Turning Leaf Tree Service

I encountered this guy as I merged from 520 to I-​5 heading South. I had to make my way over to the Mercer Street exit., but this guy wasn’t having it. He went out of his way to block me in; honk at me, and flip me off. And if that wasn’t enough, once I was able to get over, he pulled up along side me — gave me the finger again, and did one of those crazy «shake your head and yell» things. I couldn’t hear what he was saying, but he looked like a fool. I’ve never had him do work for me and never will. Someone who acts like this — with his business name and phone number plastered all over his car — is an idiot. I’m not surprised to see the other 1 star reviews based on this guys poor demeanor. I’m sure you can find someone better to cut down your tree.

I too had a terrible experience with this guy & his company. His communication skills are terribly lacking and he is full of nothing but condescending excuses. No I would not recommend him to anyone.

I had a terrible experience with this company.
I called and asked for chips to be dropped off at my house. They didn’t tell me they were coming, which would have been ok, except they dumped the chips at the wrong house. My neighbors next door were not happy, and the guys were just going to leave the pile there anyway. I talked to the manager, Tom, and he said he would come and move it. While we were waiting for him to come, I paid a friend’s landscape crew to move about two thirds of the HUGE pile. A week later, the rest of it was still there.
I called back and Tom said he was going to come and move it the next day. In the course of the conversation, he was very condescending, blamed me for my directions being confusing, and made excuses I gave them the correct address, so if they were confused, they should have called. But they didn’t. But he said he would move the pile to where it was supposed to be dumped, so at least he was going to fix it.
But guess, what? He didn’t show. The pile is still there in my neighbor’s yard.
I guess I’m going to have to pay someone more $ to come and move the rest of it and send Turning Leaf the bill. I just wish they would have done the right thing and taken responsibility for their mistake.

Tom and his crew were on time, on budget, and completely professional. His value is incredible and I will refer him to all of my clients. My property had about 20+ years of ignored maintenance and he topped, pruned, and thinned just about every tree on the property. I get so much more light and it’s encouraged me to start a landscaping project so that I can make my whole property beautiful.

We tend to procrastinate… a lot. Remember that horrific ice storm that happened last year around this time? Yep, we still hadn’t taken care of the trees with broken limbs on our property, nor had we trimmed back the trees that were in severe need of it. With the wind storm that hit us a few days ago, we decided it had become necessary, especially given the fact that the huge hemlock in front of our house had numerous broken limbs just hanging in the tree and some of the lower limbs were almost touching the ground. I had called another tree service we had used before and asked them to come out to review the property and they never even returned the call.
A property manager friend of mine recommeded Tom with Turning Leaf and I have to say that I was impressed from the word go. He came out and told me which trees were a possible problem and even said that a couple of the trees I thought were a problem didn’t need to be taken down. He looked at everything that needed to be done and gave me a reasonable quote. We scheduled a date for the work to be done and his guys, (three of the nicest, most polite guys you could ever wish for) came out on time and worked incredibly hard all day. They did everything we needed them to do and were professional and friendly the whole time while also being very safety conscious. They even cleaned up our walkway (which we hadn’t done in months) and swept the driveway! The service was spectacular.
I highly recommend Turning Leaf. In a time where customer service is secondary to everything else, Tom and his crew both suprised and delighted us with their fantastic attitudes. I will be recommending them to my friends and neighbors and calling them out again.
