My experience at Ric Henry’s was not only the worst I have had at any mechanic, but it was the worst I have had at any establishment I’ve been to. I took my car into Ric Henry’s because at times my car felt like it would stall when I started it. I would have to turn it back on and then it would be fine. I dropped the car off at Ric Henry’s and they said it might be a few days to get some parts since it was a German car and the parts were in another town. I spoke with two of my old BMW mechanics who gave me suggestions of what they thought was wrong, but Ric Henry did not think that was the problem at all and wanted to proceed to fix something else. I obliged as he was the professional. By day four the shop called me and said that they had been test driving my car around all day and wanted a couple hours before I could come pick it up. When I asked why they were test driving it for so long they said that after they did the repairs and drove it around the block, the car died completely and they couldn’t get it started(which had never happened before) and they had to tow it back to the shop. They finally got it to turn on again later. I asked if they had done any work to fix the car since it had died and they said no but it was done and would be fine. I came in to pick up the car and they wanted to charge $ 500. Why would I pay $ 500 if the work they did resulted in my car dying and needing to be towed, especially when they didn’t do any repairs after that to ensure the problem was fixed? Ric informed me he thought he did the right repair because he used , and in 12 cases from people on the Internet who had the same problem I did, this certain fix worked. He clearly did not have much experience working on BMWs. Why is a mechanic relying on an online fix-it community that says something only has a possibility of working? I told him I did not want to pay the exorbitant labor costs because the problem was not fixed — in fact it worsened — and we began arguing like teenagers. Any semblance of professionalism he may have went out the window and voices were more than raised on both sides. He threatened to call the police if I left with the new part in my car(I called the sheriff who advised I just leave), at which point I offered to pay for the part but not the high labor costs, and he wouldn’t go for it. Instead he said he’d put my old part back in the car for free and I’d see just how«shitty» the car would run. I did not want him to touch my car again so after mulling it over outside, paid and left. The car had the same issue I brought it in for in the first place, and in fact it just got worse.

I recently had car trouble and wasn’t sure who to take my vehicle to. I was told that Ric Henry autoservice was the place to go to. I’m so glad I did. I was only without my car for one day. Shane is awesome he asked if I needed a ride home and also a ride to pick up my car. Who else would be so helpful. I even got a call after if everything was good with my car. I recommended this place to everyone…

I heard about Ric Henry’s from a buddy who got his car lights fixed here. My boyfriend brought his car to get repaired as well. They have forms so you can drop off the car before they open or after they close. I emailed them to ask about their pre-purchase vehicle inspection because I’m not from the area, and they responded the next morning telling me it was no charge and to just let them know when I wanted to bring it in. Shane Beardon always replied to any questions I had promptly. I found a car for them to inspect and they texted the inspection report to me within hours. They have a nifty green, yellow, red scale they rate each part they check, photos of the parts with issues, and any comments or recommendations they have. They ended up saving me from buying a car that looked pristine on the inside and out but had major mechanical issues that would be very expensive to repair. I’m very grateful and will definitely return as well recommend them to anyone in the area who needs their vehicle inspected and repaired.
