I always love the clothes in here but I feel like I generally get the cold shoulder from staff. I come in dressed like a messy mom and feel judged by my appearance. Employees at Mercer should know better — those in sweatpants may be able to afford your clothing!

Mercer has a store tucked away in the Pine Lake Shopping Center in Sammamish(on the«Plateau»). It’s odd finding a cute little boutique next to a QFC and Baskin-Robbins but it seems to flourish with the Eastside crowd. I’ve been to the store in University Village and I was curious about this store. It seems there are lots of little boutique stores popping up in odd places on the Eastside. First there’s Mercer on the Plateau, then a store called Olive in Redmond Ridge off Novelty Hill and a shop in the Whole Food Market complex off Redmond Way called Opal. Mercer had a nice write up in the Seattle P-I last year: I visited today — there were no sales but lots of cute clothes, a lot of premium jeans, Juicy Couture, DVF, C and C, Michael Stars, Theory. The service was nice and dressing rooms were large and well-lit. I didn’t look too close but didn’t see any handbags or many accessories(belts, jewelry). Opal carries alot of jewelry and Botkier handbags. They are hosting a Theory Trunk Show on Friday May 4th. They probably cater to the High School fashionistas since there are two very large AAA high schools within 3 miles but I, as a MOT(mother of two), found some trendy styles that didn’t make me feel like I was standing in Bebe or the Brass Plum at Nordstroms.
