was sounding so bad, I was reluctant to play it. After he tuned it up and even «voiced» it … it really sounds great and I actually enjoy playing it now! He was friendly and affordable and did a great job on my old piano! I would highly recommend him.

I wanted to buy a historic piano for my wife’s 40th but didn’t know where to start. I didn’t know how much to spend, what to look for, etc.
Leif talked me through the process and he and I worked together to research different pianos on Craigslist. For a reasonable fee, he went to inspect them in person. In short order, he uncovered an amazing value — a 1907 Steinway that was in fantastic shape inside but needed a lot of work on the finish/​casing.
We agreed on a price (very fair pricing) for its restoration and he set to work. He completed the work for the agreed price and ahead of schedule. It’s Beautiful!
He was a delight to work with. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I was looking for a certified piano technician to tune my studio Boston grand piano
built by Steinway. I’ve had several different tuners over the past 20 years, but this was the best one I’ve had. He not only tuned the piano, but took the front part apart to remove dust, (and found a pen!) and also suggested I have the piano «voiced» as it was very bright. I have never had a tuner recommend the voicing, but he was right, it was very bright. It was only $ 15 extra to have it voiced, and the tone is now much richer and smoother. A very thorough job for the same price as tuners I’d had in the past. Would definitely use him again.
