Coming to prenatal yoga at Pomegranate is the highlight of my week. It’s so wonderful and nurturing to be surrounded by other moms to be. I leave feeling relaxed, balanced and already looking forward to my next class!

This center has been an amazing part of my life as a first time mom. I attended their pre and post-natal and mommy/baby yoga and Pilates classes, new mom support group, older baby group and workshops and they have all been fantastic! They were reasonably priced too. The teachers are warm and inviting, and the support groups seriously saved me from postpartum blues. It was so helpful to have other brand new moms to get ideas from, to share triumphs and challenges with. I’m still friends with several. The physical therapy and other workshops were very helpful and made a big difference in understanding my new«mommy» body. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly and think every new mom should come here!!!

I am so thankful for this wonderful resource. Shannon is such a kind person who’s business is based on her passion to help families through the birthing and postpartum period. And that passion really comes through the yoga center. I have been going to pomegranate for prenatal yoga and now postnatal Pilates and mama baby yoga. The instructors are knowledgeable and the pace of the classes are just perfect for me. I love it here and can’t recommend it enough!

I could not speak more highly of Pomegranate! I have been attending prenatal yoga throughout my pregnancy and just love being surrounded by other pregnant, supportive women. Not only does Pomegranate offer a great workout but they are an incredible resource center for soon to be parents and families alike. My partner and I just attended the Birth Prep and Prenatal Partners workshops. We now feel so much more prepared for labor and delivery. The classes are taught by seasoned doulas who offer so much valuable information in a very comfortable enviroment. I loved how intimate the classes felt and that I could get all my questions answered. It was also great to meet other couples that are due around the same time. You can find a detailed outline of what each class covers on the website. I am SO happy I found this place! I encourage you all to check it out!

I’ve really enjoyed the postnatal pilates classes that I’ve taken here. The teacher is great and focuses on the rehabilitative aspects following pregnancy. It’s a small studio and a welcoming environment. It’s also possible to use child care during your classes. My only critique would be that I wished that they offered some sort of postnatal pilates class on the weekends or after work too – I’d love to continue my practice after my maternity leave is over.

Pomegranate is awesome, supportive, clean, and a great place to workout! I found this studio by word of mouth, recommendation from a massage therapist. I’m so grateful, Pomegranate is a gem! It’s really great to be surrounded by other women with pregnant bellies, and babies. They also offer massage and prenatal classes which I’m excited to check out.

I am so happy I discovered Pomegranate! It’s great to have an entire practice devoted to prenatal/postnatal – I had a practice before pregnancy, but I knew I needed and wanted a more specific focus during this time. Their staff is wonderful. I enjoy that the classes include a community focus; I’ve met so many other local women who are going through the same thing. The instructors have a lot of experience with labor/birth(some are doulas), so often classes include specific poses/practices/instruction that will be great tools for that process. Lots of classes at convenient times. The studio itself is really nice. Great feeling there.

Pomegranate calls themselves a «Parent Center,» but as a stay-at-home Dad there is no way for me to use this resource. I was specifically told I can’t attend the yoga classes, and that the only time I might be able to come by is for the singing class on Monday morning. All of that is totally cool — I’m all about healthy community resources for women — but the studio should change its name to make it clear that this is a place for Moms/women, and not for male caregivers.

I have been going here for a few months now and absolutely love this tiny studio. Its tucked away in San Anselmo and offers so many great services for prenatal care. Shannon and all of the staff are so warm and inviting and my 2 year old daughter has loved going to their free childcare offered with membership while I take a class. They offer classes most days of the week focused on prenatal/postnatal and also have a back room for massages. Did I mention the free child care? What else could you ask for in a prenatal yoga studio?

I really can not believe that Marin did not have an abundance of prenatal yoga before, but look no further. Pomegranate has it all. Yoga during the week as well as evenings and weekends for mamas-to-be in addition to postnatal classes. The postpartum Zumba class on Wednesdays is a really good workout and childcare is provided! Pom offers not only yoga but massage therapy, childbirth education classes, mother’s groups, midwifery services, and other specialty classes for families. This beautiful center offers much needed support for families in Marin. I am thrilled that Pomegranate is here and thriving!

After losing the amazing Jeanie, founder of Red Door Yoga, due to her move out of state… San Anselmo is back with another sweet little yoga studio! I am happy to announce that«Pomegranate» yoga has just opened up right behind Taco Jane’s restaurant. Pomegranate is a yoga studio with the unique focus of being a «sanctuary for expecting and new families» — it even offers child care in a side room during your yoga class(check for available times). Now although I am a wild, free, and happily childless Yogini(kids think I’m another kid and sometimes wandering sadhus follow me around like they are my kids when they really need food) I was still going try out«Pom» just as soon as I heard that the amazing Nubia T. was teaching there. I’m not sure if you are aware of it or not, but it is a bay area yoga community rumored that Yoga Tree Valencia literally has a specific«spot» on the floor where several pregnant women have all broken water during their prenatal classes. I like to think of it as a magic spot. It’s still yet to be determined if Pom has a «magic spot» yet but, if you get over there for a class, your baby could be the first one to find it! :)
I have been coming to Pom since their very beginning for prenatal yoga. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of mom’s and community to come to every week — multiple times a week. Now a year plus after birthing my sweet girl we can’t find a reason to stay away –mom & baby yoga, Pilates & zumba now! I truly love this place and what it brings to our already wonderful area. So many great resources can be found here!!!
