Good food and good people! This isn’t a 5 star luxury, iron-chef or Michelin star, Chinese restaurant. This is, however, a 5 star mom and pop restaurant! Let me explain… Every summer since I was very young, my parents would drop my sisters and I off at our grandparents’ place for a few weeks. It’s tradition that we stop by this restaurant on our first and last day in San Andreas… and sometimes in between! Going here to eat is like going to see family. They know us by our names, they laugh with us, they chat with us, they’ve seen my sisters and I grow from children to young adults. The staff really makes an effort to connect with their customers… this isn’t something that big chain restaurants do, and it’s something I’ve grown to really appreciate. The customer service is A+! My favorite items on the menu is their honey walnut shrimp, sizzling beef plate(?? don’t remember the exact name), and house special chow mein. The portions are rather large, and the food really hits the spot!

It’s a hit or miss. The few times that I’ve been here were mainly because they are open at convenient times. Plain and simple: They have decent Chinese food that hits the spot when needed. Customer service could be a little more professional. They are extremely nice but sometimes slow and just unprofessional.

Tasty Food and friendly service. Worth a repeat meal. Cantonese style with a little flare. Full menu, beer, wine and sake.

Friendly people, but substandard food. I’ve tried it twice and was disappointed both times. The second time I ordered something different, thinking that it might be better and was disappointed again. If you have to have Chinese food go to Far East in Angels Camp, or Golden Wok in Jackson. They are both much better than this place. The biggest problem with this place is that it’s bland. The dishes I ordered did not resemble anything I had ever seen in the 100’s of other Chinese Restaurants I’ve eaten in. Not only was the seasoning wrong but many of the ingredients did not match the traditional version of the dish. If their version was an interesting«take» on the dish, I would applaud them, but it was more like, «We will use the cheapest ingredients possible, even though they don’t fit the dish.» Yes, their food is edible, but other than the fact that someone chopped up a bunch of vegetables, it doesn’t resemble Chinese Food(from any region)!

Food is rather bland and service is not so good. It is not bad, but there is nothing that I could say«try this». It is just okay. I cannot agree with the comments on service. I have eaten here five or six times, and never felt the service was good.

This restaurant has been in San Andreas for many, many years(which is incredibly surprising). As have I and my family, so naturally we’ve given this place plenty of chances throughout the years hoping its quality has improved. It hasn’t. If you’re looking for good quality Chinese food I wouldn’t recommend this place unless of course you’re used to subpar Chinese food. It’s only in business here because of the lack of competition and lack of restaurants in this small town, so people settle. If you really do not believe me, eat at this place, then a few days later eat at the Far East in Angels Camp(just another town away from San Andreas) and you will notice a huge quality difference. It sucks to have to drive out of town for good Chinese but I’d like to have quality food for the money I’m dishing out. On another note, the servers are very kind and attentive, and the place is decently clean(no idea about the kitchen). However it is dark and if you want to use the restroom, it is located outside and it’s not the prettiest of sights. They also play the regular radio(pop, country, etc.). I’m not sure if it’s just me but I like to submerge a tiny bit in the culture when I’m eating at a foreign food restaurant(matching music, décor, servers, etc.) and somehow Katy Perry and Tim McGraw just doesn’t give off that Chinese feel. Hmm.

Went with the family, we were worried, because we were the only ones there — and don’t have cell service in San Andreas, and couldn’t check on Unilocal.Well, we were so glad we stopped by! I agree with other Unilocalers, very clean, and very friendly! Great prices, and the food — very good! We all had lunch specials, My son loved his honey walnut chicken, I loved my chicken stir fry(sorry, can’t remember exact name) — but I hate dark meat & canned mushrooms and worry when I order stirfry, and it was all fresh veggies, and white chicken breast! Pot Stickers were amazing! We will definitely go back.

Let me, first of all, say that I am an Asian foodie from LA, so I know what good Chinese food taste like and this place ISNOT one of them. Most of my friends and acquaintances warned me that this place has a bad food, but I had to come here on late evening business dinner. One of the disgusting encounter with this place began when I opened the menu-a grotesque and curly PUBICHAIR! That just put my appetite go way down to hell fire. We ordered vegetarian soup, tofu stir fry with garlic sauce, and egg flower soup. They tasted OK, and the food they serve are supposedly devoid of high sodium and MSG, so if you are diabetic or hypertensive person then you may feel at ease to consume the food(did I mention I have masters degree in nutrition?). I didn’t expect to have a spectacular Chinese food at San Andreas, and my speculation is right. Go elsewhere, like in Sacramento or Stockton if you are looking for real tasty and quality Chinese food. Still now, the pubic hair I saw isn’t sitting well in my stomach.

I was not impressed with this place at all. While it was clean, and the servers were nice, the food was only so so… not really all that great, nothing that inspired me to return there, nothing that made me say never again, until… well… The real kicker for me is that after explaining my food allergies to the server, and discussing ingredients with him, and him verifying he understood, he still brought me food that I am allergic to on my plate. I was perfectly willing to pay for the entire plate, but had asked specifically that they not put the items I am allergic to on my plate…

Had dinner here late Sunday evening. Found nice clean location, very cool Chinese decorations inside! Staff were very courteous. Food was good, plenty of it, and very inexpensive too. Nice plate of chow mein, side of rice, with egg flower soup and tea, all for $ 7.60! Very enjoyable dining, I will be back!

This restaurant features some of the friendliest servers you ever hope to meet. They are always so nice to my family whenever we stop by to pick up our take-away orders. They always make sure to include extra sides of sweet and sour sauce for my sister. I like the Chow Mein, fried rice and walnut prawns. The rest of my family loves the broccoli beef. It is nice and crispy and served with fresh, not frozen steamed broccoli. Yummy!
